The straw that broke the camel's back was when we made repeated text messages with him indicating that he would indeed be here today at 10:00 to complete the repair . He indicated that indeed he would be here today. He was not. The issue is the owner of the vehicle has to take off work thus losing money to make these appointments . He did not show he did not reply to any emails or phone calls . As of this riding I'm still waiting to hear from him . I have contacted someone else to complete the repairs . As a business owner myself , I can't even imagine treating your customers this way . Do not use this person . I see the good reviews seem to be a year ago . I was hesitant to leave it 75 miles from my home town and had thoughts over the weekend to have it towed locally for repair. Not familiar with Columbia I Googled and Yelped Carolina Paint and Body for reviews and saw they had several mostly good or excellent and that made me feel better about having them do the repairs. I called and talked to Roger and he said they would get me an estimate done and get back with me. I think they called the next day and they explained the process and all the parts needed and gave me an estimated date for completion. Roger was in constant contact with me usually calling every Monday and Friday with an update. They were finished the repairs earlier than estimated but ran into a problem that required the Ford dealership's computer. That dealership's process took a few more days but was needed to complete the repairs. Roger worked with my insurance company and handle all the paperwork I only had to pay my deductible when picking up the car. All said and done, the repairs turned out flawless and I'm 100% satisfied with all the workmanship, parts and communication and would certainly would recommend Carolina Paint and Body to anyone looking for professional collision repair.

First a little personal background: retired, owner of (4) new Chevy or GMC vehicles since 2008 and…read morecurrently own a 2015 GMC Terrain and a 2016 Silverado 2500(both purchased new). A month ago the sunroof on the Terrain started pouring water from the right side of the headliner. Opened the sunroof and carefully poured water into each drain to determine what was leaking. The tube is not clogged because water isn't collecting in the basin that feeds the drain. Because I thought I needed to remove the headliner I took it to Fairey and was told I needed a new drain tube that would cost me approximately $1200.00 because they would need to remove the entire dashboard to replace it, but they would happily deduct the diagnosis fee from the bill if I came in for the repair. I paid them their ridiculous diagnosis fee thanked them and walked out. My expectation was a minimum 1 hour charge for the entire repair. The young man behind the desk was extremely professional and used all the right language but had no idea he was talking to someone with 37 years in the automotive repair business. If he could have seen inside my head the anger of "THE BEAST" was hiding inside a 72 year old man. Not at him, but at management and ownership. This does not happen in a vacuum!!! I'm jumping ahead of myself. When I left Fairey I remembered a collision shop about 15 minutes from my house and decided to check them out. For a small shop they were extremely busy. As I was explaining my problem to the desk clerk. The owner was walking by, stopped and immediately asked me "Why don't you fix it yourself, it'll take you less than 15 minutes. I've had 2 Terrains in here this past week with the same problem." I made an appointment and Best Auto Collision, North SC made the repair while I waited. Cost $20.00.
