    I was traveling across the country when I had a window make a horrible snapping noise from inside…read morethe door when I rolled it down. I was in an area I didn't know and pulled up repair shops on google using my phone. John Harris was the closest one and I figured why not stop and see if they could help. Super glad I did and they did more than just help, they got me on the road within 30 minutes of my arrival. I talked to Sarah at the front desk and told her what happened. She asked me what type of car and then called Michael who knew a lot about my type of car. He came up from the shop area and walked to my car with me. I told him I had heard a snap and he said he figured it was within the window regulator (I think...I'm not mechanical), even though the switch was still working, it was the piece inside the door that was common to break. He played with my car for one minute in the parking lot then told me he was pretty sure that was it. They didn't have the part needed to fix it but he said if I wanted him to he could try to open the door panel really quick and just put a screw through it to hold the window up in a closed position until I got home and could take it to a shop that would be able to order the part. I said yes because I still had a long drive back to CA and was trying to be on the road. He took the car back into the shop, pulled the window up, put a screw through the broken regulator to hold it there, and then disconnected that power window to make sure it wouldn't do more damage if the switch was accidentally hit. Then he brought the car up to the front and came back inside where he found me chatting away with Sarah. He explained what he had done and also told me to tell the next shop the window was disconnected. I thanked him and then asked what I owed the shop for their time and help. I was told nothing and to have a good and safe rest of my trip. I left with a perfectly functional closed window, more knowledge about my car, and what to expect on return to my normal mechanic. I could not be more happy with the service I received at John Harris and the true hospitality and customer service that I was given. Thank you Sarah and Michael for helping me during my trip!

I…read morespent several hours in the lobby waiting on my wife to pick me up and my belongings after the accident. Every one I met was genuinely concerned about me and were very accommodating. They even kept the doors open late on a Friday until my wife could get there from Charlotte. I had multiple phone calls afterwards due to my insurance company leaving the car there for over six weeks. Every time I spoke with them the were very helpful and informative. I am also attaching the correspondence with SilverRock noting that the claim was approved on 5/12, the day after submitted, which contradicts the company's response as well. At the end of the day my biggest issues were with the lack of honesty and transparency, so I feel it's only appropriate to add this to my review. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Gerber based on my experience. The staff was always courteous, but the overall process was disappointing. My vehicle was dropped off on May 7 with an estimated repair time of about two weeks, and I was told May 28 would be the absolute latest completion date. Instead, my vehicle remained disassembled for weeks, multiple promised completion dates were missed, and I ultimately didn't get it back until June 15. Communication was the biggest issue throughout the process. I frequently had to reach out myself for updates, and we were given conflicting information about the repair timeline. We also experienced repeated issues with the rental authorization, resulting in multiple calls from Enterprise while we were on our family's vacation because the authorization had not been submitted correctly. When I finally picked up the vehicle, the repair was not actually complete. The newly repaired bumper was not sitting flush and could be pushed in and out, requiring me to return the vehicle for additional repairs. I also found new scratches around the replaced "Elevation" emblem on the rear hatch that were not present when I dropped the vehicle off, adhesive residue left behind from the repair, and the driver's area was returned covered in dust and debris from the repair process. I appreciate that the staff remained polite and ultimately addressed the bumper issue, but what should have been a straightforward repair turned into more than a month of delays, repeated follow-up on my part, and a second repair visit. I hope this feedback helps improve communication, quality control, and attention to detail for future customers.

    Barry of Dozier's Paint & Body Shop Inc. took great care of us after Lexington County Public Works…read moredrove into our driveway with a huge utility truck and smashed our trailer into the back of our vehicle. A manager at Mavis referred us to Barry, because he said they wouldn't let anyone else touch their vehicles. We were planning on using our vehicle to drive to a booked/non-refundable vacation destination, but Hurricane Helene had Dozier's without power for a week. Even so, Barry kept us informed, and we were able to leave our vehicle with him and get a rental. So, we still got to enjoy our planned vacation and get our vehicle fixed at the same time! When we came back from our trip, our car looked great with a new hitch, bumper, etc. It definitely looked cleaner than when we left it too! We were also able to leave Barry the rental vehicle and keys to pass on to Enterprise! We highly recommend Dozier's! It is a family business with people who go the extra mile to make getting auto/body work done far less painful than having it done anywhere else! They are very professional, honest, dependable, and worth going a few extra miles to Battesburg-Leesville to get our vehicle fixed right! We are very pleased with the work Dozier's did on our vehicle! They provided excellent customer service!!! We are very happy to have our vehicle back whole again!

When I picked up my vehicle...5 weeks later. My bill was $2300. I was informed it was a mandatory "scan" charge by Caliber. ??? Yes, I paid it just to get my car back at this point. When I questioned them on why it wasn't on original, they couldn't answer my simple question. hmmm I had items in the trunk of my vehicle and wanted to ensure they were still there. Trunk lid would not close. Supervisor had to come out pull it back into bay to adjust. Again, inconvenience but let me just get out of here. When I actually looked over my vehicle in my driveway. I realized the trunk lid was not level. Left side sat below quarter panel. Right side was over quarter panel. Posted in pics. At that time, I realized the paint didn't even match. Isn't this the most important part of a body repair??? It started to make sense that someone knew the paint did not match. When I picked up my vehicle, my car was the only vehicle which was backed into the parking space. All others were front faced. Interesting huh??? They knew that I would have noticed, or anyone would have noticed the paint did not match for that matter. Extremely obvious in pics provided. Quality control is nonexistent.
