I searched for weeks to find an upholstery shop that could restore a vintage Victorian style couch, chair and dining room chairs. But as soon as I came across Sit Well's website I knew I had found a company that had the requisite expertise to do the job. From my first call with the owner Rick, to the home visit with their interior designer Cheyenne I was enthralled by their professionalism, and their level of expertise, attention to detail and views on environmentalism. His prices are fare, his work is excellent and his turn around time right now is about three weeks. He is currently working alone because he's having a difficult time finding help, so if you have items that you can drop off and pick up on your own that will help speed up the process. I also bought my own fabric from Fabric Depot up the road, but that's how I like to do it. He did pillow covers, a cocktail ottoman and two benches for us at an extremely reasonable rate compared to other upholsterers I spoke with.

Unable to source a new base, F&R seamlessly welded a new post on to the original one. I also requested a total reupholstery with new leather and padding. The chair now looks better than new. The other item was restrapping a Breuer chair - less challenging perhaps - but perfectly executed. The company kept me informed throughout the process and were unfailingly civil and responsive.
