I will never go back and I have been a long time customer. The cashier was rude and obnoxious and when I told her I would get with the owners, she said she was the owner's sister. I am sometimes out Sutton's Bay way. Usually for a treat from 9 bean rows bakery, or a boat trip with Inland Seas, or haunting the nice consignment shop. Either way there are many nice things to see and do in the Leelanau county environs. If you visit by way of M-22, chances are you will fancy a restroom, gas, or snack stop here. Their deli makes excellent salads, don't worry less healthy eats are also available. Don't miss the little free library outside (little free libraries are my pandemic obsession). Try the Leelanau tea, with cherry juice, of course. read more

Surprisingly great wine selection! I enjoyed the Sonoma Liberation -- twice. Nice shelves full of local varieties and many from California, New Zealand, et al. This little market is a blast from my past. I grew up about .1 mile from this store back when it was just called "Jack's." My dad would return cans here, I'd grab a bottle of fruit punch (straight sugar) and we'd head to the beach. Repeat 400x. I have very fond memories of this place, a mainstay on the M-22 drag and basically the only place you can get gas between Traverse City Speedway and Downtown Suttons Bay. They have firewood bundles! Propane refills! Gas! Wine! Pretty great food that's portable to the beach! The real gem in the summer though is the self-service, honor box produce stand perched out front. A delightful spread of farm fresh produce. I always stop and pick up a few things. Most recently a jar of homemade pineapple mango salsa -- divine. Throw in a few cukes, some spinach, peppers and squash and you, my friends, are in veg-business. read more

Our vacation rental owner recommended this spot for good pizzas and salads. Exhausted from a full day in Northern Michigan, we opted for an easy dinner by the lake. Ordered: Pepperoni, Onion w Provolone Pizza-good, tasty and best of all the little one happily are it (he is picky, even w pizza--we don't get it). Mozzarella, Fresh Tomato w Pesto Pizza- the pesto made it different than your normal carry out and this was the family fav. Meatball sub-pretty standard but fulfilled a prego craving. Greek Salad-a very good salad, better than you might find in some area restaurants. Turkey wrap-after indulging in lots of delicious food, one was seeking something lighter and more basic. Friendly neighborhood gas station. This little market has delicious coffee in the morning from the Leelanau Roasting Company, so you know its going to be delicious! They always have good pizza, salads, and fresh sandwiches for when you're in a hurry! Friendly staff as well. read more

Moved in nearby a couple months ago. For gas station food you'll be sweetly surprised. Everything they make is good. Pizzas are incredible. The only thing I can think of that's not so great are the fries which can get kind of soggy. It's not Gourmet by any means, but definitely worth your time if you're hungry. read more
