Good old country bar with plenty of seating, a huge backyard with horseshoe pits and picnic tables. A nice stage inside with a sound system. We stopped in on a Friday afternoon and had pints of the Special Kind of Evil, a hoppy IPA style pour and the All Hallows Ale, a riff on a porter. Porters aren't my thing but this was really good with all sorts of spice - cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, etc. The IPA was a nice balance between a regular one on the hoppy side and a more Imperial style - ABV landed between 6 and 7%. The atmosphere here is just something special - it reminds me more of an English pub, where friends hang out together every day to catch up and fraternize with their neighbors. And the service is both knowledgeable and generally friendly, emphasis on genuine. Oh and their merch! Not your normal merch! A lot of it is handcrafted - really nicely done leather items, hand crafted. I really wish I could pick this place up and take it home with me to Ohio!
