Walked in today (we are locals)got seated by the hostess, sat there 20 minutes with not even an acknowledgement we were there. Not one person came to even take a drink order. The ponytailed bar tender looked at us multiple times and didn't even try to get someone to serve us, the blonde manager walked by us multiple times, and the other waitresses were serving everyone around us that came in after. I was blown away with my experience here. The hostess was very nice and friendly. She got us a high chair without me having to ask. The waitress was great and checked on us several times throughout the meal. The food was excellent and fairly priced. The shrimp tacos were fresh and delicious. I was looking forward to returning to The Pour House but was disappointed by the limited lunch menu. The did not serve the salad dressing on the menu at that time and the one they suggested Korean BBQ something did not appeal to my taste buds. The margaritas was great, my saving grace. Truly one of my favorite places to go and sadly I can't tell you about the other foods they have because the Jiddah Buddha's bowl is so good I get it every time. My family members a burger and a power chicken bowl and declared it was all delicious. They did a nice sub on the rice for me as I don't eat white rice -- brown rice with quinoa and it was amazing! Stopped in for a beer while driving around this beautiful area of Tennessee. The crispy Brussels sprouts and bacon end with balsamic glaze made a delicious snack. It's unassuming from the outside. Great food and prices! Wings are not on the menu but they are doing a special right now so I got the wings which come tossed in any sauce you like along with fries and carrots/celery. I got mine tossed in a Korean bbq sauce and they were really good. Wings were small but hard to beat for the price. I really liked the fries too as they were seasoned nicely. They have really good beer specials so I think my beer was only $2. My friend got the spicy Cajun pasta and raved about it. If I'm ever back I'll likely order that. We were lucky to get the last available table last night after we walked out of the Brass Lantern. The service is really stellar, as are the cocktails. My husband had the Chattanoogan and I had the grownup Blackberry lemonade, both really good. Our server was Madison, and she was on top of everything at all times. The acoustics of the place make it pretty loud, but it still seems to be a cool place to be. The menu has many really inventive offerings. Unfortunately, the execution falls short. Came here a couple of times and both times loved the meals and the drinks were top notch.

I'm sure there are times that this place runs well but our mid afternoon mid-week visit went very poorly. It took about 10 minutes to be seated in a pretty much empty restaurant, then after 20 minutes of receiving no service or greeting we left. There was plenty of staff strolling around and talking to each other, but none seem interested in doing business with us. Maybe we stumbled upon a local place that didn't appreciate people from out of town. Maybe it was shift change. Don't know about the food, we never got beyond a first impression. read more

This is a nice chill spot. Good service. We liked our pickle appetizer but could have done without the Brussel sprouts . They were cooked really well but their combination of toppings made them like candy that gets stuck in your teeth. I really liked my Fish & chips. It had light but crunchy breading. Not a fishy flavor. The wings were just average nothing special. A few got burgers. I didn't get to snap a picture but Each one said theirs was good. Tonight we went to the pour house bistro for the second time on our trip! The ambiance of the restaurant was welcoming! Once again, our food was incredible. I had the Carolina smash burger while the other had the Korean bowl, chicken Caesar wrap, and the fish and chips. We had great service and the food came out extremely quick. Tried the Pour House for dinner based on the ratings. Have to say our visit was disappointing. Service was very friendly but slow and not very attentive. In her defense, I think she had too many tables. Not much ambiance in the dining area to match the cool name. We did like the bar however. Their $14 Old Fashion (not the smoked option) was great and my wife thought the best she has had in her normal drink of choice. Buffalo Trace on the rocks was a stingy pour, but only $9. They have a wide bourbon selection. Our entrees were the shrimp and grits - delicious with homemade grits, shrimp, and bits of alligator sausage - and the Korean BBQ spicy tacos with pork. The tacos came with chips but I updated to fries. The tacos were very disappointing. They come three to an order. The tortillas are grocery store quality flour and cold. Tortillas should be steamed! Their wasn't a lot of pork and it was crispy and dry. Finally they were not spicy in the least. The fries were ok, but I don't care for battered fries. Give me the normal McDonald's style every time. We wanted dessert after reading about the homemade nature. They only had two options: pumpkin pie or chocolate cake with chocolate icing. We sadly passed. Ate here for first time as in town for a special event. I ordered the Power Bowel (sautéed vegetables (zucchini and yellow squash), brown rice quinoa blend, topped with grilled shrimp. It was delicious!!! I would go back just to dine in this again! We ordered the crispy Brussel sprouts with pork belly and balsamic as an appetizer. I'm not a huge fan of sweet balsamic but the pork belly cut it. I placed some Brussels and pork in my power bowl and that was a perfect compliment. Our server was excellent. We have been to The Pour House twice now (once for dinner and once for lunch) and both times the food, drinks, and service were all great. I didn't expect the "hipster" vibe in the bar area after coming through the nondescript entryway but we were pleasantly surprised by it. I enjoyed their salad selections and was happy with the freshness of the produce and the tasty preparation of the chicken breast added to the salads. My husband got the shrimp and grits and said they were good. We tried the chicken gnocchi and it is a delicious and very filling dish we both brought some home as we could not eat it all. Service was friendly and it's an interesting building. I had never been to Crossville, TN before. So when I arrived, I of course looked in the Yelp app for a great restaurant. After reading lots of the reviews on Yelp and checking out the menu online, I decided to give it a try. It's a really cool place. It was packed, even on a Wednesday night, so I figured it would live up to the great reviews on Yelp. It was pretty loud, but that didn't bother me at all. The clientele were all just chatting and laughing, and having a good time, which is good! My server was great. I placed my order for a protein bowl with shrimp, and added a side of brussel sprouts because they looked so good in all the Yelp reviews. Not long after placing my order, the server came to me and said the kitchen was a little backed up that evening, and because of that, she would try to get my brussel sprouts out before my meal instead of with my meal, which I greatly appreciated since I was starving. The brussel sprouts were so good! They hit the spot! Not long after that my protein bowl arrived and it was delicious. I ate it all up! I really like the wide variety of menu items that The Pour House Bistro offers, from burgers to tacos, salads and even sushi. There truly is something for whatever you're craving on their menu. The server was awesome! She checked on me multiple times while I was waiting for my food after it all arrived. My only complaint is that she never offered to refill my beverage, but that didn't bother me much. The restaurant was super busy and I knew she had lots of other tables to tend to. I came here for dinner after a long 12 hour day of driving and I was beat. This place was a pleasant surprise. It has a great inviting ambiance and it's very homey. I sat at the bar and was promptly greeted. They have a decent selection of local beers. I had the seasonal salad which was excellent and a great size. They didn't skimp on any ingredients including the chicken. Greens were fresh. I also got a mojito. It was pretty good, not an authentic mojito but it works. Several items on the menu looked great, we settled on Sushi Bowls. Wasn't expecting the see so many options for Sushi. My husband order the Spicy Tuna Bowl with Jalapeños and I had the Salmon Bowl. If I could leave zero stars I would. Absolutely horrible service. Took over an hour to get our food we were the ONLY table in the restaurant and didn't even get the correct order...we were missing entrees, cold food, and had to get our own refills. One of my favorite places when visiting Crossville. The fish and chips are a popular menu item, it's the special made tartar sauce that makes them out of this world! Our first visit....sat at the bar for lunch... our server was very nice & accommodating putting the finals in tennis on the TV for us. Beer cold, shared the hot wings with our friends, very good. I had the Korean style tacos with pork. Just ok, mostly shredded cabbage, little meat but sauce was tasty....hubby had shrimp Po Boy. Good but dry...may want some sauce of some kind or even mayo. Stopped by for lunch today. We Had the grilled Brussels sprouts for a appetizer. I had the Korean Spicy Rice Bowl with chicken. My wife had the Dead Head burger (black bean burger) with homemade chips. The spicy rice bowl was very good. It was spicy but not too hot. The vegetables included in the bowl was carrot slices and zucchini. The fried egg on top was still runny and cooked perfect. There was also a very good portion of grilled chicken. The dead head burger was also very well made with avocado aioli, tomato, and lettuce. The buns were also toasted. We were both very pleased. We arrived at noon, it was packed. The waiting room was full. We asked to be seated at the bar. We immediately got seats at the bar. We were served and finished our meal before some of the people waiting got a table.
