We rented a suit here for the grooms party for my friends wedding, 10 men, $300 per suit. My first issue with them was when i called to give my measurements, my phone call was answered by a very rude man who told me I could not possibly be that shape and size and they needed to come in (I'm pretty normal 6'1 190 lbs). I live in Manhattan so it is not very easy to get to. After some back and forth and a very complex plan involving an longtrain and expensive uber ride, I went into the store to get measured. This was the only somewhat pleasant part of the experience. He threw a suit on and measured me, no big deal in and out in ten minutes. When i checked the measurements vs. what I had tried to provide over the phone the only difference was the inseam on the suit jacket which was a one inch off (mine over the phone was longer). The wedding day came and it was time for me to get the suit. I had a friend pick it up since I live in Manhattan and it is not easy to get to. He gave my friend trouble saying they don't really give the suits to wedding party members etc. After some back and forth he finally let my friend take the suit. At the rehearsal dinner the friends who had picked up the suits warned me how poorly they fit and that they had to go back to have them adjusted. The wedding morning I put on my custom suit to find that the sleeves were about five inches shorter than they should have been. The suit clearly hadn't been altered from it's last "custom fitting." The pants, aren't custom at all they were a no belt one size fits most pants. I spent the entire day with my hands in my pockets to avoid the embarrassingly short jacket sleeves showing. When the suit was returned I complained about the size of the suit. They offered to return my $50 deposit even though I was "late, and the wedding was weeks ago." I never signed a contract or anything saying when to return the suit and the suit was returned 8 days after the wedding. After dealing with this company I decided to see how much these "custom suits" were online. The Ike Behar Evening Suit we had rented were for sale on many websites (for purchase not rent) at $150-$300. Moral of the story, avoid this place at all costs. You can buy much nicer suits for $200 or $250 and spend another $50 to have them completely tailored to fit your body (and they will actually fit your body) and it's something you can keep for more than 8 days. For any competition of Viktor Talbots, if you are going to be in the business of custom suits please at least provide your customers with well fitting suits and/or good customer service and experience because this was overall horrible. I would imagine any good recommendations on this page are from family and or friends of the owner or employees.

I had the worst experience of my life at at East Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Dealership in Roslyn NY...literally the worst. I'm used to being treated with respect, courtesy, and dignity when I go to my Lexus dealership in Glen Cove. This place is exactly the opposite. My husband was looking at a used car there and had been made multiple promises about what they would provide. He brought me back the next day to have a look for myself. All of a sudden, everything that have been promised went up in smoke. My husband had been told the day before that they would put 4 new tires on the car. When we returned for the 2nd look the Used Car Manager said he would only provide 2 and that the gentleman who had promised the 4 wasn't there and he was overriding the original decision because 2 of the tires seemed fine. They were not fine, they were used. He and the manager went back-and-forth for quite a while, but he was adamant and refused to keep the commitment the dealership originally made. After listening to this for almost 30 minutes I quietly gave my opinion and told him that when a company promises something they need to stick by their word. He was rude, disrespectful and inconsiderate to me. He spoke back to me in a stern, forceful, dismissive manner even though l had spoken to him with total respect. In addition, when our salesman, a young man, (l'll be kind and only refer to him as R) took us for a test ride, he was clearly out of sorts and inept. He had told us it actually wasn't his workday and he had just come from the gym. He acted like he knew nothing about selling a car. We asked him questions as we were driving and all he did was grunt or mumble. There was one pivotal question re: a purge valve issue we asked him about that we had seen on Carfax and he said he had no clue what we were talking about. He didn't know what a purge valve was. We happen to ask that same question to the Used Car Manager and he said that he didn't know either, that he wasn't in the service dept. so we shouldn't expect an answer from him. He said we should ask the people at our Lexus dealership. Seriously??? Please note that as we later researched, the purge valve is a key component of the car's EVAP (Evaporative Emission Control) system. This is a really important fact and if it's on a Carfax review, the sales people should have known exactly what it means. And to add insult to injury, the General Manager was in his office listening to all of this going on and just sat quietly at his desk, did not intervene, did not walk out to address the problem... nothing, not a word. This is what this East Hills dealership calls management ? Not even close. Even if my husband had wanted that car more than anything in the world, he would never consider going back into that place. While I didn't buy anything on my inaugural trip to the store, I did see a lot of things I liked. I'll be back een if it is to go with friends and sit in the cozy dressing room. One a small note, it was hard to tell the shoppers from the employees, so I didn't know who to apporach for help and no one approached me before they watched me awkwardly pace in front of the dressing rooms trying to figure out if I just go in or have to let someone know.
