Snooty customer service. Offered very limited selections to try on despite being very open to any design/style, color, and even price. Budget was not a limiting factor yet what was offered for me to try was. Sales people seem nice but very reserved and expressionless. Never offered introductions upon entering. Despite all of this, I was easily granted an appt. when I needed one and I was the only one in the shop which has a lovely, super clean boutique feel. If only the staff were more welcoming and receptive from then get-go. Self-reflection is in order here. The minimal inventory I did see were classic, quality gowns that can be customized, but nothing truly unique about the style and materials. read more

Came here after two different recommendations.. On a whim me mom and grandma walked in after spending time at the mall shopping for dresses for mostly grandma to find for my wedding! The lady we met was very helpful and when i mentioned my friends mother who purchased her dress here she recalled her very well! I love when that happens it really shows they got to know their client and share in their special experience.. Lots of dresses all organized by color dont let the front few racks fool you they do have more in the back! These are the show stopper dresses where when you wear these dresses people cant help but to ooo and ahh you! I really enjoyed all the beautiful dresses i watched my grandma try on she is the cutest! The lady made sure she felt comfortable explained what would be taken in etc... Grandma looked beautiful she requested her arms be a little covered because she felt it is only age appropriate for her and she likes the color blue! Alterations are priced on what is needed. Not a cap like some other places! After my grandmas dress which really made her look like a princess i told my mom that dress she originally bought at Davids Bridal isnt "show stopper enough" i told her nanny just set the bar high and you are the mother of the bride and you need to get on that level. So my mom without hesitation Said she would try on dresses to see if she liked any of them. The first one she tried on was just magical. Goldeny with some lace undertones. A beautiful A line silhouette and sparkle! They have a beautiful selection i highly recommend checking it out. Mother of the bride/ groom dresses range from 300-1300. So both their dresses fell under 1000 each which is great because as important as that day is they need to shine and show it off too! read more

After going to several shops for a mother of the bride gown, I ended up (literally a few blocks from home) at Serafina. They carry a large selection of formal wear in a range of prices. Josephine was a great help-encouraging and patient-as I tried on as many gowns that I wanted. I left that day without purchasing a dress, but returned two months later to place my order. Their inventory is kept in pristine condition-not so in most shops that I went to. And, alterations are reasonable. Fyi, they carry undergarments, jewelry, handbags and shoes. Came here to buy gowns for the weddings of my 2 children and purchased them on same day.The owner's daughter rang me up, gave me a receipt and then told me how much to leave as a deposit.It was half of the full price for both gowns.I returned 4 months later to schedule a fitting for the 1st gown.A non-family salesgirl looked at my receipt and told me I was charged the wrong price and told the daughter who sold it to me.The daughter came over to tell me I now owe $325.I advised that was unfair and that it was her fault and 4 months later! She told me I'm asking to steal the dress,I had to know it was the wrong price,and more unprofessional comments.Never an apology for HER error.I refused to pay.The next day, her mom, Serafina called and said I should do the right thing and pay additional $325! We debated and after Serafina said she will have a "hard time doing a good alteration on my gowns",I was stuck and offered to pay half that, and did so. Next dress came in after that fiasco and it appeared the same daughter now also ordered the wrong size for that gown.It was a different size from the first.So, Serafina ordered matching (not the same) lace and did a good job altering the dress to fit, but it had to be re-styled, and was not the same stunning dress it was.I had no choice with the wedding a month away.Time to pay for those alterations.I was charged $300,told it was due to the excessive amount of work Serafina had do to make the wrong size dress they ordered fit me, and for the lace to do that! I reminded them that was NOT my fault, and that I was decent and paid for half of their earlier mistake! Serafina then told me I should have paid her everything, not half.There was more I wont bother with here.If all goes well they may be ok, but if they mess up, YOU WILL take responsibility, not them. And 2 for 2 they messed up. I also purchased 2 pairs of costly earrings and a pair of shoes from them, and still they were so unappreciative and mercenary.I will never go there again and have told everyone I could at both weddings, to run far away! read more

I cannot say enough about my experience in this store. It was PHENOMENAL and I HIGHLY recommend it. Over a one year period, I had been to many stores across Long Island in search of a dress for my son's wedding. with absolutely no luck. Feeling like there was nothing out in stores that I wanted or liked and with only five weeks to go I walked into Searafina's. Josephine and her staff really care about customers and are willing to go the extra mile to make sure you are 100% completely satisfied and look beautiful. She knew what looked good on me even when I had NO clue. She made sure that I felt like I looked perfect in the dress. Her patience and guidance went above and beyond. The wide range of dresses were beautiful, elegant and stylish. Talk about one stop shopping, I was able to get the total package undergarments, shoes and jewelry all with their expect help and assistance that looked perfect with the dress.
