Her stern demeanor made the experience uncomfortable, and I felt disrespected throughout the transaction. When we requested to speak with a supervisor, Brianna, she defended Roz rather than addressing our concerns. At one point, Roz even accused me of being dishonest. Frustrated, we decided to leave and stated, "we actually won't be needing your help." As we exited, someone sarcastically shouted, "have a nice day." This experience was disappointing, as it did not reflect the customer service standards I expect from Nordstrom.

After about 5 minutes a blonde Caucasian student WITH A BLACK BACKPACK asked to try something on, the store associate kindly said yes and showed her to the dressing room. Seconds later my gf asked the same associate who took one look at her, said "yes but you have to leave your backpack here". I witnessed two people who both had backpacks get treated very differently. My girlfriends race was judged by the associate, because she decided right then she wasn't allowed to go into the dressing room with her school back pack, which was right next to the register. The associates demeanor towards us was NOT friendly, as her demeanor to the Caucasian blonde hair college girl was kind and welcoming. There was and is NO DOUBT we were judged due to my gf's skin color. Owner/Manager pull the camera on 2/28/23 at 2:30pm and you will see how we were stopped and the white customers were free to take their bags into the dressing room. I also want to mention the staff had NOOOO idea where to even place the backpack (which had her laptop in it). They were asking each other. As if they don't do this often. If this is store policy you would assume they have a designated area for bags. Not only will be never support this store again, we will let our friends and family know of this horrible treatment. Keep your eye open on how they treat those who look like white college students versus the black or dark skin college students. Sad we have this happening right on the University strip.

But it was just as awesome as I remembered, with great prices! There were so many cute things on clearance with inclusive sizes for all. I'm especially compelled to write this review because one of the employees (I believe she said her name was Megan) was so helpful and kind. She casted such a good vibe as soon as we walked in. She was available to help as needed, and even came to the rescue to refold some pants that we accidentally knocked over with a smile on her face. I believe she was training a new employee and her attitude was so sweet toward everyone and it made for a great experience. We will be back!

Did find my favorite brand of micellar water however and bought them out. Ladies clothing section may have been the smallest section in the store. Plus size , and jeans were aplenty and cute. No jewelry to speak of. Housewares were good as far as decor and tables, etc. The other housewares though- like rugs and towels. They were unpleasant just to touch! The store also has this awful chemical dank smell. I went to try on a shirt in the dressing room ( which looks like a place for hiding hostages) and asked if they had a restroom I could use. She said "no bathrooms here" with bewildering enthusiasm. Guess it was time to go. Oh, and guess what!!!! They are hiring! I wouldn't apply though. Every employee looks like they want to kill themselves. Maybe they are hiring in preparation for that??
