They need to get it together before I can give them five stars. My experience was less than stellar. Excuses me for being a smarty but I thought all business owners know Friday is one of the days with most traffic. With a place like this, you betcha Friday is their hot day! People are getting things done to get ready for the weekend. With that being said, I waited 25 minutes for a brows threading that took 5 mins. I don't think the wait justified the service. I wouldn't be mad if they handle their business better. There were two ladies working when I got there. They were both working on one customer and chit chatting FOREVER!!!! A girl before me left because she didn't want to wait anymore. There were four people waiting to be serviced but only one working esthetician. The other girl just stood around, probably training? Both of them were chit chatting for the longest! No urgency at all!!! It was during lunch hour and people gotta go back to work! Keep your talk to a minimum. After a long wait, a girl came out looking overwhelmed of the crowded waiting room. As soon as I sat down on that chair, she picked up her phone to call somebody but they didn't answer. She starts on my brows but shes rough with it. She was definitely taking her frustration out on my brows. Two minutes later, the other esthetician got a phone call on her cell and answered it while working on a customer. That is terrible customer service. This place deserves to be listed on Yelp, especially considering I looked for it on Yelp prior to my first visit and there weren't any reviews to brace me on what to expect when I went to them to have my eyebrows threaded. Shahnaz opened earlier this year and I'm not sure how they promote themselves; I think they rely a lot on word of mouth. It's an Indian run salon where they offer the basic hair services: wash, cut, style, deep condition, etc. They also offer hair removal: waxing and threading. I only come here to get my brows and up lip threaded, and they've given up trying to convince to get a facial :P It's very quick and inexpensive: $10 = brows threaded + upper lip threaded + a $4 tip. Yes. That's all. If you're cheap, err frugal, like I am sometimes, $7 will work. So, if you live or work in the area, this place is the most cost effective place I've encountered for these services. It's located on the Northeast corner of MacArthur and 635, behind the Pearle Vision. So there you have it. A review of this location. No bracing needed. read more

I had been going to the same place for years (in Austin) and was looking for a good place to go in the Dallas area. I've had bad experiences with threading so I didn't want to just go anywhere. Shahnaz was GREAT and I'll definitely be back. I've been twice now and both times I've been able to walk right in (granted, I usually go in the middle of the day). They are friendly and do a great job. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for years and I have to say yesterday was probably the least painful experience I've had. I *think* her name was Sylvia but I don't remember for sure. Both times I've been though they've done a great job - they're fast, not painful, make them look great - and best of all - it only costs $4! Seriously, how can you beat $4 eyebrow threading service?!? They prefer cash for services less than $10 if you can. read more

I've been coming to this salon off and on for a few years now for eyebrow threading. Until recently, I had no complaints and was reasonably satisfied. I've always noticed that several staff members are always on the phone while working on clients. But since I hadn't had any trouble, I would ignore the bad customer service. I went to get my eyebrows threaded a few weeks ago and as usual, the lady who was assigned to do them was on the phone. I was trying to explain how I wanted my eyebrows done, but she waved me off like she understood and continued her phone conversation. When she "finished", it looked like nothing had changed, rather looking worse. So she said she would fix it and continued to stay on her phone call. The second time she "finished" the eyebrow, she had not only made it way too thin, she had completely mishaped my eyebrow and messed up the natural arch. As I proceeded to freak out, she finally got off her phone call and said she'd try to fix the other eyebrow to match. There was no way I was about to let her touch my other eyebrow so I said I needed to leave. I went to the front desk to complain and she proceeded to charge me $5. Luckily a manager was there and stopped the charge and listened to my concern. To little too late. Needless to say, I will NEVER return to this salon and I've already started warning other people to stay away. I've had to literally draw in the missing patches of my eyebrow for the past 5 weeks and they are still not properly grown back. So freaking disappointed. read more

Do not. I repeat. Do not get waxing done here. They rush the whole process in order to get people in and out (so they can make the most money). I didn't think too much at first bc I have the benefit of the doubt. It was the worst experience I've ever had getting a wax. My whole body has broke out and I have never experienced this ever when getting waxed. Sonia claims she is the best but in reality she is the worst. I will never go here again and I hope no one ever has to experience what I went through. I cannot believe these people are actually providing services with these results. Horrible. I used to go there every month, but a rude lady messed up my eyebrows. She was soo stubburn, rude, and also very arrogant about it. She denied to accept that she messed up and kept telling rudly that she knew how to do her job. It took months to make my eyebrows look even and nice. Be careful, not everyone is nice there. To be honest I've come here for a while now because I thought it the pricing was cheaper compared to a lot of other places. The employees are really nice, however, I find it important to accept your mistake if you made one. A staff member accidentally threaded a part of my eyebrow that was not supposed to be touched & she did not accept her mistake. Instead, she blamed me and said that my eyebrows already looked like it had a piece of it taken off. I was furious not only because my eyebrows are thin to begin with, but it takes a while for it to grow back. The staff didn't really accommodate me much, rather told me to fill in my brows next time so that they know where to thread. Rule of thumb: if you don't know how to thread brows without it filled in/outlined for you, then you shouldn't be touching your customers. read more
