Well, I booked my mom for Tulasara facial with Bahar last week, it was great as my mom said. She had wonderful and enjoyable time with her and after one week she can still see the result on her face skin. And also she said Bahar was so sociable and kind and took care of her. I went in for a pedicure, this is not my usual location but I was very pleased with the covid protocols, the service and results! I had a great relaxing pedicure and felt completely safe there. I've been getting my nails done at Metrotown Eccotique for as long as I can remember but they're solidly booked for ages, so I visited the Coquitlam location and was extremely impressed with their covid protocols and esthetician! I was the only client there at 11am and saw one other person, at the salon, when I left at 12:30. Coquitlam Centre was completely dead! Bahareh is a ***godsend angel of pampering*** She gave me a free paraffin wax *and* let me claim my BOGO from my birthday, on top of the already stellar pedicure. I LOVE HER. If you're judging me for venturing out during a pandemic, that's okay. That is where you're at, right now. Been there. I am devasted to have had such a recent awful experience. I have been a steady customer who was over the moon about this place. Everyone is kind and pleasant, they take good care of their customers. So I started to buy all of my make up and hair care products from them. But recently I had two difficult times when it came to dying my hair. Basically I want colour on my roots, whether the stylist refers to them as highlights or streaks I don't care. I came in and wanted me roots done. I told the stylist, I was really unhappy that last time I left with a perfect defined line of 1inch roots. It was a prefect stripe. It bothered me so much and looked awful to leave a salon looking like you hadn't been to a salon in months. So this next time I told her I wanted my roots done, the same colour. See the picture for the results, and ontop of that she charged me $300. Less defined stripe than before but still a stripe of a completely different colour down the Center of my head!??!? It was so embarrassing to go to work the next day, EVER1 is telling me I should get the stylist to fix it. But considering I keep getting told highlights 'highlights don't go to the roots' even by the manager, I don't trust them anymore. I don't care f this salon doesn't do highlights or put hair dye one the roots. WHO wants to look like this? Does this look natural to anybody? Pinterest friendly? Nope. I'd never experienced salon/spa services past a haircut before I went to Eccotique for a mani/pedi to treat myself. When I first arrived I didn't know what to expect but everyone was incredibly friendly, which made it all easier and less intimidating for me and my first time. I was whisked away into the back waiting room where the vibe is completely different and completely zen. I was offered some refreshing herbal tea while I waited, listening to the most relaxing music. Shortly after I had my very first mani/pedi, paraffin wax and all. Natalie and Nicole were great and took fantastic care of me. It was one of the most relaxing and refreshing experiences of my life. I don't even live in Coquitlam but I will be back! When I left I forgot that there was a store out front but the girls there could see that I was relaxed and 'zen'. All in all I had a fantastic experience and have already booked my next appointment(they suggested an "exfoliage", I'm excited!!). read more

The sign on the door says "walk-ins welcome". I haven't found a local hairstylist yet and I'm usually quite apprehensive to try someone new but today, I'm feeling lucky. I ask the woman at the front if there's an opening for today to get my hair cut and colored. She says no, I have to make an appointment. I set one up and then wait 2 days to go back. Once I returned 2 days later, I discovered the appointment was just a "consultation" so we're only supposed to discuss what I want......huh? What the heck is the point in that?! The next date that works for both the stylist and I is 10 days later so I make an appointment, grumbling that I have to continue with ugly hair till then. FINALLY- hair styling time. The stylist seemed clueless as to what she was doing, called over another person to help her numerous times, spent close to FOUR HOURS doing my hair and all I wanted was an all-over color. (no cut even! omg!) She flipped my hair around so carelessly as she coloured it that huge splatters of dark hair dye hit the mirror,my face, my pants and my purse while i sat there. I was SO done by the time she had finished, I didn't have the time or the patience to mention the color didn't end up at all how I'd asked. FAST FORWARD: today. I thought I'd give the salon another chance but I obviously wanted to try another stylist. I certainly didn't want a repeat of last time. Funny enough, here's how the conversation went: "hi. I'm wondering if I could make an appointment with a master stylist?" "master stylist? Ummm we're all good here." "yes, but I'm needing a pretty difficult hair cut and i'd like to feel confident it will be done right." "yes, we're all trained every month so we're all really good. Plus we don't have a master stylist in today." ....well that doesn't exactly explain how my hair was so messed up last time, does it? ....I give up. Meh. Move on.... ;) read more

Got a manicure here. They didn't trim my cuticles, exfoliate, left nail polish around the nail bed, and it lasted less than a half an hour. I then waited for a girlfriend to get a hair cut. No less than 8 employees stood behind the desk taking selfies and making boomerang videos loudly, laughing and drinking iced caps. Extremely unprofessional, not At all peaceful. I got a mani-pedi here. I booked a basic one, and the manicurist thought I booked the full mani-pedi, which is more expensive. Glad I brought it up at the beginning, otherwise I would have paid more than I signed up for. The mani-pedi was okay. When I was all done, they sat me down in a chair asked if they could put some sort of escents on my neck and lip gloss on me. I thought that was a bit of an odd way to try to upsell. Unfortunately, not a great hair cut at all. I left with very uneven layers of the hair. One side of my head was half a Bob and the other side was longer but very uneven layers. Having friends and another hair stylist be speechless for how my hair looked was shocking. read more

I love this Eccotique location. I have been here three times now and have no complaints. I appreciate that the spa has a large mani/pedicure room (great for a girls spa day!) and that they have a large waiting area (unlike some other spas I have been too). I feel Eccotique is the perfect form of fit and function to treat yourself on a regular basis. Having been to other 'higher end' spas - you pay for the ambiance - which hey, I get it, sometimes it's fun however it's not sustainable for most long term. I appreciate that my money goes into quality services for reasonable prices instead of just fancy walls. Plus, I LOVE the 'spa-me-up' bundle! Where else can you create your own bundle (3+ services) to receive 15% off everything that day!? This is excellent and the reason I will continue to be a regular. Natalie is amazing - professional, friendly and very helpful with all my questions. To date I have tried a handful of services and will continue to explore more. And if you haven't looked into their rewards program - you are losing out. It's wicked. Finally, I referred a friend to receive a facial - she chose the Tulasara Facial and loved it. This was a better experience than the Pitt Meadows location. Had pedicures and manicures with a friend . One technician was too chatty and the other I could not understand. I prefer just to relax during spa treatments. The spa was ok inside. I felt judged regarding my lack of moisturizing at home and then was immediately tried to be upsold,to a paradfin treatment. Just a note the sample nail colours were chipped and crappy looking which was not really at the level it should be. The biggest criticism is the same as the other location - having a pedicure should be relaxing and it is impossible to relax while sitting on a hard non reclining bench shoved up next to another person. And for this reason I will not return to eecotique. I usually go to a cheaper spa with reclining heated massage chairs- the minimum standard for a pedicure as far as I'm concerned . This place has really misssed the mark on that one detail and it's a deal breaker. read more

This was my first time coming to this location, I usually go to the Langley location but it was all booked up so decided to check out the Coquitlam location. It's a nice location but I did not have a good experience. First of all, as I was sitting in the waiting area, I could hear the music from the salon next door much louder than the actual spa music, so I didn't really feel relaxed. I went in for the Radiant Resurfacing facial (this is probably the 6th time I've got this) and the esthetician I got must of been new because out of all the times I've had this facial, this was my least favourite. This facial is not cheap, it's about $100 and if I'm paying this much, the experience should at least be worth $100. The whole process of the facial was extremely slow (compared to all the other ones I've had previously). Every time as she was grabbing something else from the counter, she seemed to have took her time and I was left laying there waiting for longer than usual. Also, when you're going for a facial, I expect the esthetician to be an expert on skin, at least while they're analyzing my skin. All she told me was I need to drink more water because my skin is dehydrated, whereas all the other times I've had this facial, the estheticians analyzed my skin completely and recommended me different tips on how to keep my skin healthy. The way she massaged me was not good either. There was no pressure at all, it felt like she was just rubbing my body and I'm usually complaining that the pressure of the massage was too hard when I get massages. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, I've had better. I like Aveda products, but the experience was definitely not worth $100. I don't think I'll be going back to Eccotique for facials again because the results aren't really worth it unless you're booked in with an experienced esthetician who's been there for a while. read more

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Eccotique Spa. This was my first and will be my only experience at this Spa. I went in for the basic pedicure, keyword: basic. I've enjoyed many pedicures at various salons and felt this experience was extremely overpriced for what was involved. The esthetician barely used the paddle and did not scrub or even massage my legs! The experience was not relaxing at all. The esthetician was friendly, however became a little too comfortable explaining how she would never purchase products from the salon because of the markup. When the treatment was finished, my esthetician brought me to the front till where the receptionist overtly displayed my tip to the girls standing around the till. I found the employees to have a "holier than thou" attitude. I would never recommend this treatment, let alone spa to anyone. For $50 I've enjoyed a manicure and a pedicure where the esthetician did it all, with a leg scrub and massage (the best part of any pedicure)! read more

I used to love going to Eccotique in Coquitlam for massages, manicure and pedicure and hair cuts. Unfortunately my favourite massage therapist is not there anymore and I think the service is falling apart. I had an awful massage few months ago, so I stopped having massages there. My hair stylist doesn't work there anymore, so I found another place to have my hair done. The only thing left was manicure and pedicure, but then, again they drop the ball. I booked online gel manicure and told then i had gel on, so they had to tajke it off before I have manicure. i was running few minutes late for my appointment and I called them to let them know I was on my way. I got there 10 minutes late. When the manicure lady saw that I had nail polish on she said that she would not be able to do my nail that day. I'm very frustrated. She took the nail polish off and I walk away. I'm not coming back to eccotique and I'll warn my friends to not go there as well. Very upseting!!! read more

I am long time client of Eccotique Spa & Salon, specifically the Metrotown East location. I had been going there since 2014. In the month of September 2020 I cancelled a few appointments at the Coquitlam location due to being sick, having an infant, etc. These appointments were cancelled well in advance of the day. I had booked an appointment for October 13, 2020 to get my nails done at the Eccotique Spa & Salon in Coquitlam. I had not received a confirmation e-mail confirming my appointment 2 days prior to the appointment. My online account had also been disabled for some unknown reason. The Eccotique Spa & Salon in Coquitlam Centre never answers their phone nor returns voice messages. I had left a voice message on October 7 asking why my online account was disabled. Not one person even a manger returned my call. When I called the 2 days prior to my appointment no one Eccotique Spa & Salon in Coquitlam answered the phone, as usual. So I called the Metrotown East location and they confirmed my account was disabled due to to many cancellations. She went on to say that their estheticians and hair stylists time was valuable. I said so because I was sick I'm not allowed to cancel. Let me also say that no where does it say that you need to cancel this many days in advance especially with the current COVID-19 pandemic. When I asked if my hair appointment in December was still booked the receptionist said yes! I'm glad to see that this is how a long time client gets treated. As a result I will be taking my business somewhere else. read more

I went to eccotique for laser treatments starting in August 2012. Spent 1.5 years with them and barely got the expected results. First I used to go to the Coquitlam branch and then they moved their machine and I had to travel till metrotown to get laser treatments because I had prepaid. Even though the laser technician was a sweet girl at metrotown the machine was leaving burn marks and blisters on my skin so for the next treatment I asked her to make it less intense and there was no difference in hair growth. I ended up spending over $2500 or more dollars basically each visit was $500 and because it was so far away I had several delays in my appointment schedule. Later on I just googled places near my house and found body bar. They gave me a very reasonable package for five treatments (under $2000) for more body parts than eccotique and I am spending less money. But it wasn't about saving money but the laser machine has to match your skin which eccotique never took into consideration for me and honestly told me that this machine is not appropriate for your South Indian skin tone and hair. The service was bad, they used clippers without them being sanitized and the girl never wore gloves and here she was touching my private parts ...... Absolutely not happy. I want to sue this company eccotique for wasting my money, time and pain caused by their ignorance. read more

WoW! This salon writes one label on the shelf and charges another. When I asked about the price, the receptionist was completely rude and insulted myself and my party. Yesterday I went to Eccotique at Coquitlam center to get a facial . $100, worth every penny. The customer service was great. I wad offered comforting tea. wonderful girls . The facial was fantastic and so relaxing. The bed was warm and the room was dark and calming. The woman was knowledgeable and very experienced in her work. Her massages throughout were wonderful- she even gave me a arms and hand massage, as well as a little foot massage . All the products smelled wonderful and felt great on my skin. I have been to this location a number of times and have a very enjoyable experience every time! The last time I had the "enbrightenment" facial and I highly recommend it. My skin literally glowed when it was done and felt great for days after. My esthetician was very knowlegable about what she was doing and answered all my questions but when I just relaxed she quietly went about the service so I could really enjoy it. Every time I go in they get to me right away, offer me their yummy lemon and cucumber water (odd combo but now that's how I drink my water at home!) and serve me with a smile on their face. Oh, I did buy a few products but wondered why they don't use "ecco" friendly bags as their name IS Eccotique, after all? Anyway, great spa, great gals, I'll be back! read more

Wow... Wish I would have read these reviews before going. I was and still am very disappointed with how my hair turned out. I'm not the type of person to write/give bad reviews but my hair was atrocious. The salon is very nice and filled with nice workers but I would recommend going else where. My hair took 3x the amount of time to do a quick trim and style. The girl cutting my hair was so bad,had no skills and inadequate hair tools. I am never going back and will tell everyone that this place can't cut or style for sh*t. WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. -100/100000 terrible. read more

I've booked in with Arielle for the West Coast Wax. ALL hair is to removed down there. They claim "not a hair left standing" she is not good at this as I had hair with 6 weeks of growth left in random places. And it wasn't like she missed it by accident it was very obvious. I want to start off by saying the technician and staff were very sweet and friendly people. That said, I had the worst and most expensive "manicure/pedicure" of my life. First, taking off my shellac was $20, which I was told over the phone. Had it been an amazing job, I did not mind to pay. My manicure was mediocre at best, with a blob of colour on my thumb which I noticed when I got home. The rest of my nails either had polish on my cuticle or were missing polish from the sides. The worst was the pedicure, I paid nearly $50 and all it was, was a polish change. She did not touch my dry skin and my 'massage' was basically a once over with lotion. I am so disappointed , my feet look exactly the same as when I got there. None of my nails were buffed so they snag on my socks and on anything my hands touch! I decided to go here because I received a coupon that said if I spend over 60 dollars I could get something like 30% off. So I decided to go and got a young girl who I felt like she did an okay job, I told her to it with not so hard pressure but I have fibro so the next day I was super sore. I kind of wish she made me feel a bit more relaxed by conversating with me more but otherwise it was okay. The reason I only gave it two stars is because I don't think the beds were cleaned all that thoroughly or not cleaned at all. I found hairs from I guess the previous client and the music on or the cd player wasn't working so I could hear people talking and babies crying. It wasn't the most relaxing experience. I thought for the regular pricings here I would have a nice spa experience because it isn't cheap. I thought it was cool how upfront they had large jars of different loose leave teas by aveda I think but they were like something like $24 or $35, kind of expensive for tea. read more
