Shake a salad is very clean and has great staff. We went in today, my friend and I, and had lunch there and we had wraps and they were delicious. The employees greeted us with smiles and made us feel welcome as we walked in the door. Our order was taken, and everything was extremely delicious. The service was impeccable. The food was very good and the ambience was very nice with all the uplifting sayings on the walls. It kind of match their employees who were very joyful and enjoyed their job. There are meat items you can order there are vegetarian items and there's also vegan options. Plenty of parking handicap, friendly, and child friendly. But the only thing that really kind of bothered me was the price. The wrap was a normal size wrap, but it was extremely expensive with the wrap and a bottle of sweet iced tea ran $22 plus I asked you for a tip so it was quite expensive lunch. read more

We ordered two salad - a Buffalo chicken and a regular entree shake-a-salad with garbanzo beans added. There were no prices listed on the menu that was hanging on the wall. Had we know the prices of salads were so high, we would have went next door. The cashier, a polite young man, took our order, which totaled to just over $32, which is much more than similar-priced salads at other eateries. The place had no other customers, but had about s dozen self-order screens. The recommended minimum tip amount was 15% - $4.50. Since we were in and out in a few minutes, we were guilted into leaving $3. Now for a review of the salads. The Buffalo chicken in the salad was bland. You couldn't tell that you were eating Buffalo chicken. It also had too much shredded carrot on it. A salad from next door, or Publix or zaxsby's is much more filing and lower priced. The plain salad with added garbanzo beans came with no garbanzo beans (tipping in advance for bad service is frustrating!) Thankfully, I had a can of Goya garbanzo beans that I added myself, as you can see in the photo. In the photo, you can also see how the lettuce was cut.. or actually, NOT cut. Since moving to the Newport Richey area I have been on the hunt for a healthy fast option...and thank goodness I have found it at Shake-a-Salad. The veggies for the salads are super fresh and the dressings are so good!! I plan to try each signature salad before I get crazy and start building my own. . The staff is super friendly and even offered to help with my order the first time I stopped in. The atmosphere is clean and bright I have also dined in. Great service, outstanding quality. I stopped here on my way to the airport last winter and my only problem with Shake A Salad is that I haven't been able to find anything as good near where I live. I ordered a custom salad. The ingredients were fresh and top quality. The service was very friendly and efficient. You can see from the photo that the salad was made with care. New Port Richey has been in need of a healthy food spot like this! Friendly & accommodating owners/staff!! Starting with a review of the menu-- the menu has many options from salads and wraps to rice bowls. There are pre-built options to choose from and also the option to customize a build-your-own meal. If you select one of their offered menu items you can swap out dressing choices or even add/subtract addition toppings. Atmosphere- CLEAN!! And refreshing. There are about 5-6 tables inside and a couple spots outside as well. During busy times, you may have to wait for a spot to open up. They've only been a couple of days and when I went, every table was full except one! So I am happy they have a good turn out from the community. I tried both a salad and wrap and both were great and decent portions. The lettuce was crisp and fresh! The southern BBQ salad pairs perfectly with the creamy cilantro dressing!! Very yummy! I usually get my food to go and just eat just 1/2 and take home the rest for another meal and it was hard to stop from finishing the whole bowl. Visited this place a few times. I was pleasantly surprised. The food is delicious. They have a variety of flavors, from chicken to shrimp to veggies. Every portion is substantial. They can make rice bowls, with lettuce, beans, chickpeas, you name it, they can probably add it. The food is always fresh. That makes it extra tasty. I recommend the chicken bowl and the veggie bowl. read more

We've been waiting for this place to open. We were a little disappointed. I paid 3.50 for the smallest amount of chicken and that's to add to my salad which is almost already 15 bucks. If you don't have issues spending 40 bucks for 2 and getting super small portion and the chicken was really dry with no moisture at all. Although the salad was alright. I wouldn't pay 18 bucks for a salad when I can go to chipotle, so fresh and cava and get way more portions of food. The service was great! Nothing wrong there I just wish the prices would be worth paying for. read more
