Very good food with an enormous amount of options! We started out with the spring rolls & the Thai dumplings. Both were delicious. Hubs ordered the Tom Yum Chicken Soup which was a hot and spicy (but not TOO spicy) broth with plenty of mushrooms , onions, chicken & a hint of lime. For entrees we had the regular chicken Pad Thai, the volcano shrimp, and also the special which was Pad Thai topped with crispy fried chicken pieces. All were excellent but I'd go back tomorrow tomorrow for the Crispy Chicken Pad Thai Special. In summary, the service was good, the atmosphere was cute, the portions were generous, & the food was delicious. Pricing was also appropriate. And it was nice that we were able to choose our spice level from mild to traditional spicy Thai. What more can you ask for? read more

Love this one place service is always pleasant. I am always getting the red curry dish it comes out perfect.

The food is delicious and I enjoy it every time I visit them. It's a very busy eatery around lunch time and it seems like the ladies who work there are so use to it because the service they provide to does not change. I believe they are more attentive. I can really talk about the ambiance of the place because I have not been there during dinner but I'm sure it's quiet and initiate if that's what you are looking for. I really love this place. This was our first time here, there were three of us. They are not too hip on substitutions, and they don't particularly care if you don't like that, they don't like to make substitutions. The substitution I was asking for was simple. I don't like rice, so I wanted noodles instead, but they wouldn't do that so I had to buy the noodles. I ordered the Amazing Chicken Curry and it was good, but the temperature of the food was cool, not even warm. I'm a firm believer in giving places a second try so I would try this place again but it won't be for a while. read more

Love this little gem just outside of downtown NPR. Extensive menu with some traditional Thai dishes not typically seen. I am not usually one to order Pad Thai but other Yelpers raved and I was feeling like noodles, so I gave it a try. It was very good and there was enough to share or have at least a second meal. The last time we were there was in 2022 with our friend and her teenage granddaughter who grew up in Thailand. Her granddaughter said it was the most authentic Thai food she had eaten in the US. We went back yesterday with two other friends for dinner at 4:00PM. We all had Pad Thai. The person who greeted us said she was there by herself; the restaurant was empty except for us and remained so while we were there for about an hour and a half. The food was very dry and appeared to be reheated. We also had chicken satay which was very dry and crumbly. Definitely not what we remembered from our previous visit. The food was definitely not made fresh! The Pad Thai was gummy and sticky. For the price we paid ( not cheap ) it was not worth eating! Unfortunately we will not be eating there again. We used to go there very often and always wonderful. But this time the one of the server was awful! She was cranky and very rude. That was lunch time and only one group of people were there, not so busy. After moving from Manhattan, NY we were having trouble finding a good place for Thai Food, and then we found this Shangri la right next to our house. SCORE! There's something for everyone, and my favorite is the Thai Spring Rolls! We always start with a plate or two for the table, and when it gets down to the last one, we can almost hear that spaghetti Western gunfight music playing in our heads as we eyeball each other and that last Spring roll very intently. After that, I love Thai Ice Tea and have never passed it up. The menu is great for Meat lovers and vegetarians alike. Their vegetarian is so good that I sometimes skip meat just to savor those nice pan-fried pieces of tofu and those just tender but still crisp tasty veggies that accompany it withing its delicious sauces and juices. My wife and I have been frequent customers and recommended Thai Bistro 5414 Main Street, New Port Richey, Florida to family and friends. After what happened yesterday (8/19/22) we won't be coming back. Thai Bistro has glass on top of their tables which must not be tempered glass because a short drop of my wife's water glass broke the glass directly below where the water glass hit but didn't shatter the sheet of glass. The owners of the restaurant should have been concerned over the customer being injured or this happening to other customers but instead insisted we pay for the broken glass and claimed they called a glass place after 5pm on a Friday and presented us with a $100 bill for the replacement glass while eating our dinner. We paid both the dinner and glass replacement bills but are angered by Thai Bistro and the way they handled this accident. The owners of Thai Bistro need to evaluate this incident and their decision to blame a regular customer for their negligence. Additionally, Thai Bistro needs to replace all of their glass table tops with tempered glass to prevent this from reoccurring resulting in a customer or employee getting injured. Angry customer! I have found my new favorite Thai restaurant!! This place exceeded my expectations and that is a tough thing to do. I ordered through Uber eats and had the orange chicken which was AMAZING, fried pieces to perfection, ample sauce on the side as to not make the chicken soggy, the Thai pepper basil with chicken, is my go to, what I always order and I am SO picky, this was perfection. Thai Bistro has AMAZING customer service. Recently i ordered delivery through their website which is a third party deal, fulfilled by DoorDash. My order never came, doordash app said for over 2hrs driver was still on the way to the restaurant. so i finally called and Thai bistro said driver picked it up over an hour ago. So i called door dash they refused to refund me or even give me a credit. So I called back thai bistro asking if anyting they can do because it was a pretty big/expensive order. Thai Bistro was so nice and offered to help. They called their third party service and explained what happened and called me back 3 minutes later aaand I GOT MY REFUND!!! This is a family owned and run business that thought and care is put into every dish. My girlfriend and I have made this one of our usual spots we love it so much.
