After several quotes, I found Robs to be the best after discussing length of service (4pm-10pm) and getting a complete price. All interaction prior to the party was via email which was efficient, prompt and clear. Between responding to me VERY quickly and having a professional website, my fiancé and I decided to hire him for our wedding. Rob recently bartended my wedding at the Old Polo Estate down in Indio and did a fantastic job. We had 115 guest wedding and hired him with an additional bartender, and also were able to hire a couple additional servers through him to help out at our reception with various tasks. We hired Rob for our wedding. He was great - one of our favorite vendors. He was highly responsive and flexible and easy going. We were having 200 people, so we knew that cocktail hour was going to be a shit show, but we expected to need very few bar staff for the rest of the evening since we were putting wine and vodka on tables. Most of the other services we contacted said we needed at least three staff for the entire night because they needed a minimum number of hours. We talked to Rob and he said that he and another bartender could handle our event, with prepoured drinks during the cocktail hour. Of course, at the actual wedding, the ceremony was faster than expected, so they (Rob and his son) ended up with a crush of people before they had prepoured enough drinks, but we heard nothing but compliments about the bartenders the entire night. They made our signature drinks well (maple old fashioneds, drinks with homemade infusions). Rob was also incredibly patient in the leadup to the event - our venue was driving us crazy and at least 4 times flip flopped on whether or not we could bring our own staff. Rob was totally calm about it the entire time. He was also totally responsive - answered questions quickly, etc. Unlike other vendors that sometimes made us sweat about if they were going to remember to show up, we had no question about Rob. If you need a bartender, don't hesitate. Rates are extremely reasonable too - we tipped on top even though our contract included the tip. read more
