I…read morewent online to "research" the company - Portrait Innovations - and found HORROR stories about the business. The one thing I did not find was a SINGLE review on the store in my city. I am now going to review this business on all the sites I can find so that other people will not have the same issue I did. That being said I want to start off by saying - I do not have any complaints about this business. Quite the opposite actually. They sent out coupons for a picture package that is 44 pictures for $16.99 and then they gave you a free 8x10 canvas (it's a picture on an artist canvas like a painting). Also they included 5 5x7 greeting cards. I got this package and also got a one pose package of another photo that was $24.95. I had only planned on the first package but was very impressed by the non pushy sales pitch. He offered all the packages they had but was more than happy to just let me walk out with the special I wanted. When we arrived, the place was empty - which turned out to be doubly nice because along with a photographer another employee stepped in to play with my daughter and get her to smile and look her best in the photos. We did a clothing change so we'd have 2 outfits to choose from, and we still were in and out in less than an hour! That is a first for anytime I've had pictures taken! Especially with a 2 year old! An added bonus is that they print your pictures on site so you can pick your pictures up after 20 minutes! I couldn't believe that part really! I was used to waiting 2 weeks to get my photos back! They also gave me an online account that had all the photos we had saved as favorites (I think there are 34) that I was able to share on Facebook for friends and family to see. The pictures turned out AMAZING! And I think we did very well considering I spent less than $50! If anyone has gone online and read some of the horrendous things that have gone on in some of the stores, I just want to tell you to check for your specific town and don't be afraid to try them out because in some cases, they are wonderful.

The photographer showed up late to the appointment, so by the time she was ready, my baby had already had enough. (the guy photographer had been there over half an hour not doing anything, but for some reason the lady is the one that had my appointment and I had to wait for her to get back from lunch - late). The assistant did a good job trying to get baby to smile and pose - she's the one who was answering phones & stuff. The photographer wasn't very friendly or acted like she cared at all. DIdn't get a lot of pictures, but enough that I wanted to get the cd - I always get the cds because that way I have them all and I can do with them what I want. Luckily I checked my envelope before I left - photographer forgot to include my cd, so I almost didn't get it. When I went to use the cd, only small images came up - barely bigger than thumbnails! When I called the studio, figuring it was a mistake, they said no - that's what you get with the cd - they still own the copyrights!!! I paid over a $100 for the cd and 3 poses......what's the point of the cd then and what exactly am I shelling out that kind of money for??? There's nowhere to email the company or anything - you can call corporate (I did) who is completely not interested in anything you have to say - just a meaningless apology and a big brush off. I'm told the cd is so you can bring it into the studio for reprints. You can't go online to do it - you have to make a special trip back to the studio and have them print out their low-quality prints for you if you want more. I would've ordered differently had I known the cd would be worthless!! That really needs to be clear to the customer when advertising/ordering, because obviously that wasn't told to me. Also didn't like that the people waiting after us had nothing better to do than stare at our session, since where they take the pictures is a big open area in front of the couches. So someone else's kids running around and looking in was not at all helpful when we were trying to do our pictures. Bottom Line: NEVER AGAIN.
