Completely unprofessional. DJ kept drinking all night long; totally wasted. Even went to the…read morewedding party claiming that the open bar refused to serve him more beer. He kept walking around socializing with the wedding party rather than staying behind the DJ booth and taking care of the music. Guy kept lowering the music and making remarks that turned people off. Had to turn off computer and restart - once again breaking off the vibe. Played one good song that filled the dance floor, then played a terrible song that drove everyone away. Never faded between songs. Even after playing one song, he kept playing the next track on the same record - realized halfway through the song and stopped the track for dead silence. Terrible!!!

The DJ that night spent way more time smoking outside and eating our buffet than responding to requests. The music that he did play was not remotely close to the genre we expected. Several people requested particular songs throughout the evening, however these requests were not fulfilled. I would not, under any circumstances, recommend this business to others.

The lady said she will be at my wedding as the photographer. She did not show up. The guy (DJ) took my pictures. Not good quality. I sent him all the pictures I wanted and with everyone's name so all he had to do is call out the names. His phone was dead. I had to do it all. I was stressed. He also was doing the recording of our wedding. Really not him, he just set the recorder in one spot and the recorder did the horrible job. The sound on the recording cuts out every 7-10 seconds. It looks like it was recorded in the 80's. They missed the dollar dance, my husband singing his famous hound dog. The camera was sitting in a spot at the reception where people didn't realize the recorder was on and people blocked the view of the dance floor. When it came to the song for father daughter dance I had to find it on my phone for them to play, which they restarted the song twice till they got their shit figured out. When I asked how long it would take for the pictures, he said give me a week. Okay. I did. No contact from them, so I asked again. It took about 2-3 weeks after I gave the week. Then for the awful video I had to bother them for 2-3 weeks till they got it to me. I still have a free photo shoot from them and pictures they need to print for me but I am not even going to bother with them, it's that bad. I feel they owe me 500 back for NOT taking the photo shoot. I seriously don't recommend this company. One of my favorite days of my life have awful pictures that are plain and simple. Nothing fun.

We recently hired Galaxie Productions to DJ at my son's wedding 8/11/12. And the experience was…read moreabsolutely terrible. First of all we found this company at a wedding event at the Sioux City convention center and saw several albums with pictures of events they have done. Our mistake was believing the owner of the company, my son sent him several emails with the songs he wanted played and In the contract we also said we anted a cordless mike and had 2 DVDs that we wanted played as the wedding reception was beginning as well as the father/daughter dance. The DJ did not show up at the venue at the stated time and was 2.5 hours late and not dressed appropriately. The lights were not working and there was no video capability, no cordless microphone, and to our amazement very few of the songs on the list that was sent. While the wedding party stayed at the bar waiting for the DJ to show up I made the announcement that he was running late and made arrangements to set up a home stereo system and n iPad to play the required songs. This did suffice and was used the entire evening. When the owner of the company was contacted he said he would give us a full refund and we would receive t least a partial payment in a weeks time and the rest to follow. We have yet to receive any compensation and after contacting him he said he does not just keep money lying around and will have to get us our refund when it is convenient for him. I am not the type of person to put a business down but he told me also that this was not his fault but I must disagree. If you own a business you are responsible for your employees and their actions you did hire them to represent you and your business. Please join me in informing all your friends and family that Galaxie Productions is not a reliable company for a once in a lifetime event. We did finnally on 8/11/2012 receive a full refund and a letter of appology. Although this did not change what had happened the company did return our monies and appologized for their errors.

Hired this DJ service for son's wedding in July. Very disappointed!! Original DJ called in…read moresick?? so a sub was sent to do the wedding. The DJ had no clue how to work/read a crowd and get and keep people on the dance floor. Damon, the owner, did a walk through early in the reception but didn't bother to stay to make sure things went well. (I did not know that it was a sub until after the wedding and a family member had told me.) Requests for songs and activities, that was previously filled out, such as the Anniversary Dance, did not get done. Bride wanted to honor her grandparents with this dance/activity. Bride and groom and her family love country music. Very few songs in that genre played. Songs were played that no one recognized. (Even an amatuer can google songs that keep people on the dance floor.) Sickening to watch your friends and family, who love to dance, not be on the dance floor. Was so looking forward to relaxing and having fun on the dance floor with my family and friends! Was told by close friends and family how terrible this DJ was. (Attended my nephew's wedding last summer and the floor was packed all night.) This business advertises the importance of having quality entertainment for your guests, because that is what they will remember. Unfortunately, they don't stand by that philosophy. Guests will remember this wedding entertainment for the wrong reason! Owner didn't care that an obviously inexperienced DJ was going to work this wedding reception. Maybe the original DJ would have been ok, but why take the risk? We requested a refund but none given. Would not recommend this DJ service to anyone.
