Service was fine but the food was not the best quality. Very dry pork and only the sauce could save it. The sauces were basic. What you would expect from a BBQ place. We ordered a burger and was told it would take 20-25 minutes to make! We passed and just got our son a grilled cheese instead. Sadly the cheese was only melted on the outside. It was just slices of American cheese unmelted once you got past the edge. The Dad sandwhich is piled high with meat so you get generous portions for sure. It's a shame the pork has no smoke flavor though. Still edible, I just didn't feel like I had proper bbq. Mac and cheese is plain but does the job. We tried this place for the first time and ordered chicken wings, their grilled chicken wrap and some sweet potato fries to go. I really liked their hot sauce on chicken wings but the wings were a little overdone (hard to chew). The sweet potato fries were not fresh at all as you can see from the photo below. The only thing fresh was the grilled chicken wrap. It tasted good and that's something I would order again. Other than that, they can improve upon the rest of the things. We ate here more than once during our week's vacation. My mom has celiac and had a good experience with ordering and meal every visit. We had the Shack Potato, BBQ Shack Fries, pulled pork plate, and the smoked half chicken plate. All of it was good. The Mustard and Honey sauces are both GF. Decent prices, amazing food. I ordered the pulled pork plate which comes with 2 sides and Texas toast. I opted for the fried okra and sweet potato fries. My 6 year old got traditional wings (lemon pepper) and sweet potato fries as well. The kids order comes with 4 wings, which was good for her, but probably would've left my older ones still hungry. She loved them. My food came out very quickly, was delivered to my table, and was phenomenal. The pork was warm and moist. The original BBQ sauce at the table meant to pair with it was soooo good. They sell bottles of it by the register. I wish I could've tried the spicy sauce. Next time. The sweet potato fries were probably the best I've ever had. The okra was tasty too. The toast was buttered on one side and pretty dang good. Now, you may be wondering why I only gave 4 stars then. Honestly if it was only about food I would give it a 5+. I ordered the half chicken plate, sides were potato salad and green beans with Texas toast. Chicken had that great smoky taste but was a little over done for my taste. The food was great .The BBQ was cooked perfectly ,the 1/2 chicken was one of the best Iv ever tasted and the kids was begging for more of the chicken tenders ( which is rare ) . The Door Dash service will never be used by our family again at no fault to Shane's . We will 100% be back to this place . If you are looking for a good wont break the bank spot for BBQ I highly recommend this spot . It is now 1 of 2 spots I will put on our family eating places.
