This restaurant had a charming appearance, but the service was lacking from the start. With only one front-of-house staff member and one back-of-house staff member, the service was slow. When we arrived, there were only a few occupied tables. It took 15 minutes to be greeted, and then we waited 40 minutes for our meals. Unfortunately, the food did not taste homemade, which was disappointing given the prices. However, the food was served hot. Every table received the same level of service, which included taking orders, delivering drinks and food, and requiring patrons to retrieve their bills at the register. No plates were cleared, and refills were not offered. Considering the $15-$20 per person price range for breakfast, I expected fresher ingredients and better service. read more

Tried Jessie's Place and left feeling like it was overpriced for what you get. The food was decent, but it didn't really match the cost. There are better spots nearby for the value. Prepare to spend a little bit . Food did have a good flavor. read more

Overpriced !!!! We walked in hoping to eat some breakfast with the family , The server took our order and brought us our drinks a few sips later we noticed all our drinks had bugs/Trash , Totally felt DISGUSTED our Server took our drinks and gave us new ones 1 hr 1/2 later still no food we waited for the longest and eventually we left ! Breakfast - one piece of bread, totally white/untoasted. Prices are no where near what are on the menu pics on Yelp. Manager stopped by and spoke with me. She said the updated menu was on yelp. I don't see it. She also claimed that they have no control about the continuing post of the old menu. I am a bit surprised that they haven't claimed the Yelp listing and can then maintain it. read more

Man this place has fallen of sense they sold it. The food pales in comparison. They should have by all means changed the name when they sold. Jesses was a family own business that had built a spectacular reputation for years. It is, deceitful to think you will get the food, cleanliness or serves that you once got here. What you will get is a long wait time after being seated, a different menu, less than mediocre food and you get to see the cooks very unkept appearance and the waitress butt cheeks. The portion was Very small. I ordered a Philly steak melt and there was not enough meat on the sandwich for $14.75. I found it a little insulting to serve that little of meat and charge that much. Waffle House gives more filling in a melt. Also, the time it took to get our food was long and the food came out in 4 parts. By the time the first person had finished eating, the last person had not been served. I've waited tables, been a cook and this issue seems to be a staffing issue..... not enough people in the kitchen. read more

This owner is apparently new in January of 2023 and not the "new owner" mentioned in the other reviews. We had breakfast here and the waitress greeted us immediately and was nothing but friendly. They made me a chicken and cheese biscuit even though it was not on the menu. We will come back. read more

If you are thirsty don't go here. Waitress took our drink order then came back 25 mins later with our drinks. New owners but same name and worse food. Smart move on their part. Get the clientele and lose it in the same visit. Literally look forward to eating here every year. Never again. read more

Yuck yuck yuck. I'd give zero if I could. I gave it a shot today with my son & friends. So gross. Served me a Walmart hamburger patty with burnt edges and what they call gravy. The mac and cheese was literally butter noodles. Not original jesses place potato salad. Wasn't even busy and I was served the wrong drink and meal. Overall so yucky. I left hungry. so disappointing cause was once my favorite. read more

Hi, this place far exceeded my expectations. I had one of their specials for the day. The catfish strips were fresh and seasoned perfect. My side's were home made mash potato with brown gravy black eye peas cornbread and banana pudding . I cant express how good that banana was. The menu changes daily and I can hardly wait to go back and try more dishes. The banana pudding was off the chain. See y'all again soon. read more

Not sure who is reviewing this place because it definitely was not four start worthy. McDonald's is more tasty and flavorful. We got take out and everything was tasteless. We ordered eggs bacon and potatoes. Everything was low quality and cooked poorly. Got the sausage gravy and I'm pretty sure it was a mix from the grocery store. Flavorless and watery. Totally not worth the price. Ordered French toast. 2 pieces of toast, no strawberries, nothing. Then got the omelette with sausage, spinach, tomato and feta. Got an omelet with overdone torn up sausage Pattie's and nothing else. Even got the hash browns wrong. It was a to go order, so did not realize this until I got home. Extremely disappointed, especially since there were good reviews. read more

This place is amazing. Small and busy, but amazing. We went there one morning for breakfast, but we got there right after the lunch started so you could get either. The lunch specials looked so good that I said nevermind all together to breakfast and ordered the chicken and dumplins special. It was a huge meal and all the sides were delicious. I'm surprised this place is still open. Everything was terrible. We waited a long time to even get drinks. Coffee was not made until we ordered it. When you go into a restaurant drinks should be served immediately. The kids were done with their meals by time ours even came out. My eggs were so runny they weren't even cooked. No flavor on anything. I couldn't even eat it. $65 later for terrible service and terrible food. I can't believe this place has a 4.5 rating. This is the first review I've ever left but these people are using previous owners name and rating and you get there to be completely disappointed. The food was overcooked. Our server was attentive, but angry. They are overpriced for what they serve. The fruit dish was limited, but pricey. I tried the waffle with fruit and whipping cream. The blueberries were dry and they only gave a small portion of fruit. I ordered extra bowl of fruit to add to waffle just in case. Glad I did, but it cost me. My family ordered the pancakes and eggs which were overdone. read more
