I cannot speak highly enough of this place. I read the reviews prior that it gets poppin and to get there early. They opened at 8am and we was outside with a bunch of other people at 730am. There's only about 5 tables in the place so it makes sense why they have a line. It is WORTH it. The food was phenomenal. I love a good salty grilled ham steak and my husband loves a good breakfast burrito. They make everything from scratch. One woman in the back making it all. Props to her! They also had a very long menu of homemade sides for lunch time. I would definitely check those out and please let me know! I believe our server said it was a family business. We need to support more places like this!!!!! Please go here! Pros: good food, good service, good prices Cons: small parking lot, only 5 tables.

Great food! I got the blueberry French toast and it was amazing. My wife got the breakfast burrito and she also thought it was amazing. Definitely will come back next time I am in PCB.

We waited a hour for our food even though it was just us and two other families. The food is also not worth the wait.

Food was ok, not great. Wait was terrible. Had to listen to some soft Christain rock during breakfast. Not ready for a revival.

Great family owned business! We really enjoyed the food and "everyone is a friend" type atmosphere as soon as you walk in.

The grits are absolutely amazing and one of my favorite things on the menu. They remind me of my grandmother's homemade grits, especially after I mix in my eggs and bacon. The gentlemen working behind the bar were incredibly kind and a pleasure to talk with. They had strong accents, so I didn't catch everything they said, but they were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. Our waitress was fantastic as well. She made sure our coffee cups were always full and checked on us regularly without being overbearing. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town for vacation. This place has a all you can eat buffet going with the regular menu. We some how got seated right away, and had water and coffee within 2 minutes. I was impressed. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet with hash browns and toast. Nancy had the ham and cheese omelet with rye. This place was busy to say the least. We had our food in less then a half hour. Our server was on her best game coffee hot and kept full and the food was the same. The omelet was like eating a cloud, I have never had eggs that fluffy and full of cheese and ham. 5 stars for this place and it's staff.

Very casual comfort, exactly what I'd expect from a restaurant with a Bayou namesake…read more The place has an unusual menu limited only to daily specials for lunch, so I initially got the impression that I was at some prison-like boarding school. But once I took my first bite, I was pretty satisfied. I had the country-fried steak, along with mash & gravy, and rice & gravy. It was good, and for under $20, I really can't complain. The place is huge, very spacious with both indoor and water-side outdoor seating.... something I'm not used to seeing in Los Angeles. It almost felt like a studio set at Universal. Definitely a lot of Bayou character! Service staff was young and friendly, without any of the pretentious I'm used to in La. The folks are real, and I appreciate that. Because of the limited menu, I'd advise you call ahead and make sure it's something you like, cuz if it's not, you're SOL. I like it. I'll definitely be back.
