I had complained of short term memory loss and he sent me to a specialist for sleep apnea. I wasn't buying it. I went to see a doctor in Cambridge and all they had was a PA. This girl was smart enough to have my blood drawn and they phoned me that afternoon that my AIC was nearly twice the borderline limit. I had been misdiagnosed by Dr. Vinsel and it took a physicians assistant out of the area to figure it out!!!! Worse. Dr. Barnes wouldn't treat me because I had already seen Dr. Vinsel. Also, no respect for confidential info. As patients filled out some info update form, they can be overheard laughing, out loud, at patients' info. where people in waiting area can overhear! I was shocked! Also Dr. Vensil's nurse had a lousy, unhelpful disposition and always rushed! She actually missed noting one of the supplements I had mentioned to her which was a big factor in that it caused irregular thyroid blood work! I called and requested callback from office manager, Kim, but she never called back which just tells me they don't care, so it compelled me to air it here. Nowadays, medical care is expensive, I refuse to settle for crappy service from front desk to doctor. I will drive to Columbus for quality med care; it is worth the drive! It makes a big difference when your health and sometimes life is at stake. There are good people in Genesis system wanting to improve its brand, but there are some (not all) employees they can do without, unfortunately.

She had my bloodwork taken care of right in the office; Wendy the phlebotomist is great at her job - no pain at all. The staff is warm and welcoming, always helpful, and they get to know you. This is something that makes this office extra special. I have recently moved away from Zanesville and after a year of not coming in for a visit, they called and left me a friendly message reminding me to come in for an annual check-up, just to secure my spot as their patient. I was living in Chicago at the time and unfortunately had to say my goodbye. Over the years I have become extremely thankful for every person that works in the office, not just Dr. Dunmeyer. I appreciated their trust in knowing me as their patient. The fact that they know and understand my needs and health issues, and always keep them in mind, means the world to me. It made things convenient and actually going to the doctor enjoyable. While I may not be visiting this office anymore, I know my family is. Follow up appointment moved but provider refused to give new medication prescription to cover until follow up appointment. The waiting room was comfortable which was nice. The nurses were very present and drawing blood and giving shits were virtually painless. Dr. Coleman is my Doctor and I must say he is very personable, and didn't seem like I was just another person - he seemed like he truly cared, unlike other doctors that just want to go in and go fast and on to the next patient. a+
