This is the best Indian restaurant in Roseburg! The hard working women really know what they are doing. The lunch buffet is always well stocked and delicious with authentic Nan from their tandoori oven. My favorite is the coconut milk rice and mango pudding for dessert. My daughter was feeling like Indian food. I'm not sure why the ratings are lower for this restaurant, we had nothing but good service. We called in an order for butter chicken, and it was ready in 15 minutes when we arrived. They do have a small Buffet during the week that includes butter chicken. It's $12.99 and everything looked really good. Our to go order was packaged with everything we needed, including a bowl and wooden utensils. They had great customer service and were very courteous and polite. I would highly recommend the butter chicken and this restaurant. read more

Which, before it was prepped, she walked out with 2 giant eggplants in her hands. I also couldn't believe the amount of Basmati rice I got! All of this was roughly $25 and was enough for my and lunch, dinner for at least 2 days. She also mentioned a vegan buffet on certain nights. Which is amazingly cool. THE BEST INDIAN FOOD!!! My partner and I went to Oregon for a week for the hikes, waterfalls, Crater Lake NP, and the weather (jk lol). We stayed in Roseburg, OR for 3 nights, 2 of the 3 nights, we dine at Shanti's Indian Cuisine, and boy those are some of the best Indian foods I've had in my life (well, I guess I haven't dine at many Indian restaurant, but I promise this place is GOOD!) and prices are reasonable too (I should mention, we are from LA where everything is expensive). 1st night, we dined in, you walked in the restaurant you felt as if you walked into a restaurant in India. They were playing Indian music, the decorations on the wall, the little pot they serve the curry in. Below are what we ordered: Chicken Vindaloo (chicken was tender!) Lamb Saag (so flavorful, so good!) Mango Lassi (it's $2.99 and they fill it up for you) Garlic Naan white rice comes with, and they give you A LOT of white rice. 2nd night, we ordered togo because it was earlier during the day and it was hot and we didn't want to leave our dog in the car. Lamb Saag (again cause it was so good the first time we had it) Chili Chicken (chicken was a bit dry but it was still good) Mango Lassi Plain Naan Aloo Naan (above two Naans are good, but I personally prefer garlic naan, cause it's more flavorful) We intentionally ordered more the 2nd night, so we could bring some leftover back to LA. This is the second time I've ever had Indian food, so I'm not very familiar with the dishes and tastes. In saying that, this was hands down the best tasting meal I've had all year. It truly is indescribably delicious. I asked the gentlemen to give me his favorite meal, and while he was a bit nervous and reluctant at first, I, and he, made the right call. Here's what I got: veggie samosas (possibly the best tasting food I have eaten in my entire life, zero exageration), garlic naan (sp?) which was sooooooo good, rice (I had no idea rice could taste this good too, what did they do?!)and the main dish of Chicken Korma (I got it spicy, and it's spicy, but wooooow those flavors are incredible). $22 for ALL of it. Its been over a day and I'm still in disbelief at how good the entire experience was. I will 100% come here every time I'm in town. I'm telling you, if your on the fence, let this be your sway. Get it. If you don't, you're missing out on the flavor train and will surely regret it. That woman in the kitchen is an angel sent from food heaven, surely. I have nothing but good things to say about this place!!! First off it was one of the only places open at 4:30 pm on a Friday in Roseburg and I'm so happy we found it. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and generous portions to boot.. we are vegan and were able to get everything vegan which isn't always easy. This is by far the best Indian food I've ever had!! I was visiting Oregon and staying in Roseburg for a few days. Just trying to figure out what to eat and I had a craving for Indian so I did a yelp search and found this place. As soon as I walked in the restaurant I could smell the delicious aroma!! I was beyond hungry from the smell. I tried the chat Samosa and oh my God!! I've been missing out. I've had samosas before but never with all the toppings that this dish includes. It was so big it was probably enough for a one person meal instead of an appetizer. I got my usual which is chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. And I am blown away by the rich flavors of each dish!! Garlic naan to die for!! Best garlic Naan I've ever had! The chicken tiki masala was very rich and creamy. Some I've had previously only had a few bits of chicken and more of the sauce but this was the opposite! Many chunks of chicken breast!! The servings of each entrée were more than enough for one person. Last but not least the server was great! A great attitude,very happy, and cheery and made my dining there unforgettable. This place has the some of the best Indian food I've ever had. My wife and I have eaten here twice while staying in Roseburg and have never been disappointed. The aloo tiki appetizer is delicious and well worth ordering even if you order nothing else--three large patties that are crispy on the outside and moist inside. The servings of any of the entrees are huge--be forewarned, one entree will easily feed three to four people. Garlic naan is super garlicky, tandoori entrees are killer.
