We've been coming to SunRiver for 5 years. The facility is nice for kids. But the prices to get in are outrages. You pay $25! per person.This is just to get in. Outside food is not permitted, we packed a lunch and ate just outside in the picnic area, you can re enter. They do have food inside, but it's expensive also. This pool should be included in ALL stays. We all pay a maintenance fee. We have a timeshare here in SunRiver and do not even get a discount. We did take the kids and Grandkids there for 1 day, $450. But will not do it again. Would rate a little higher if fee was not so high. read more

We came here in the winter, so we only experienced the indoor pool. I paid the adult admission off season (Sept 8 - May 22) rate of $15. It is free for kids 4 & under. The pool is on the small side and with only 20 people there, it felt crowded. It is very shallow on one end and gets gradually deeper so it is easy for new swimmers to get in and out. They have a volleyball net and basketball hoop in the pool and 2 small "whirlpools" that the kids enjoyed. The water was a little on the cold side. As far as floatation devices go, I put our Stearns puddle jumper on the 3 year old and didn't get any "funny" looks. This place is clearly designed for the summer crowd, not sure it is worth the trip in the winter. read more

Came for duck race and underwater Easter egg hunt. The entire event was a logistical train wreck. Many employees standing around and long waits between duck heats as they took 15 minutes to collect ducks for next heats, REPEATEDLY. Lots of families with small children standing around in the cold for an event that started 30 minutes late and ran easily 3x as long as it should have. Cold kids stretched far beyond their attention span was not a good formula. Eventually a parent jumped in to assist the logistical challenges. Egg dive suffered from similar long wait and poor execution. Fun spot for kids, but needs significant management overhaul and a little bit of consideration of families in their process planning. read more

STICKER SHOCK! $25 per person admission to what basically feels like a set of community pools. I will definitely revise this review if they revise the pricing and policies. (NOTE TO SHARC: This facility isn't a water park-- it's a pool. Pricing is way NUTS!) 3 improvements would make this place much more user friendly: 1. Holy cow reduce the admission prices! 2. Allow parents to come in to supervise their kids without paying admission. 3. Allow outside snacks for god's sake! I can't bring goldfish crackers for my 4-yr-old? Really? Parents watch out they charge you as a parent even if you aren't swimming and just want to come in to supervise your child. More NUTS! This makes even less sense because they use a bracelet system - so couldn't they just make sure that anyone in the pool is wearing a bracelet and all people sitting in chairs at the side of the pool aren't wearing bracelets? How hard would that be? And really, how many people are really going to lie and say they are just watching their kid and then decide to jump in the pool? Not enough. Clearly, the person who came up with this policy isn't a parent (and is overly paranoid.) The pool areas aren't that different than a nice community center pool that you already have in your own hometown. Yes, there is a tube slide and short innertube channel that are cool but let me repeat: SHARC is NOT an actual "water park" worth the current prices of admission. Please consider a more realistic pricing and parental supervision policy that is less burdensome, more realistic, and more user friendly. read more

Really tried to make the best of it. We came to Sharc with our 7 year old daughter who is an excellent swimmer. She was not quite 48 inches tall, so she was not allowed to go down any of the slides, not even with a parent. We had driven by this place many times during our stay at Sunriver and she was so excited to finally be coming to Sharc. It was big let down and disappointment. We walked in with a happy girl skipping her way into the pool and walked out with a sad child who is always so easy to please. Staff was very friendly so I give them a star. Place was clean so they get a second star. Did not stay long enough to try any of the food. read more

First off this is no water park. It is an outdoor community center. We came at splashy hour for $13 and I still feel like I got ripped off. My kids, 10, 12 and 14 love water parks but were bored here within 45 minutes. They also charge for spectators which is completely ridiculus. We will never come back and will also be warning others. The SHARC has been in the past, a highlight of Sunriver for many of our family trips. The challenges of COVID are definitely prevalent with the operations of this establishment. They continue to have staffing challenges and it's not the same experience. We waited in line for the morning session for maybe 20 minutes and were notified that they were at capacity. We decided to game plan to be back at 12:15 pm to stand and camp in line to get into the 2 pm session. We were there early enough that we got in. Only 650 or so are allowed. 2 hours into the session the place was shut down because of thunderstorms. We understood and took action to pack up and leave. Within a 5 minute period we were yelled at 4 times you have to leave its for safety. Constantly berated with you must evacuate the premises. We understand you are doing your job but it doesn't mean you have to be rude and condescending. It takes time to gathering all belongings , especially when you have young kids. Have some decency and consideration and a sense of customer service when interacting with disappointed little children and parents. The management is at fault for building a culture that is not welcoming and not setting the standard of an enjoyable guest experience. Truly a disappointing experience that is not worth the 2 hour wait. Consider the people that also waited 2 hours and didn't get in. Be considerate of the peoples time that paid their hard earned money to vacation here. Understandably the challenges make your job harder but doesn't give you a free pass to be bad at your job. read more

Parking is great. Prices are great because they are included with your resort condo rental, yay! Children under 4 are free. No food or beverage is allowed, which is nice but poopy too. It is easier to keep clean but the food is outrageously expensive!!! You can purchase beer and smoothies and ice cream inside. There is 1 slide that rafts are allowed on and its fun but short. One slide no rafts are allowed on and its fun but short too. There is a lazy river, several pools and an obstacle course type thing you hang from ropes and pull yourself across movable "logs". The toddler place was par none. It was great. It had a small splashing pool, grass for lounge chairs and the parents and then a pretty large sand plot with lots of water and sand toys. My two children, 2 and 3 and my nephew 18 months had a blast for several hours going back and forth, The food was good, but spendy, the parking was great, the place was incredibly clean and the workers friendly. Oh man this was just hilarious to me. As a mom to "a water park enthusiast child" this was just an over priced rec center. Major disappointment and my teenagers didn't even last and hour. ( Typically I have to pull them away). My advice make entrance fee compatible to what the facility actually is. read more

You should consider treating guests with more respect. Guest can be future members, don't forget your front desk staff is the face of your facility, rudeness does not welcome future members and in no way entices people to drop $25 per person. May consider a place in Black Butte instead. read more

There are plenty of things to do in Sunriver this is one of them. Plenty of swimming opportunities. The indoor pool is a bit of a draw back. They always claim the water is warmer than it is. The room is also cold. All the sun that is hitting that room and no warmth. Its a bummer that they feel after charging you an exorbitant fee to get in they also have to offer food for three times the price. The place is clean. There is the ability to come and go with the wrist band so i did give two stars for that. Very pretentious staff. Assumed i was a guest first and acted as such. Made me feel less than impprtant as they interrupted helping me with three others they recognized. All smiles and pleasantries for them. Seemed all apologetic when i found my badge. I also dont like the depth of the indoor pool. Super shallow. Very crowded with only about 20 people. The outside well its just pack em in and keep packin em in. Then you are dealing with the people that let their teenage kids do whatever they want and there they are pushing young kids out of the way and running them over. read more

Wonderful place for aquatics for all ages; really love the facility. Had a wonderful experience in 2014 here, and family loved it so much we came back in 2015. Lap swimming hours, open swim, great infant lagoon pools, water slides, lazy river, lots of friendly life guards... However, 2 stars deducted for terrible decision (from my perspective) to limit lap swim opening hours to 8:00am with IRAP in 2015. (It was 7:00am in 2014). This really changes the balance of the day for enthusiastic early morning swimmers vacationing in the area. The change was apparently made to allow residents (not vacationers) unimpeded access early in the day. I don't really understand this because these are the very same residents that benefit from this being a vacation resort town fitted out with this great facility. Unfortunately intransigent lady on front desk will not let you in with IRAP (not her fault if I may add, but unfortunately she decided to lie to me at 7:00am that the outdoor pool was full when there was only one life guard swimming around in it, and that lie has made me mad enough to write this review). So, clearly I made the mistake of missing the small print and acronyms on the website and am sitting outside waiting to get in just now. I'm here at end of June / start of July, and unfortunately only one resident arrived so far (7:45am). I hope he doesn't get lost in all that wonderful pool facility out there... Still, getting close to 8:00am when lap swim begins for those dreaded vacationers... How dare they try to lap swim early before having breakfast with the rest of their families. read more

Though their website says that the facility is open to "members and their guests" and "Visitors can enjoy the same amenities that lured our owners to this special place" guests are actually not allowed to use the gym. Additionally our 7 month old was not allowed to use a flotation device in the pool. This place feels incredibly pretentious and the staff was rude and unaccommodating. read more

Cant say enough good things about the staff and meeting facility at the SHARC in Sunriver. We were met with helping hands upon arrival, assistance with unloading and room setup, checking in on us multiple times throughout the entire day, and were able to accommodate our every strange request...the cafe even selling us coffee creamer due to a spill. The facilities were stocked from comfortable chairs, excess tables, large kitchen prep area, and a dream of an ice machine. They have thought it through and all 45 meeting participants were impressed! Above and beyond in hospitality and customer service, our organization will be back! read more

This place is speedy, but worth every penny if you're spending the day! It was $120 for six of us. Don't bother with buying a lock for a locker. Get there early, when they open, and you'll have plenty of shaded seats to pick from. The lazy river gets crowded towards the afternoon and basically turns into a kids playground. The water slides were awesome. Not bad turn around time. You need to be 48" though for the big one. You can't bring outside food and drink in, and the cafe prices are what you'd expect for sunriver. You cannot bring any food or drink back to your chairs, or outside the small cafe area! They do, however, sell beer and wine. The kids ordered yummy smoothies but we spent A LOT of time at the cafe table waiting for them to finish and other families didn't have a place to sit. Wish they'd change that rule. Great fun though! A definite MUST in sunriver. You have to bring your own towels! And no pool toys or masks, snorkel, etc allowed except regular swim goggles. They do have life jackets and if you bring your own, they have to be coast guard approved. We brought a swim jumper, and it was great. read more

We visited SHARC on our first trip to Sunriver. We got discounted passes through our rental. It's a fun place, but if I'd paid full admission price, I'd be upset. There's not nearly enough to do for the $25 price tag. My 5 year old wasn't able to use the water slides, not even with a parent on the ones you can have 2 people on. It's very clean and well maintained. I'd go back if it's included in my vacation rental, but I would not pay full price to go. read more

Seems pretty overpriced for what you get here. Need more shade umbrellas, lots more. Have to get a number for a soda at the cafe and then can't take anything off the patio area, even a soda. Lazy river tubes only available if someone happens to give one up so there is a crowd hanging around the edge in a line with no lifeguard assistance. I probably won't be back. read more

The cove pool is better!! Once it is six o clock all of the employees leave so you can do hoodrat stuff with your friends. If your kid decides to use the facilities in the pool, no worries! there is so much pee that it just mixes in and nobody notices!! It gives the pool a great zesty flavor which many people tend to enjoy in a pool. Also they give you towels that you can just throw in the pool if you want, like when your done wiping yourself down, just toss the towel in the drink, worry free! read more

My family loves coming to the Sharc! We have a condo at The Ridge, which is very close to the facility. There is something for all ages. My two year old loves the splash pool for the little ones and the giant sand put with tons of toys. The lazy river is super fun too, as well as both of the water slides. We could easily spend all day here. There is even cafe with yummy food on site! read more

This place is so crowded, you can hardly use it. Indoor pools lack an adequate ventilation, so - they are extremely stuffy, chlorinated and may be hazardous to your health. The outdoor part is better, but it's either very crowded or closed if SHARK management sees a small cloud on the horizon or, god forbid, hears a distant thunder. We spent a week in July at Sunriver and outdoor part of SHARC was closed for at least several hours pretty much every afternoon/evening, yet we hardly saw a few drops of rain. A facility which charges $25 entrance fee per person and then shuts down its doors due to imaginary thunderstorms without any refunds should be lucky to get two stars... read more

A very nice facility, however you have to pay outrageous full admission prices even when 75% of the activities are closed for the season. Also, kids 12 and under need an adult to stay with them, which is great, except that adults have to pay just to watch their kids. That's corrupt. Charge what you want for the services.... but if you're limiting the services, reduce the fee. And don't charge parents who aren't using the service. read more

Me and my family have now been to this facility in the summer and winter. Summer was ok, kids had fun, but again if you want to watch it will cost you. Now with that being said exactly the same for the winter. Another experience we had was practically having to have the front desk gal watch my potty trained nephew use the restroom for her because she did not believe he was potty trained. (Which is was) while we were using the facility even one of there lifeguards witnessed him let us know that he had to use the restroom. After are experience while my 8 yr old daughter and myself are showering a man walks straight into the locker room. Now when I went to talk to the front desk I got head turn and told there was a comment box on the wall. Between that incident and having to plead my case because my nephew was 2 and not 4?! She did not believe us. Very very uncomfortable/inappropriate/unprofessional facility/staff members!!! read more

We are owners with three kids. The Sharc has added so much fun to our vacations. Two things that make it a turn off, dirty locker rooms for swimming and a very dirty workout facility. It's never fresh! Please step up your maintenance it will make baring the crowds worth it. read more

I would never pay full price to go to Sharc. We are locals who wanted to use the facilities for the morning during the off season and were treated very rudely by the front desk staff. We were unaware that you can not bring in your own lunch ( no healthy children items available in cafeteria) My daughter is 3 and loves to wear water wings...not allowed in this pool. I have never heard of such a rule! She was devastated and made for a less than fun morning. The sand area is not shaded and extremely hot. read more
