I have purchased pies from Shari's since they opened. Any where from 10 to 15 a year. Never had any issues until the last time. Purchased a chocolate cream pie. When I tried to cut a slice from it the pie fell apart. The filling had never set. When a piece was removed the chocolate filling flowed like Hershey's syrup. I called and told them about the pie and asked if I needed to bring it in. I was told no, just bring the receipt. Brought the receipt I had. It was the wrong receipt. I only had the debit card receipt. I needed the receipt listing what was purchased. I never receive that receipt. So they are basically saying without that receipt they do not believe that I purchased the pie. Needless to say that is the last time I will set foot in that place. read more

Waited to be seated when there were a lot of open tables. Then received the menu, asked for coffee, got a nasty dirty coffee cup. Asked the lady to take it back to get a clean cup, she took the cup, wiped it off and brought it back. We got, paid over $8.00 for 2 dirty cups of coffee, and left to go elsewhere. the pies in the case did not look edible either. They did not seem to care. read more

We met some relatives half way there at Moses Lake Shari's. We had driven either from Wenatchee and Tri-Cities. Since both the Wenatchee and Tri-Cities Sharis are closed we thought this would be a good pick. Our food was just okay. The waitress or cook forgot one of our orders so finally after 10 minutes or so she delivered it to our table at least it was hot. We all had started eating before the missing entree was delivered and before everything got cold. One of our sandwiches had bread so hard it was inedible. Our pies looked as if someone had taken a cheap frozen pie and thawed it. I can remember when their pies were to die. Not these that's for sure. The restaurant was dingy and when we used the rest rooms the floors were dirty and sticky and one of the toilet had an out of order sign posted. Very few customers at the lunch hour so we should have realized there was problem. Really miss the old Shari but won't be back to this one. read more

So, as I have said before, restaurant reviews should be categorized. A five star truck stop diner is not in the same class as a four star farm to fork. Shari's defo falls into the first of the two. Large menu of variety to make up for a lot of prepared foods that chains use to protect their bottom line. As we moved through the novela menu we changed our "I'm gonna get that" through breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I decided on the T-bone steak and eggs and my girl got a Cajun chicken and avocado sandwich. The food was good. The avocados were ripe, tomatoes were red, and the steak was "technically" medium rare. The star of the show however was not the sandwich that may or may not have had to be returned for avocado, but was instead Billie. Billie was quick, friendly, and personable. During the course of our meal we learned quite a bit about Billie without her being (overly) oppressive with information. She spoke with us quite a bit to the point that even though I knew she was slammed (industry jargon), she never showed it. So yeah, 3 stars on the food and decor, 5 stars on the service. Food was horrible. We have gone multiple times and the broccoli side is always soggy and gross. The chicken was dry and undercooked once. The food mediocre however the cook does know how to make poached eggs properly. Most of the staff is very kind and sweet, but Leslie is extremely rude and condescending so if you end up with her as a server, sorry she also spilled coffee on the table and instead of getting a towel and wiping it up, she just brought a napkin and set it on top of the spill, there was only four tables in the restaurant at the time, and our service was less than desirable but as I said the shift did a good job with the poached eggs she was the problem all the other servers, and all the other staff were very friendly and kind. We ordered two entrees, the BYO build your own omelette with hash browns and pancakes and the Lemon Pepper Chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The food was very good and generous portions. While the waitstaff was friendly a few of the servers were very very loud and congregating behind the counter discussing personal topics. Laughing and making way too much noise. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. Other than the annoyingly loud staff the food is good and the restaurant and restrooms are clean. Her eggs were cold, the pancakes had an off, odd taste to them (which, she ordered the breakfast cannoli, and apparently rolled pancakes with a tiny bit of cream cheese in them is now a cannoli) and I had maybe two slices of ham on my sandwich. We didn't bother to stay to complain because we had to get back to the other half of WA pretty quickly and we were hungry enough that we forced ourselves to eat the food so we wouldn't have to wait longer, but we certainly won't be eating here again. TL;DR: the food here is disgusting and not well made in comparison to every other Shari's we've been to and I'm worried we'll have food poisoning. Don't go here. read more

We were traveling through Moses Lake on our way home from vacation. We saw Shari's and decided to eat our meal there. However, upon entering, they refused service to our family over us entering without masks. Then they changed their mind and sat us as far in the back as possible away from the only other two customers in the entire restaurant. Then they came back and kicked us out. We are a FAMILY! We are taxpayers! We have been loyal customers for as long as it has been open. We actually MET at a Shari's and even though the food is so-so, we supported them and took it for what is was. However, we will NEVER go back to another Shari's. Apparently they have enough of a customer base that they can mistreat travelers. read more

Last year I gave this cafe a bad review and said I would never go back. but 2 months ago three of us decided to give them a second chance . We went back last Sunday and this place after church it was packed. We had a little bit of a wait to be seated but it was well worth the wait. If they keep this up I will gladly go back again. the food and service has greatly improved. This place is as bad as they get. I always loved Shari's for a good dinner and knew what I'd get. I didn't get it here. Pros: Location, nice and quiet, because no one goes here. Pie: It's hard to screw up pie Cons: Service Food Price It's just not good. Our first visit the entire team went. Everyone was disappointed. MY salad came out HOT! The cheese was melted. It sat under the heat lamp for that long the entire thing was hot. I couldn't eat it. Not one time did our server as if we needed anything or drink refills. I decided I'd try again. I called in my order this time and got another steaming hot salad. This is uncalled for. My order was correct but my partners wasn't even present. The manager, Kami, is the ONLY reason I kept giving this place another chance. I returned again. This time I ordered and got tater tots so cooked they crumbled. They were dark, dark brown and burnt. I left a tip and asked for an itemized receipt. The girl was arguing with another server about who got my tip, less than 3 feet away from me, and ignored me. I asked again, she said she gave me one, turned her back on me, and kept going on about a tip. She then said have a good day and walked away, never giving me an itemized receipt. This establishment is the WORST of the worst. We gave them multiple tried and they couldn't get it right once. I truly hope they get a staff that cares and a new cook. Home away from home. If you read my reviews, you will see this is very, very important to me. I am no king or prince but like others, I don't mind being treated like one; or like a friend. That happens for me at Shari's. Food is good, but the service wins out! I have never had a time here when I have received bad service or even bad food (ok, maybe the butternut squash soup wasn't tops).
