Isn't an allergy doctor supposed to have the serums for those substances on hand to use for those tests? Since when does the patient have to supply all these items themselves? I found this to be very unprofessional, but I went along with it. In addition to that - and subsequently not even properly diagnosing my allergy - this guy had the gall to charge me a ridiculously high amount for a plastic spacer that the drug salespeople leave with doctors as samples to give to their patients free of charge. He even said, while handing it to me "Here's something for you." only to go and bill my insurance for it! Not only did I already have one and never claimed to need a new one - but I could have gotten it at my pharmacy for no cost if I did need one. That was in addition to a number of other questionable fees and charges that were tacked on to my bill. Shoddy practice, sneaky charges, and no relief from my allergy to boot. I moved right along.

When no one could diagnose her... I turned to this doctor and he solved the mystery! He was terminated to find out what was wrong with my child. You can clearly see how caring and passionate he truly is. He is a doctor who wants to help you. Not get you in and out like most do. He even had medical questions for my husband and had me call him so he can talk to him. What doctor does that?? Right there and then he figured everything out. He even called to check up on her! What doctor actually cares enough to call and not have a nurse do it! I'm truly great full for this doctor. If it was not for him...I would have never known what was going on with my child. I wish more doctors were like him!! I will never forget this doctor. I would highly recommend him!!

Worst doctor ever!!!!…read more NYS Dept of Health website (look it up) has a judgment against him from both 2001 & 1998 for medical negligence, ordering unnecessary tests, poor record keeping and based on MY personal experience alone has not learned. Sent my child to another County for tests she didn't need for a condition that was later fixed (by another doctor) with a medication found in aisle 4 of my local grocery store! Takes FOREVER in the room and reads the manuals to you. Took him over an hour to give me a simple annual check up for work (1 hr, 20 min). Office is unkempt, dirty, cold, everything is broken, and he is terribly rude to his staff. I was so embarrassed for her. Every website I looked up for medical reviews had complaints from other patients similar to mine! WATCH OUT FOR THIS GUY!!!!

I was not given an allergy shot on that visit, and after calling repeatedly over the next two months, I was told they just didn't have any bee venom. (There is no supply chain issue -- I called my old allergist's office upstate.) While they were stringing me along, my gap in care expanded to four months, so I finally asked if they could commit to a timeline for resuming shots. They could not, and advised me to find another practice. After this long gap, I had to start over from scratch, which is going to cost me hundreds of dollars in co-pays and dozens of hours of travel time. All of this could've been avoided from the start by simply being transparent with me. (Although, to be honest, all of this defies logic and explanation to the point that I don't know what transparency would even look like.) This is not to mention being confidently told that I had an immunological disorder before testing was even ordered. I got the tests...and four months later, there has been no follow-up phone call. I doubt one is ever coming.

Finding a good Lyme doctor is tough, it's a controversial area of treatment and there are a lot of treatments that seem to be taking advantage of sick people. I felt very informed and thoroughly listened to in the appointment and feel like Dr. Horowitz's team does a good job of combining traditional medicine with supplements and dietary advice to help deal with Lyme.

I've had several prescriptions sent to the wrong pharmacy despite me having spoken to them each time there was an error. It too the fourth prescription for them to get that right. However Dr Mayle out a script in for me over four weeks ago and they no pharmacy has a record of it. Today they called and left a message on my answering my answering machine. I literally called them back thirty seconds later and no one but the answering service ever picked up for over an hour. I still haven't gotten through to them !!!! I'll try calling tomorrow but I don't have much hope. If it wasn't for Mayle I'd be gone already. I have a feeling he is planning to retire in a couple of years so maybe I should start looking now for a better run practice

I have had an ongoing problem with upper sinus congestion due to CPAP usage, but I had always had a problem breathing properly after plenty of elbows to the nose playing basketball as a kid up to HS Varsity. 48 years later, it was time to discover the significantly deviated septum. Dr. Piastro - "You see that" (pointing to screen) Me - "Yeah" Dri. Piastro - "It's not supposed to be touching THAT" (tapping on the screen to the other side of my sinus from where my septum should be...LOL). Clear clinical summary, Doc! The quality of work was excellent. I had no Sharpie tribal art on my face when I woke up, and in the end, the process used was relatively pain-free, and well executed. I can not smell things I never could before. Life is a olefactory melody now..... I highly recommend Dr. Piastro and the WMC POK & Kingston teams for any ENT work. She is FUN and engaging (as is the team), and just the kind of person you can trust to probe your sinuses....LOL
