We ordered a mixed shawarma wrap, a chicken shawarma combo, and hummus from Grubhub the other day. Unfortunately, the driver did not give us our hummus and we had to get a refund. We were very disappointed because their hummus is the best in the area and we only order theirs when we want it. The chicken shawarma combo was enough for two people and the wrap was huge as well. Both of them were delicious, as usual, and we were extremely pleased to be able to have the food delivered warm and fresh to our home. We have tried several places for shawarma and hummus, but none of them compare to the deliciousness of this place. I have to admit, after reading a couple of the negative reviews I was a bit nervous to try this place for the first time. Luckily, my husband and I still gave it a shot and we're pleasantly surprised by the food! I enjoyed the Chicken Combo. Every item on the plate was quite tasty, right down to the pickle. Rice is typically a side that I can do without but even that complimented the others well! Initially we were a little thrown off by the gentlemen preparing the meal, but I think the attitude was more of a cultural barrier, as he warmed up to us and was happy to receive our compliments at the end of the meal. Wow. The beef and chicken shawarma were amazing. If you're looking for a wrap/sandwich full of flavor and so unbelievably filling, this is your place. The shawarma comes with fries for $8, such a steal. The meal came with a side of hot sauce (which I didn't care too much for) and a side of white/garlicy sauce, it was so good. Dipped my fries in there and it was like a bite of heaven. Super quick service, we ordered at the counter and had our food within 5-10 min. Had catered lunch from here at a work event. The falafel are seriously the best I've ever had in my life. I was so sad when I went to the buffet for seconds and the falafel were gone. Do yourself a huge favor and order AMPLE falafel. They might want to change their name to Falafel City because to me, that's the star of the show here. The hummus was also AMAZING and creamy and just freaking perfect. Definitely 2 items that are as good as they get. The chicken & beef shawarma were good too. Salad as well. We order from Shawarma fairly often since it is so close to our house. The food is delicious, generous portions, and reasonably priced! Our go to is usually the Mixed Shawarma platter, but they have many options of meat and if you want to do rice, fries, salad or half/half of those options. Whenever we call in an order it's usually ready in 20 min or less. The restaurant itself is more of a takeout joint but does have some tables and booth seating. When I picked up my order in person, the staff were kind and very welcoming. Usually a dish from here lasts us for at least 2 meals. The white garlic sauce it comes with is delicious! This place is probably the best Mediterranean in town. The food is of best quality, the prices are decent. However, the reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because they take quite a lot of time to prepare the food (probably because they make it fresh, which is good). Also, there are many stuff that aren't listed in the menu that you can ask for, such as; whole chicken over rice, burgers, fries (for 3$ you get a really large plate of delicious seasoned fries), the place also makes soups and grilled fish! dont let the small place fool you. as it makes the best, tastiest and cleanest sandwitches i have ever eaten since i landed in this country three years ago... i have tried the flafel sandwitch with iraqi bread. and the chicken shawarma wrap. they are 100/100 delicious and they taste like the ones i used to eat back home in baghdad. the chicken is seasoned just perfect, and it tastes zesty. the flafel are so crunchy and fluffy and rich. the vegetable salad that is added to the sandwitch is clean, and cut into small stripes so they wont fall off the sandwitch and u wont have a bite of tomato chunk. the prices are very fare, we took 2 flafel sandwitches, 1 chicken shawarma wrap and one pepsi for about 19$ only. i am definitly going back to this place, its close to my new house and it will be my go to restaurant. read more

Tasty shawarma, and my go-to for local delivery or take out. Everything seems fresh made, and the staff at the counter are friendly. I'd suggest ordering extra hot sauce, or adding a small desert if you get delivery. Not only is it good stuff, it seems to help your order arrive correctly. Love this place. I do sometimes suggest calling ahead to order because depending on how much of a hurry you're in/how much they have going on it can take a LIIIIIITTLE longer than you would expect. Other times it has been very efficient. They are also VERY kind and the food is FANTASTIC. My favorite falafel wraps hands down and I've tried plenty in WNY. It is also soooo affordable. One day I went in for takeout and the owner brought me a cup of tea at no charge just because I was waiting for my order and it was cold out. I just really love this place. And specifically the boulevard.... I haven't had the best experiences at the one on parkside so I stick to the boulevard where it's great. read more

Very Disappointing. Be warned that the food photos on their website are NOT their food. That is deceptive. We tried going to their Parkside Ave location (as listed on their Entertainment Book coupon) and the sign on the door said they had moved to Niagara Falls Blvd. It was a little inconvenient, but we drove over there. When we ordered we presented the coupon from the Entertainment Book and they wouldn't honor it because the address was different. That's shady since they clearly are the same restaurant since the sign on the door at Parkside said they moved. Not cool! The food was ok, but we couldn't get past everything else. The place is tiny and filthy. The floor was sticky. There are no restrooms. It was not welcoming. We won't go back. There are other places to get shwarma in Buffalo that are cleaner and have better customer service. read more

I've heard some good reviews for this place so I finally got to try it out. There are some mixed reviews on this place but I really enjoyed my lunch-and for less than $7, that's a pretty good deal. I got a mixed shawarma wrap (beef and chicken) and it was the perfect amount of food to leave me full and satisfied without being in a food coma during the middle of the day. I drive by Shawarma City every day and have been waiting for the day it opened. Finally, that day came! Shawarma City is brand new. It opened on March 8th, and I ate there on March 11th. The food was very good and authentic. Because it was opening week, I knew there would be some kinks to work out. I got a falafel wrap and Brad got a chicken shawarma. Just moved near this joint and really have been wanting to check it out for a while now. We went yesterday and ordered practically everything on the menu. Overall it was OK. For the most part things were a little on the dry side, the meat wasn't that juicy as I expected and the salads needed a little more dressing. I used to be a chef, and I'm from an Arab family so what I say about this restaurant matters. Someone seriously need to do a hygiene check on this restaurant, the chefs and owners are very lazy. I should start by telling you that I always get the mixed shawarma combo. Its not great quality in terms of the meat (maybe going early is better) but the white sauce on top is what makes it very good. (think of typical chicken over rice carts) It's that simple with me. They are pretty cheap with the sauce though and you should ask for extra. It annoys me that they'll "forget" to add it though on numerous occasions (including Skip the dishes orders). Never tried anything else so I can't tell you anything else. My brother also loves this place. read more

I placed an order with this restaurant via Doordash. I ordered the Manakish. It did not arrive. I ordered the falafel with bread plate and did not received the bread. The falafel that did arrive was stone cold. It is meant to be crispy and hot. I ordered a beef shawarma wrap with hummus on the side and did not receive the hummus. The beef was dry as a bone and there was a tiny tiny portion of it--it was basically a wrap filled with lettuce, old tomatoes, and some mystery white sauce. When I called this place, they did not answer the phone until I called THREE TIMES. When the call was finally answered, the guy on the phone said 'hello' and had me repeat myself three times before saying yes, this was the restaurant, and yes, part of my order had been cancelled. When asked why and how to get a refund, his response was 'I don't know, we just do that, call Doordash'. Bad food, TERRIBLE SERVICE, at a time when restaurants need all the patronage they can get. This place is really great. The first time we ate their was the week they opened. we had the chicken shawarma and beef shawarma wraps. The beef was flavorful but the chicken was a bit bland. Still gave them another try and we got the beef kebab dinner with rice. OMG SO GOOD!!! We loooooved it! The beef was moist and flavorful and the river was great. It came with pita and salad.
