    the menu on the wall

Sometimes the menu can be a little intimidating it's so large with choices ranging from salads to chicken and fries to swarmas. The lamb gyros are so tender and my go-to. Give em a try they have something you'll like ;)

    Menu as of April 2019

Affordable quick cheap eats! We wanted a late dinner after an evening of bar hopping. We opted for some shawarma from this food truck. I had the lamb gyro because I saw that it was a decent size despite being one of the cheapest menu options. It costed only $5 and was very big! Definitely filled me up easily. The white sauce was what made the dish yummy. Make sure to ask for a lot of white sauce because they only distributed at the top and the bottom was so dry. The hot sauce was good but not that super spicy though. Overall, the food was good but nothing amazing. Service could be better though. It took us 30 minutes to get our order because there was only 1 guy running the show at 9pm on a Friday night. He also was not attentive because he messed up our order. We got 3 lamb Saj but he gave us 3 beef saj. Furthermore, we wanted one without hot sauce but he mixed that up too....

    Sweet potato fries-- BIG portion

Huge portions! Definitely was very hungry and this hit the spot. I got the lamb gyro which was bursting with flavor and the sweet potato fries were perfection-- both are HUGE. You could feed 2 people easily but I was so hungry I ate it all. The prices are reasonable and the person helping me was super kind and helpful!! The food comes out quick. Definitely coming back :)

    All this for $8!!!

Very tasty & affordable. A new cart to Cartlandia. There are many options. I got the beef & chicken combo. Very good & filling. The only thing I didn't like was the beef. It had too much filler. Next time I will just get the chicken plate. The sauces are great! Garlic, medium spicy, and hot. Great for dipping everything in. Great pita, humus, and rice. I'll be back to try the lamb gyro... maybe next week.

Food was great but felt the owner was lying about if its halal or not. He says the chicken is. Then we tell him we ordered other stuff like beef. He says that's halal as well. Lol. Hard to tell if hed just dumb or a terrible liar. Standard cart food. Alot of the food was missing toppings like radishes and beets etc like shown in #3. Overall low price and quick service. If you eat halal only id try a diff spot

Pictured is a "half pound of brisket" for $23.00 and 60%-70% of it is just inedible fat! What was edible (3.4 ounces), was honestly disgusting and looks nothing like the photos they show online, as you can see for yourself. $11.00 for a cup of sour smelling banana pudding that was immediately tossed in the trash. $4.00 for a "chicken breast" that was literally 2 bites... This is the second and last time we will ever order from them again. I have never been more disappointed in an order of food in my entire life. We spent over $70 for the brisket as shown, a small salad with 2 bites of chicken, soggy coleslaw and sour banana pudding. Beyond unacceptable! Never again and truly hope this saves someone else from the disappointment that Reverend's BBQ truly is. Complete waste of money! Edit: It has been about 45 minutes since I ate what little of the brisket that was actually meat and not just fat, and I am extremely nauseous. Not worth the money, disappointment or naseau. Just looking at the photo alone, I wonder why I even tried eating it. Absolutely disgusting.

BEST MEAL IN PORTLAND!!!!!…read more Saw this place randomly while looking for a place to eat after a long flight. It was late and not many places were open. This place was closed but a middle eastern place that serves cheesecake was soo intriguing that i knew i needed to come back. Came back Saturday night and they had no tables and was packed. However, they tried to accommodate us so much. However, the night was in our favor. As we started to order take out, a lady was kind enough to give up her table since she was eating alone. It was a small table for 3 people but the staff was sooo accommodating i have no words. They even gave free dessert to the lady who was kind. Then luck would have it, the table next to us never showed up for their reservation so they gave us that table. Finally, we ordered. Turned out, i also got the last shawarma too. Everything happens for a reason! We also got the Saudi chicken kabsa and cheesecakes. The biggest compliment i can give is when the food came, none of us talked for a good 5-7 mins and just sat there in heaven eating. The flavors were soo unique but yet so familiar. If this is Saudi food, i have been missing out. I need to explore more sub categories of middle eastern cuisine. Best bites in Portland for us and that's all i have to describe our experience. Finally, got the Nutella cheesecake and almond caramel cheesecake. I have to say, Nutella was good but easily a skip compared to almond and caramel. Just get 2 of those and you'll be happy. The cakes itself are light and not heavy. They were great end to a great meal. This is a family owned but family loved business. You can see the love as they serve their guests but you can taste the love too. The people are soo sweet and kind and just want to serve you.
