I ordered a chicken and pork shawarma wrap with an Arizona. The total came out to $16. They do not have a tip option. There are a few seats next to the truck so you can sit and eat there if you want or take it to go. Good ambiance. Now on to the food. The shawarma was massive and nicely filled. Shawarma Time was genuinely amazing. Do not let it being a food truck fool you as it is the best shawarma I have ever had. It was amazing and I will 100% come back. The service is good although it was kind of weird seeing the same guy making my shawarma, smoking outside just a minute earlier. Nonetheless the shawarma was amazing. At the very least, they shouldn't have their store listed on Uber Eats if they're not actually available. I tried ordering online and paid $30, then waited about 20 minutes during my lunch break just for it to say "store currently unavailable." I used to love getting a chicken shawarma whenever we go to Whole Foods, but last summer I decided to get a pork shawarma instead. And I ended up getting a stomach virus that took me over a week to recover from. I went to the doctor initially thinking it was food poisoning, but she said it's more severe, diagnosed as a stomach virus. She said it's more common for this to occur in food trucks during high temp summers if they aren't sanitary with food handling. So def not coming back here again even though I used to love it, not worth the risk of needing to eat only plain food + diarrhea for an entire week. read more

I've been going the Whole Foods for quite some time now, but I've always noticed this food truck parked outside and never really bothered to check it out. Well, the other day, I finally decided to give it a try and boy, was I pleasantly surprised! The flavors of the food were absolutely amazing, especially their shawarma. It was delicious and perfectly cooked. I have to admit, I haven't explored their entire menu yet, but next time, I'm definitely going to try something different. There's so much more to indulge in! What's interesting is that it's a one-man show at this food truck. The chef/owner does everything himself, which means the waiting time may be slightly longer than usual. But let me tell you, it's totally worth the wait! The attention to detail and the care put into each dish really shines through. They were smoking in the truck, and started preparing my food.. When the food finally arrived, it was honestly nasty & definitely not worth the price. The shawarma by itself is not tasty feels like not enough flavoring, and souse is watery, absolutely bad, it's not grilled enough

Overall a decent shawarma, but it is definitely not worth the price. Two shawarmas is almost 28 dollars after tax and fee for using a credit card. It's not that high of quality to justify that price either: While the meat is good and the veggies are fresh, they put ketchup on the shawarma - yes you read that right, ketchup. Not a well balanced tahini or garlic sauce, or even a house made sauce creation like others do... nope just a big old squirt of cheap ketchup like it's a kid's bologna sandwich or hot dog or something. There is some hope however - you can ask for garlic sauce that they'll give you on the side. It's very garlicy and strong, but will at least nullify the ketchup flavor that makes you wonder why you are paying for. As it comes the shawarma is not very good unmodified, unless ketchup is totally your thing, as that flavor is so strong it overrides everything else. Sort of like putting ketchup on a steak: It's only about ketchup now, congratulations you've ruined the steak. My suggestion is to ask for the garlic sauce instead of the ketchup if you're set on trying this place. The meat and veggies actually have good flavor on their own, if not drowned out with Heinz 57. Having tried it more than once with friends and family, I can tell you the pork and chicken are very similar and some are not even able tell the difference. Overall if you have to pick, the pork is probably the more savory choice. If you want to smother it in sauce, the chicken will help soak it up better. Again, all of this is to say if you're looking to spend 14 dollars for a shawarma, and for some reason have no access to any of the other countless places in Glendale that make it a Mediterranean mecca. Unless you're held hostage at Whole Foods, you can 100% do better, and better for the money too, in the immediate area. read more
