Okay, I know I'm really late writing this review (life has been busy, but I had to come on here and talk about this place because WOW. My husband and I visited about a month ago, and I can confidently say this was the best shawarma I've ever had and I don't say that lightly. The name of this restaurant truly lives up to the hype. First, let's talk about the customer service. The owner was AMAZING so kind, welcoming, and confident in his food. You can tell he really knows his menu inside and out. He even gave us free fries, which was such a thoughtful gesture, especially since we drove all the way from Irvine. That alone set the tone for the whole experience. Now the food!! We tried three shawarmas: chicken, lamb, and beef. The chicken shawarma was my absolute favorite juicy, perfectly seasoned, and the house sauce?? SO GOOD. Second for me was the **lamb**, which was rich and flavorful. Then the beef, which was still delicious but just slightly behind the others for me. (My husband ranked them differently his favorite was the beef, then chicken, then lamb so honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them.) One thing that really stood out was the bread. He uses fresh lavash, and while you *can* choose other bread, I highly recommend sticking with it. It's soft, fresh, and honestly even better than pita. Also don't skip the drinks! He had this basil mint tea with cinnamon and cloves, and it was incredible. Refreshing, slightly spiced, and tasted super clean and healthy. I literally drank the whole thing immediately. The restaurant itself was very clean, smelled amazing, and we were greeted right away when we walked in. Delicious food friendly service. We ordered wraps and fries all were delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful, JacobV educated us on the ordering process and gave us suggestions for next time. He and the other staff made an effort to get to know us. There are some tables to eat there but it's kinda small. There was plenty of parking. I will return and order another wrap. read more

I ate here on a Wednesday and from Thursday to Monday, I had an upset stomach. Employee was nice. Small parking lot for the plaza. Might be difficult to find parking on busy times. Food definitely was not fresh. The hummus was very dry for some reason. The rice was also not fresh. On a good note, I lost some weight. read more

I can't deny, one of the best shawarmas I have had in a while. They do have a lamb shawarma, which is somewhat a rarity these days. I got the Lamb Shawarma Wrap with lavash and it was great. Very classic Armenian style, nothing extra, just the meat, veggies, herbs, and the sauce. They use real charcoal for their grills so I am definitely coming back to try more. read more

Not horrible But compared to the rest of the shawarma spots in the city I have to be honest here of course. Lacking ingredients. Shawarma was there yes beef and chicken, basically with lettuce. At least throw a few tomatoes in there. Sauce is mid, not much taste going on, definitely not spice. The wrap itself was a bit tough to chew. Hummus was mid, just felt like it was lacking in each part. Don't see this place lasting that long, the competition is too fierce. Of all the shawarmas in Glendale, I think this is now my favorite one. Went here for a quick grab and go for lunch and ordered the chicken wrap and it was so good. The chicken was super tender and the sauce was the perfect addition to the wrap. The man at the counter was super sweet and friendly and makes you want to come back and support this business. Honestly, really disappointing experience at Best Shawarma in Glendale. I paid around $16-$17 per wrap for two meals plus drinks, and my total came out to about $40 and change--and I left still starving. The wraps were mostly lettuce with barely any meat. For that price, it's just not acceptable. You expect a shawarma wrap to be filling, not feel like a light salad rolled in bread. I genuinely don't understand how this place has such high ratings. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but based on my visit, the portions are way off for what they charge. Definitely not worth the price. read more

So I don't usually write reviews, but I HAD to for this place. Everything we got was incredible. The beef plate was perfectly seasoned and so flavorful, the pork fries were next level (seriously so good), and the dolma and tzatziki were fresh and delicious. Every single thing we tried was a hit, but what really made this place special was the customer service! They were so kind, welcoming, and genuinely cared about us having a good experience. By far my favorite shawarma place in LA. It's a nice hidden spot and they give you plenty of food for the price you pay, I usually get a lamb plate. The OMG fries are good but I don't think it is worth the money. There are a few tables and it seems like most people usually get take away so going down and getting seated is super easy and convenient. It is a fast casual restaurant so you order at their register and then pay and then they bring you the food at your table. They have a TV playing turkish(?) music videos which I found amusing but it's not that loud so you can have a nice casual dinner here in peace. read more

We have eaten here literally weekly thus far in a four week stay - does this convey how happy we are with the food here? Especially both the chicken and beef lule - super juicy, seasoned and flavorful, cooked fresh to order - absolutely cannot go wrong. Chicken kebab is also exquisitely tender. The falafels were very large, a smaller fist size, and though they were fresh and flavorful, i did find them a little on the dry side. I'd definitely come back to try more on the menu, it's in a very convenient area of Glendale and the 134. Needs Improvement Unfortunately, the experience wasn't great. Everything is hidden behind a door, so you can't see the shawarma or how it's being prepared, which raises some concerns about transparency and freshness. I went during lunch time and the new prepared beef is ready behind the doors, seeing that I asked if it's ready, they said yes and also it hasn't been cut yet.. But to my disappointment, they ended up wrapping the shawarma with what seemed like leftover beef from the previous day. The pieces were clearly smaller cuts and not freshly sliced, which felt very misleading and disappointing then I checked to see if they used the new prepared meet and saw they didn't.
