We have complete confidence in him as our endocrinologist. Unfortunately, our experiences with the office manager, Debbie, have been very disappointing. She has consistently been dismissive, disrespectful, and lacking compassion when communicating with us. One example involved my mother's care. When Dr. Mach recommended that she switch to a new insulin pump, Debbie told my mother not to do it, which was confusing and seemed to contradict the doctor's recommendation. In my own case, I requested that the office submit a new insurance authorization. Debbie repeatedly told me it would be denied and refused to process it. I explained that, even if it were denied, I needed the denial so I could file an appeal with my insurance company. Despite that, she still refused. I eventually contacted my medical plan myself, worked through the process, and was able to get the authorization approved without the office's help. Managing a chronic medical condition is stressful enough, and patients should be treated with respect and compassion. My interactions with Debbie have consistently left me feeling frustrated and anxious. The contrast between the excellent care provided by Dr. Mach and the experience with the office staff is significant. We truly value Dr. Mach and would like to continue receiving our care from him. However, the ongoing issues with the office management have made us consider finding another endocrinologist. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future patients have an experience that reflects the quality of care Dr. Mach provides.

I made an appointment here after my GP suggested I see an endocrinologist for some weight issues…read more I'm in good shape, I exercise 4+ days a week, but was having an issue so I started reading reviews and getting references. My research and the fact that Dr. Stein's office is about 2 miles from my house led me to make an appointment. First, the first available appointment was over four weeks out. I understand busy, but the latest appointment in the day was around 3pm, and the office was not even open 5 days a week - only 3-4 depending on the week. So I made the appointment. They sent me a giant packet of paperwork to fill out, which I never got around to opening because of my busy court schedule. Next comes a client with an emergency on a Friday - I had to drive out of town to stop a foreclosure sale. The 30 hour work-weekend caused me to completely space my appointment. Monday rolls around (the day of the afternoon appointment), and at about noon my phone rings...it is the office manager, calling to get my insurance information. I informed her that I had a client with an emergency, that I had to run out of town, and that I would have to speak with her another day (I was just out for a quick court recess). Even after speaking with her, I didn't remember that I had an appointment. The next thing i heard about it was a bill in the mail on Wednesday, barely two days later! The office wanted $75 for my missed appointment. Really upset, I called the office (obviously closed, normal business hours do not apply) and left a message stating that I didn't even realize I had missed the appointment, that it had been an emergency, and that I didn't appreciate the bill. Instead of a call back, I received a copy of their cancellation policy (that I hadn't signed or been informed of) with writing on it that said "called to confirm, no answering machine" (not true, as previously stated she actually SPOKE with me that day! Also, I have had that # for over 10 years, so please!) and "sorry, you still owe the money!" Of course I called. Of course I was really unhappy at this point. When I calmly informed the office manager that I hadn't signed any agreement or been informed of any cancellation policy, she threatened to take me to court over $75. I ended that conversation stating I was not going to pay it, and to please stop sending me bills. Days pass, and I get another phone call. It is the office calling to tell me that if I make another appointment and keep it, they will waive the $75. After threatening to take me to court??!! No thanks, I would rather not do business with you. I asked the office manager to have Dr. Stein directly, as at this point we had a serious issue and I wanted to speak with the Doctor and business owner directly. The office manager stated she would set up a time when we could talk. I never received another phone call, but started receiving "balance due" letters threatening to take me to collections about every 2 weeks. It finally took me sending what was basically a cease and desist letter to make them stop. I can't speak to Dr. Stein's medical ability or skill, but his office is not at all run in a professional manner.

And trust me, she's not in any way helpful or friendly, but shame on him for telling her not to say anything and shame on her for letting him do that. She actually apologized. Also, it's super odd to me that they asked for CC information in order to make an appointment. I've never had an office ask for that before. What's also odd is that they didn't even ask for anything to confirm that I was the credit card holder.

Words cannot express how thankful and grateful that am I to have such an amazing Endocrinologist on my medical team. COVID-19 Procedures: Before your appointment starts, you will call them to notify of your arrival. The front door will then be unlocked. You will be asked the basic COVID-19 questions and given a temperature check. Afterwards, you will proceed with your medical appointment. Dr. Spambalg and team adheres to all COVID-19 practices (gloves, masks, hand sanitizer and staying 6ft apart). Side Note: Dr. Spambalg is out-of-network and so, you will be paying out of pocket for the medical visits/teleconferences, but it is worth it. The good part is that your medical insurance covers the medications. Ever since I started working with Dr. Spambalg and her staff in October 2019, both my life and health has literally and drastically changed for the better. Just when I thought I had lost all hope of ever controlling my two major, chronic medical conditions, Dr. Spambalg came to the rescue. Her expertise, knowledge, guidance and compassionate care showed me the way. She has definitely made me a firm believer that I can control my two major, chronic medical conditions. As long as you put in the work and effort, you will see the results. She will provide you guidance and advice along with the right medications (adjusted as needed based on your lab work, which also helps keep you accountable). If you need additional medical help outside her expertise, she will also refer you to them as well. All medical visits and notes will also be sent to your doctor(s) to keep in them loop. Dr. Spambalg truly cares and wants you to get better. Best of all, she is very punctual, but never rush you. She will listen and address all your medical concerns before you end the session with her. If you have any further questions or inquiries, they are just a phone call away. With Dietician Joanne Lamberty, she was also caring and compassionate. With her guidance and advice, she gave me the necessary tools that I needed to learn and understand which foods were good and bad against my two major, chronic medical conditions. She also taught me how to properly count carbs and how to log in my caloric intake via MyFitnessPal app. Even though she has retired as of January 2020, as needed, Joanne will still be a phone call away. Yesenia and Valerie are also wonderful too! Both ladies are kind and professional. Yesenia is fantastic with showing you tips and tricks on how to make injections and finger pricking less painful and scary. I was terrified at first, but now, it is a normal routine for me. Valerie is also awesome with handling all the administrative aspect (appointment reminders/setups, ensuring all medical billings goes through, medication refills and lab work sent to the appropriate labs, etc). Yesenia also shares that part of the administrative work too, but she handles more of the pre-examinations before you meet with Dr. Spambalg. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Spambalg for all your endocrinology needs. She is truly the best of the best! Once again, thank you so much to Dr. Spambalg, Joanne Lamberty, Yesenia and Valerie for all that you do! Until our next medical appointment!

Right after surgery she said they took one "and a little bit", then in the following days tells my family member 3 were taken out. She also failed to send my family member home taking calcium after the surgery (standard procedure at the best in the country Norman Parathryroid center in Tampa, we have a family member who had parathyroid surgery here). She waited for calcium to get low and have symptoms before treating rather than trying to prevent from going low in the first place. Since then we have had nothing but issues and almost a year later now my family member is suffering from hypoparathyroidism and having to take calcium everyday to prevent symptoms of low calcium, which the internet says this is usually a result of damage caused during surgery. I am convinced she is the cause of all of this. The said she had to dig around and go almost to the spine to find one and I think she damaged something causing the patient to now have a life long issue. The endocrinologist are now saying the parathyroid may never come back and my family member may have to be on calcium for the rest of their life (risking kidney stones) or medication which is a shot every day to manage the PTH levels. On top of that, Dr Goldfarb's surgery left a huge noticeable scar on the neck of the patient. We are now questioning whether the surgery was even necessary. Prior to this, there were no symptoms no issues besides slightly high calcium and slightly elevated PTH showing up on bloodwork and now it is a daily struggle to manage and no doctor in town seems to know what is going on. Dr Goldfarb was cocky and over confident and dismissive when questions were asked about difficulties with parathyroid surgeries. She was also not proactive in working with the endocrinologist to help with these issues. I would never send anyone to this surgeon and certainly would NEVER allow her to cut my neck open. People need to be aware that parathyroid surgery isn't as simple as doctors make it out to be. I just wish my family member would have gone to UCLA or even Norman Parathyroid Center in Tampa or maybe didn't really even need the surgery to begin with but...surgeons make money off of surgery, dont they?

Your first appointment with Stephanie isn't a rushed 15-minute visit. She spends about 90 minutes getting to know you, going through your complete health history and performing an incredibly thorough review of your labs. She looks at everything--from hormones and sexual health to more than 130 biomarkers--so she can understand the whole picture instead of just treating symptoms. My goal was simple: I wanted to optimize my health and get every biomarker moving in the right direction. At my initial appointment, my ferritin level was extremely low, and I also wanted guidance on testosterone replacement therapy and whether peptides were appropriate for me. From the moment we sat down, I knew I had found someone special. Stephanie is one of the most authentic healthcare providers I've ever met. She genuinely listens. She cares. You never feel like you're just another patient on her schedule. I always leave feeling heard, encouraged, and confident that she is completely invested in my health. She developed a personalized plan for me that included tesamorelin along with addressing several other areas of my health. Since working with her, I've leaned out significantly, my labs continue to trend in the right direction, my liver markers have steadily improved, and my cardiovascular biomarkers are moving in an incredibly positive direction as well. We review everything monthly, and I honestly look forward to every appointment because it's exciting to see the progress. What speaks volumes to me is that I've now referred several of my own SoftWave Vitality clients to Stephanie. Every one of them has thanked me for the introduction, and many have gone on to refer their own friends and family. That says everything about the level of care she provides. One moment, however, had nothing to do with lab work or peptides, and it's something I'll never forget. I told Stephanie about a hair transplant I had the previous year--a 17-hour experience that was incredibly painful. Even though I wanted another procedure to improve my hairline, I was honestly too afraid to go through it again. She looked at me and simply said, "You deserve to have the hairline you want." She encouraged me to schedule a consultation with Dr. Ziering in Beverly Hills because she believed he was the very best. I trusted her completely, so I made the appointment. Yesterday, I had my hair transplant, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. I truly don't think I would have done it if Stephanie hadn't gently encouraged me to take that first step. It's rare to find a practitioner who combines exceptional clinical knowledge with genuine compassion and authenticity. Stephanie does exactly that. She has helped me improve my health, given me confidence, and has become someone I trust completely with my wellness journey. If you're looking for someone who will truly partner with you, take the time to understand your body, and genuinely care about your long-term health, I cannot recommend Stephanie Wolf and the Novus Center highly enough.
