BUT, as soon as I voiced personal needs and/or opinions different than hers AND the "guidelines" set forth by my insurance provider, her demeanor  changed. I was told that my "unwillingness to take certain medications and to participate in wellness surveys and screenings would make her look bad to the insurance provider."  I employed Ms. Lacefield to provide support,  expertise, and treatment for MY health and wellness and to prescribe what is BEST for ME.   Insurance is only to assist me in ACCESSING and PAYING for that medical expertise and treatment.  Insurance does not get to dictate MY medical treatment.  I DO.  Ms. Lacefield's priority is to the insurers' protocols rather than to what is best for the patient. Dr. Carey Lacefield is not upholding her self-sworn oath  to prescribe only beneficial treatments, according to his/her abilities and judgment; to refrain from causing harm or hurt; and to live an exemplary personal and professional life. You as the patient, will NOT be her priority as my experience verifies. I do not recommend her.

I was there to have my failed root canal pulled. They charged me $250 for a 3D xray - I was led to believe that was needed to complete the extraction. I had to pay up front and they said my insurance would not pay for it. The dentist examined me went over my X-ray and said it needed extracted. i knew that already! They were unwilling to extract it that day and fast forward to now. I had difficulty with this office again in scheduling. I gave up and said send me my 3D xray. I then found a reputable Surgeon and took my 3D $250 xray to him. He informed me it was unnecessary and a simple xray is fine. It was then I learned that this office takes advantage of people in pain by pushing expensive unnecessary scans. so if I were going to get implants, this is the last place on earth I would get them. This office has problems keeping Dentists, they have different people every time you inquire.

Please do not bring your family members to this hellhole…read more I witnessed patients lying in bed, naked, uncovered, and wailing in pain. They are giving end-of-life patients Tylenol for their pain instead of morphine. It happened to our family member, a U. S. Air Force veteran, and it was nothing short of traumatizing to have to see him suffering like this. We were lucky enough to have been able to get him out of there as soon as we noticed the horrible neglect. He died peacefully and pain free at home with the help of home health care and a hospice nurse. Now Sienna Extended Care is dragging their feet to refund us the money for almost three months of pre-paid care fees ($18,000) which they insisted on having paid to them before they would even see the patient. We are grieving over the fact that we wish we had known earlier and didn't rely on "professionals" who told us that this was a reputable facility. Please do your research before entrusting your vulnerable loved ones to just anyone.

The Residents can order their own menu items for meals. There are all kinds of craft & music activities that they are encouraged to participate in. I've been a patient there for probably 20 years. Why didn't she tell me they don't do root canals!? Well, that's not their normal conversation. I let her know that was poor customer service. now that's cost my husband days waiting for this appt, when he could have gotten in someplace where they do root canals. She argued with me and wouldn't let me finish a sentence. I hope Dr. Drew sees this and reaps her a new attitude. Customer Service is priority and on top of it, she gladly removed my next appt. Go someplace else.
