So obviously, both times, I have not been very close to City Center. However, I have been to City Center a few times in the last month and I am IMPRESSED with how much it is growing and expanding. I probably wouldn't have came to this park if it hadn't been for the farmer's market. I am in my early 20s and have no idea what to do at a park. Despite the farmer's market being very busy, there was still plenty of parking--I was quite impressed with the layout of the parking lot in particular. So I park my Jeep and head over. There were all kinds of vendors; food, handmade items, etc.. Then they had this massive play area for kids to enjoy. If you went a bit further, they also had a gazebo with tables. At the time of my visit, this was being occupied by some kind of reunion. It was a massive area so it is perfect for something like a reunion or party. They also did have some kind of splash area. Parks, especially ones with playgrounds, are not really targeted for my demographic--that being a single woman in her 20s with no children or even a dog. I wouldn't say this would be somewhere I would go out of my way for unless there is another fun event happening. I did enjoy seeing the cute dogs.

We had about 70 people attending and about 40 of them were kids ages 0-19. There was something fun for all ages! (Ok, to be honest the 2 month old didn't really say she had fun; but my 5 month old enjoyed laying on a blanket watching everyone around her so even the babies enjoyed it!) With it being a family reunion I had family in town from California, Arizona, and all around Utah and everyone was way impressed with all the amenities they had at this park! The families from Arizona were especially jealous; I guess where they live they don't have cool parks. We started off playing all over the park equipment and with us being there so early before the splash pad opened; we had the park to ourselves until 9:45am! Once the splash pad opened the kids transitioned to the water area and spent hours playing all over. We rented 2/3 of the large pavilion and were able to fit all of us easily under our part of the pavilion. If you need an outdoor area to gather lots of people; consider renting the pavilion! I think it was only like $50 (but I can't remember). We then had a big game of Kickball in their festival field area and then moved over towards the Pickleball courts where we had a Pickleball Tournament! We had teams of ages 12-61 playing so if you're looking for a mix between tennis and ping-pong: Pickleball is for you! Heads up: Bring your own equipment! We were prepared and had all we needed, but don't expect to rent out any equipment at the park. Also: Bring a canopy/tent or some type of shade! The pavilions are great; but if you want to get closer to the splash pad, bring your own shade! Overall: The day was amazing! One of my nephews has special needs and is in a wheelchair and he was able to ride on swings and other play equipment because they are "all needs accessible". I really liked that!

While my 10 and 8 year olds fulfill their mountaineering dreams my little can bring me peace swinging on the baby secure swings and preschool fire truck slide. This park also provides basketball courts, large grass field, stage, bathrooms, water fountains (yes, more than one), spout, and a large pavilion with picnic tables. It's one of our go-to family gathering, birthday party, and picnic parks.

The toddler area is fun for older toddlers but there's not a lot of space for little to crawl outside the ballpit, because there's a ton of adults watching their babies. There's also a lot of older kids that enter and start jumping into the ball pit, which makes me worry about somebody getting hurt. If the space was bigger and it was more clear that it was only for little, it would be better. It's generally clean but compared to the one in Spanish fork it doesn't seem as well maintained. I definitely think this is a great spot for 6 years +. Anybody who has kids lower in age should expect to have to go in and follow their kid around.

I…read moreknow the wood was getting old and left splinters in your hands, but it help a special place in my child heart. Luckily, the new construction was worth the wait! They kept the "castle park" feel (that's what i called it as a kid), but made it more all-abilities friendly. It's well built, cute and fun for all ages. The bathrooms are decent. They have automated flushing toilets and faucets, no mirrors, but functional and open. There are baseball fields across the parking lot as well. Great park.

I grew up coming to Discovery Park and it will forever hold a place in my heart for the "cool"…read morememories! I "wood-n't" be lying if I said it's lost it's cool and while it has shadows of the past with fun equipment all of it is waaay too hot on a sunny day! My 2 year old tried climbing on the equipment and started to scream when she sat down trying to go down a slide that was waaay too hot! Another young toddler had the same thing happen to her. We arrived at the roughly same time as 3 other family and all of us left within 10 minutes because the equipment was too hot. To some extent I get it's out of anyone's control but there is playground equipment that is less conductive of heat creating a better experience for everyone.

There is something here for everyone…read more They have lots of basketball courts (I think 6). What I love is that the hoops are adjustable so my young kids can make baskets. They have six pickleball courts that are always in fantastic condition. They also have a couple of tennis courts. The playground itself is super fun. My kids (3, 5, and 8) love climbing on all the different ropes and apparatuses and such as. They also have the little zipline things that you can sit on. Definitely a hit for youngsters and adults alike. In the summer they even have shave ice available for purchase. The Murdock Canal Trail goes right next to the park so you can go on a bike ride or walk right up to the park.

It was so convenient for the ones with kids. We could play and watch our kids at the same time. Not all parks have the playgrounds right next to the courts. Loved it here!!
