Practically had it all to ourselves. What a nice stroll. Sidewalk is clear of snow, except for the bridges. This truly is one of American Fork's best parks. Oh yes, I almost forgot. Yes there was flowing water in the creek. You know, the Dry Creek! And I have no idea why it says "Closed Now" online. Parking lot is open.

While my 10 and 8 year olds fulfill their mountaineering dreams my little can bring me peace swinging on the baby secure swings and preschool fire truck slide. This park also provides basketball courts, large grass field, stage, bathrooms, water fountains (yes, more than one), spout, and a large pavilion with picnic tables. It's one of our go-to family gathering, birthday party, and picnic parks.

There are quite a few trails and pathways that lead to the north side of Utah lake and I've seen people frequent them. I wouldn't recommend the pond for swimming , but it's great for some casual fishing and watching ducks swim around. There are lots of shaded bench areas as well and also areas I've seen people set up hammocks to relax. Quite easy to get to and free street parking. A nice little getaway from the hustle and bustle of Saratoga, Lehi and American Fork.

The playground is in train shape-even surrounded by railroad crossing signs and a bridge. There are a few slides, rock structures to climb on and a nearby bench for caregivers to watch at a safe distance. There is a large open field as well-I saw a soccer game going on when we visited. A pavilion is adjacent to the park as well-perfect for birthday parties. And a parking lot with ample space for all the park goers prevents street crowding for the neighbors that share the road with the park.

And even a volleyball court to boot! Did I mention bathrooms? This park has plenty of large, mature trees-the crunchy falls leaves all around them made it feel like I was walking through a movie set. Who doesn't love the smell of fall leaves? There is a good amount of open space for running around-and a modest hill that I'm sure hosts some young sledders in the winter. That's my kind of sledding! If you're hosting a party or a picnic, there is a nice pavilion available. A decent sized playground area will keep the kids entertained and the gender neutral bathrooms are much appreciated! Up for a game of volleyball? Sure, you can do that too! Of all the great features of this park, my favorite is the Free Little Library up at the top of the hill. Not technically a part of the park, but I'm gonna include it anyway. Take a book, leave a book. Sit under a beautiful tree and read. I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon.

There is lots of shade provided from the trees, and there's a cute little stream that runs along next to it! There is also an area to play "frisbee golf" within the park. However, the goals are just painted poles with numbers attached. This park is perfect for playing sports, hosting a family reunion, eating a picnic, or resting in the shade on a Sunday afternoon. It's also a fun area to walk around, as there are 2 bridges over the stream, and the Cedar HIlls Parkway Trail runs right through it. It's nothing to be utterly amazed by, but it's a nice park for what it's worth.

Once through the paths, you come out to the small-ish lake where there's a path that leads you all the way around, with plenty of opportunities to go back out to another path. It was semi-busy when we went during a weekday afternoon, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I'd like to come back with my bike and to bring my dog back to possibly swim. I saw a swimming area, but people were fishing nearby, and I knew that my dog would ruin their game! Lovely for a solo / family or date outing on a sunny afternoon or sunsetting evening.
