I am usually never a person to leave a negative review- but this is the WORST salon to go to. I've…read moregiven them multiple chances - all bad experiences- but my last visit was the WORST. I went just wanting a trim with long layers (you can see how long my hair was in the picture below). The hairstylist and I agreed on taking off an INCH, which she showed me the length with her fingers, and I thought to myself- wow that's not even a lot off! As she was cutting my hair though- I noticed that my hair was near my SHOULDERS! I even said something and looked scared and the hairdresser just told me "oh it looks short but when you stand up it will be long. (SPOILER: she had no idea what she was doing and cut off 5 inches of my beautiful long hair). Then I paid extra for a blowout, and once again, the hairdresser had NO IDEA what she was doing. I have naturally curly hair, so it takes more effort to blow out my hair straight. However, she wasn't even using the correct tools at ALL. She was using a regular square brush, and a regular blow dryer (with no attachments on it). So basically there was no tension at all, and my hair was SO frizzy. I was sitting there for NO JOKE 2 hours, almost falling asleep in my chair, as her method of "blowout" clearly isn't good. When she was done, my hair was still WET underneath, and looked like absolute SHIT (pic below). I was so shocked at my hair. The owner Lisa walked by and said "oh it looks so good!" , which as the owner, she should have seen what a hot mess it was and tried to fix it. Needless to say, I still had to pay for the cut and "blowout" (even though I didn't even get a real blowout)! The last picture is my TODAY. I was getting a Brazilian blowout at another salon, and my hairdresser there looks at my hair and laughs and says "who cut your hair?" And I told them "mirragio" and she said "it looks like shit! Let me take a picture for you" and took the picture below. I was HORRIFIED. It is so jagged and uneven and I am so embarrassed to be walking around like this! Overall, do NOT go here! This salon is empty for a reason they have NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!!! SAVE YOURSELF! (The only one who knows what she is doing is the nice lady who washes hair!!).

I found this sitting in my drafts from last year and never hit post. I visited this salon June 2025…read morefor an updo for my engagement party. I had never been, however it is local to my house and when I called to ask about their updo services they assured me I'd be in good hands. I described what I wanted to the receptionist when making the appointment, explained I have naturally curly hair and would like my natural texture incorporated into the style. She told me no problem. I showed up to the appointment with my hair washed and styled in my natural texture per the receptionists instructions. I was booked with the owner of the salon. I showed her a reference photo, my hair was dry, down, and had product in it, ready to be styled into a "messy" curly updo. I wanted my natural hair maintained in the updo as it was June, humid, and heat does not agree with my hair in those conditions (frizz, styles don't hold, etc.). I recall being one of her first clients of the day, she was an older woman and was very nice. However she did not do my hair how I asked at all. She showed up a few minutes late to our appointment, her staff offered me coffee/water while I waited which was nice. I showed her the photo, and she almost immediately began dragging a brush through my hair brushing out my natural texture. I was stunned. She's the professional, not me so I didn't speak up, this was a mistake. I ended up with a very tight and polished updo with no trace of my natural curls. The entire appointment took less than an hour. She was kind enough to use the decorative pins I had brought, but my hair was not at all like the photo I showed her. I was extremely disappointed and upset. Due to the high stress and tight timeline of the day (my engagement party) I simply didn't have time to speak my mind and let her try and redo it. To manipulate my hair back to the original state would have required a full wash to remove all the hairspray and product, restyling with heat, unpinning, and I was already stretched thin on time as she was late to the appointment to begin with. I paid, tipped, and nearly cried when I got into my car. When I look at the professional photos from that day I literally cringe. My hair was pinned so tightly that it wasn't something that I could attempt to fix myself without making it worse, and again I didn't have the time. Since she used heat on the 2 face framing pieces in the front they immediately frizzed up, and uncurled creating an awkward shape that I ended up pushing behind my ears all day. I will attach the reference photo and the final product below. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I advise anyone interested in special event styles to do a trial here first. Or skip this salon all together. My maid of honor paid for my hair as a gift for the party, and looking back I wish I would have just done it myself, or spoke up the second she dragged a brush through my natural hair and told her to stop. I hate looking at the photos of myself from that day. I look like I have a slick back in the front facing photos and from the side the updo created an awkward shape on the back of my head. I take full accountability for not speaking up during the appointment. However I do think some responsibility falls on the woman who did my hair. I told her when I sat down that my natural texture with a few enhancements was what I was looking for. I have had updos before where the stylist will curl the pieces sticking out to enhance them. She briefly glanced at the photo and immediately began brushing my hair. Which if you have curly hair you know creates a poofy poodle like texture that requires a wash and restyle to get back to normal. It felt like she did what she thought would look best instead of doing what I asked. Extremely disappointing.

She's…read moresuper talented and the only one I've trusted to cut and color (balayage) my long straight hair. With AP, I experimented and went from nearly hair down to my butt to just an inch or two past shoulder length. I've also tried a lob and long/wavy with bangs. She's extremely patient with hair cuts and cuts a little bit at a time until I've decided that it's short enough. She also remembers past conversations (even with 6 months+ in between) and the fact that I like my hair low maintenance. She takes that into consideration when giving advice for cuts / color, and is honest about what can and cannot be accomplished in one visit while maintaining healthy hair. Though I ought to go in more often, my color still looks good and naturally blended after nearly a year without touch ups. I find AP not only to be a hair magician, but also really down to earth and easy to talk to. She's an artist who knows her medium and I appreciate her work. Recently, she, Cristen and Lucia opened up their own place, Enlighten Hair Studio, and I am following her from Serene to the new location. I had the opportunity to get a hair cut at Enlighten last weekend and found it to be a great place to chill with a clean, modern meets artsy vibe. They're located on the second floor with ample parking in the lot downstairs. I took the stairs but noticed there's also an elevator next to the place.
