I desperately needed a haircut since a fractured femur kept me home. Used to use Salon on Lake but it was no longer there. So went to one in the shopping center where Ancient Ginger is. Bought a Groupon for single process, glaze and cut. They said a single process is really just a root touch up and that if I want it all over it will be additional $20. My hair was long but they cut it just above my shoulders so not to waste the color. I thought the extra $20 would not be charged. I was wrong. A single process is a hair coloring service that applies one color to the entire head, while a root touch-up is a single process application that specifically targets and colors only the new hair growth at the roots While I was getting shampooed I told the girl that I am supposed to get a glaze. So she asked stylist and told me it was done with the color. Hmmm why didn't she say that while applying the color? Overall they were friendly but I feel that I got ripped off. read more

So disappointed I thought I found a new hair salon however I wasn't entirely pleased with the results a day later I contacted them and left a message to see if we could correct the problem. I was even willing to pay additional however no so sorry that they are unable to accommodate their new clients. read more

Called to change an apt for a keratin no one picked up on a sat... left a message but no one bothered to call me back... called again the next day and someone picked up and said they wld have the stylist call me back when they were done with their client but once again no one called ...rude people... terrible customer service... have been here before and staff is rude... read more

Just because you change the name of your business, does not mean you have better service! I purchased a "groupon" 8 years ago, used it, and was ok with the service. Fast forward 2023, I purchased another "groupon" made the appointment and a half hour later, I received a phone call from the owner saying I could not use the "groupon" because I had purchased one "8" years ago? First off, no where in there ad does it say 1 groupon per lifetime! Second, she would not allow me to use the money I already paid towards any service! She told me, quite rudely to get my money back from groupon! I contacted groupon, and they didn't want to hear it. I actually had to go the route of reversing the charge! It took a month, but I finally got my money back! The moral of the story is, don't deal with this business, they have ZERO customer service! read more

First and last time at that place. Took my kids for a haircut. 2 different ppl did their hair. My daughter had her long hair cut because she is donating her hair. I let the pictures of my two kids speak for themselves. read more

I made an appointment over a week ago for a specific stylist. I was told to show up a few minutes early to get shampooed. I show up 15 before my 2:30 appointment and the stylist I made the appointment with is just starting a haircut and blow dry on a customer with very long hair. I was told everyone was showing up late today. BS, they stuck this person in ahead of me and told me "oh it's going to be awhile or someone else can take you". I don't understand or perhaps they don't understand, I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH A SPECIFIC STYLIST AT A SPECIFIC TIME OVER A WEEK AGO. They were aloof about it, they didn't even care. So now I am going to my boyfriends local Christmas party looking like s**t and you can be sure I will let everyone know how I was treated at Salon 230. I have been going here for several years, and it is my go-to whenever I need a wash/cut/blowout. The prices are very reasonable, too. Gina, the owner, has done my balayage before, and she is always very professional, patient, attentive to what I'd like, and offers different options for me to choose from in order for my hair to turn out just the way I'd like. Gina also did my hair for my senior prom when I was in high school, and I could not have asked for better. She is amazing. Salon 230 is my go-to as it has a friendly atmosphere where I know I will be listened to and leave with great results! read more

I scheduled an appointment today and arrived on time, to only sit in a chair for 35 minutes until I was assisted. I planned on using a groupon promotion I had found to do a color glaze to my hair. I was informed that the promotion was just for a clear glaze and for what I wanted, it would not suffice. the nice receptionist helped me pick a color I wanted. I have never done a glaze before so I wasn't sure what I was doing and was relying on the knowledge of the salon workers. I made it clear that I wanted a glaze and not to dye my hair. As choosing the color from the book, the lady (who was suppose to do my hair) kept making comments towards me. I did not appreciate her tone. After I decided on a color, I was told that the color I chose was a dye (??? Did I not make it clear I wanted a GLAZE?). Since I waited for 30+ minutes, I had time to figure out a different groupon combination to lower the price. When explaining the combination to both the receptionist and hair dresser, the hair dresser dismissed me and said in a rude tone "whatever she wants.", huffed, and walked away. I was in disbelief that someone could talk to a customer this way. I looked at the receptionist (who has been nice/helpful this whole time) and said that I no longer wanted to be served because the hair dresser made it clear she didn't want to serve me. I left and will never go back. I am disgusted that someone could be in a business that is suppose to make people feel confident when walking out of the salon door, yet I walked out feeling defeated and low self esteem. read more

Had my hair done by Fran and she did a great job. The color and cut are perfect and exactly what I wanted! I will absolutely go back!!! Not sure why this place has ever had bad reviews because everyone was super nice and Liz was super sweet!! read more

I had the worst experience with this salon and very upset with their results and customer service and attitude. The young girl in the front does not know how to deal with customer, she gets very furious and can't tolerate problems with clients. I got the Groupon hair tone/, gloss and hair cut deal. They did not do the gloss properly, because they forgot to wash my hair from the start so when they put the gloss on me they had to wash my hair with shampoo which took the tone out and made no difference in my hair. (They were suppose to only do a rinse after putting the tone) but they didn't rinse Bc from the start they didn't even wash my hair with shampoo.. mind blowing. They tried to charge me for single process color when they only tone the bottom of my hair.. when I really had to tone my whole head. They didn't even analyze or look at my hair in the beginning, the first thing they did was bring me into the shampoo sink and wet my hair, they have no idea what they are doing. They had to ask each other what color and formula to use on me and I just wanted to do a simple tone to get rid of my caramel brass from prior highlights. It was not the money that was the issue, it was the way I was treated meanwhile my mom and all her friends go there for blow outs. I will not be coming here again. They do good blow outs only. The one young women in the front has major attitude problems and she is very unprofessional. She could not handle the situation and she would be fuming in her face to me like she was going to blow up on me.
