When I arrived, I was informed that my appointment was supposedly at 10:00 AM--which is unequivocally incorrect. At no point did the salon confirm this appointment with me, nor did anyone contact me when I was marked as a 'no‑show' at 10:00. I was then told they could accommodate either a haircut or a color, but not both. As I had an event later that evening, this was not a viable option. The entire purpose of booking the appointment was to receive both services. Prior to posting this review, I attempted to resolve the issue directly with the owner. She responded by stating that 'Megan said she spoke with you on a Saturday and booked a 10:00 AM color/retouch and a 12:00 PM haircut.' This is simply false. Megan is my usual stylist, but she did not schedule this appointment. Another staff member answered the call, and I had to explain in detail what I needed so she could take notes for Megan. The owner then 'apologized that I missed my appointment,' which was both inaccurate and dismissive. I did not miss my appointment. The salon made an error and has taken no responsibility for it. To have the owner try to gaslight me into thinking this was my fault is going too far. I can't give my hard earned money to an establishment that would think it is ok to do that to anyone. This experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional, especially given my previously positive visit. I thought I found salon with a stylist that finally got my hair right. Even though the stylist was great the first time, the treatment the second time and the treatment to me by the owner is unacceptable. I guess the search is back on for another salon.

Beware: My daughter went to Razing Hair to get her hair lightened, she brought in a picture of very…read morelight hair so they could see what she wanted. She unfortunately ended up with mousy brown, grey, mud colored hair. She also came home and all the dark dye was left all around her face and through her roots. She had to plead to have them try and fix it. When she went back they (mainly the owner Chris) were rude and short tempered with her. They even said if you just keep washing it, it will lighten up, which means they only used semi-permanent color. They did blow it out and she was hoping she could live with it, but the next day she was crying that they ruined her hair. I then tried calling the owner to discuss having my daughter get her money back, since she was charged $245 for them to destroy her hair. Chris not only was rude and sassy, to say the least, he hung up on me twice and when he finally calmed down and would talk and not scream at me, he said he is sure the only reason my daughter hated her hair was because I told her she looked terrible and then of course he hung up. Even though I was completely disgusted by his comments, I called Razing Hair back to try one more time to rationalize with Chris, but he wouldn't get on the phone, however, when he finally called me back he said he searched and found a picture of my daughter on social media that looked like she loved her hair after it was fixed and he also went on to say that if I continued to call him about this issue he would call my place of work and get me fired for harassment. After all this, the terrible job they did on my daughter's hair and the way we were both spoken to, Chris, the owner actually dared to threaten my livelihood just so he didn't have to do the right thing as a business owner and reimburse an 18 year old, so she could go somewhere else to get her hair fixed. He even continued to say that the last person who tried this he (Chris) actually made sure they got fired from their job. I am flabbergasted that he even has clients. If you want light blond hair, without muddy ash, then Razing Hair is not the place for you. There are numerous talented hairdressers in the towns around where they are located and I suggest you try those, so you can avoid such a horrible experience with a person like Chris, and you will also avoid having him threaten getting you fired from your job just because you are not satisfied with the job they do on your hair. The most ironic part is his website states that they have a 100% satisfaction guaranteed!! Guess that is a lie!!

I was so confused on what I wanted exactly but had so much help from: Nicole, a great stylist. She went above and beyond to make me happy, needless to say I was a very happy girl once everything was done. She explained everything and gave me so much professional advice. I didn't go wrong. She's so good at what she does and very friendly! I went to other places after that because The Hair Pavilion is a bit outta my way. The service I received wasn't the same... So obviously I wanted to go back. I requested Nicole again but she isn't in on Saturdays. I was greeted very nicely on the phone and was offered a different stylist and an appointment right away. So I said, sure, why not! Let me tell you, another fantastic experience!!! I was greeted and styled by Karen. She brought my hair back to life, literally. With a last minute appointment, she did everything possible to help me. I wasn't sure what I wanted. She gave me advice and tips and I trusted her expertise. She took over 2 hours working her magic in order to make me happy. She's a great stylist and so friendly too. Trust me, I was a very happy girl, yet again!
