They messed up on my appt twice. First, they scheduled me for when someone who cuts cats is available. When I called to confirm the day before the appt, they didn't even have me on the books. Second time, same thing. Finally, I bring my oldest kitty in to get a lion cut. They charged me full price, and only did half her body, saying she started to wiggle. I was recommended Shear Heaven when I relocated to Spokane, and I have been taking my toy poodle there for over two years. I am very nervous about taking my dog to grooming because there is a lot of trust when you leave your pet with strangers. Like children, it takes a special skill set to be able to manage animals with care and respect. I feel that both me and my dog get this when I take him to Shear Heaven. I have never had an issue with the service, and they are always able to get him in quickly and the job done within a few hours so he doesn't have to spend a lot of unnecessary time in a cage. He doesn't seem unhappy when I pick him up, which is always a good rule of thumb for me, and he has never had an injury. Best yet, the clips are always well done with skill and precision. read more

Seems like a great place for a groom for the dog - results are good. But they're definitely not service oriented or interested in what's best for the dog once the dog is done being clipped - like giving a call to either one of the owners to pick up their pet. Or any concern that there was no call made or that the dog was all wound up and panting his ass off in a cage. I'd give them a 4 star for results and a 1 star for being service oriented or even pretending to be. Lots of work to do on the service piece. read more

We have two older 12 and 13 year old dogs, one lab one basset. They did a lovely job of caring for our pets and grooming them. Both dogs were smiling when they were picked up and happy with their grooming experience. Believe me if they had not had a good time, I would have heard about it. Both dogs were having extreme shedding and they combed them out nicely. Nails were taken care and both were looking really good. The groomers were caring and gentle with our dogs. We will go back. Great job by Jamie & staff. I took my two Miniature Schnauzers to her today. I usually groom them myself, but broken hand prevents that right now. I am very particular about how they are groomed, especially the eyebrows. Most people don't know how to do them correctly. Jamie did a GREAT job. She understands how a schnauzer is supposed to be clippered and scissored. I am EXTREMELY PLEASED with her work. I will definitely take my girls back to her in the future. Thank you, Jamie, for doing such a wonderful job with my girls. I apologize they were in pretty messy condition when I brought them in ... kind of embarassed about that. Absolutely love this salon. We recently moved here from California and need to find a new groomer for my dog. I tried a couple other groomers before I finally found this place. This lady did a phenomenal job for a great price. I have a little Papillion and he comes out looking so handsome every time. He is also not scared to go, which is huge! He's 13 years old and over his lifetime I have tried so many groomers and everyone he's been petrified to go to. This is the only one that he is fine to go to. I'm Thrilled to say, we are so happy with our girls (Mia & Kona, Shimas, Shih-tzu X Maltese) groom today. It was last minute notice before Christmas n they got us in. We had mobile groomers n they "retired" (health reasons) so needed this right before the the holidays. Very good with our young rescue who dodged the closed door (so scared) n she went over picked Kona up n talked sweetly to sooth her. They came home looking great, healthy, happy, even the put Mia's bow back on her head! Unless or until we can find a mobile groomer again (no cages or other dogs) we'll be sticking with these good people at Shear Heaven.. Good prices too, as well as friendly with good customer service. Horrible place! Granted, the grooming job was good, but what came after was appalling. The groomer forgot about my dog, and closed up the shop 30 minutes early. It took me about an hour of calling around town to contact the owner, Jaime. Since she was so busy at the casino, she sent her husband. He called her on speakerphone and she still insisted on charging me $50 for the service! If I didn't have a few connections, my dog would have been locked up in a tiny cage alone in the dark with no food or water for the next 16 hours! Worst excuse for service ever! read more

Love this place ... I've been bringing dogs here for 10 years off and on. I have boxers and blue heelers so not really dogs that require grooming but every time I call they fit me in. They keep good records, the dogs are all happy while in the shop, the cages are solid on the back and open on the front so no chance of dog interaction problems. My dogs come home professionally groomed, which I appreciate. The price is middle --- you can get cheaper --- I've paid much more also here in town. I appreciate the middle price and always leave a generous tip. With regard to the other idiot who was tracking down the owner, the part he isn't sharing is that he didn't bother to show up on time. They keep standard hours and probably tried to call several times. "30 minutes early to go to the casino?" sounds like a ridiculous exaggeration to me. read more
