Took pet to Vet and was told he received a cut to his paws trimmed. Called and reported it only to be told to bring the vet bill and pictures. Did that and was told it was not their fault. Manager never called me, asked me any further questions or ask the groomer if they tried to trim the fur and cut my pet on accident and then just stopped. will not be using their service ever again. I never write reviews but after my conversation with the owner and no reconciliation I felt it was necessary. I recently was scheduled to have my doodle in at the Yuppy Puppy at noon to be groomed and ended up with a terrible migraine the morning of. I never cancel appointments last minute but knew there was no way I could drive to bring her in. I called a couple hours prior to reschedule the apt and ended up having to leave a message. I received a voicemail back from the owner saying I had cancelled less than the 24 hours in advance for the 3rd time and would longer be welcome at the Yuppy Puppy (this is there policy which is understandable). I was super confused as I had no recollection of cancelling apts there before so I called and spoke with the owner about it. She said that I had no showed once and mentioned 2 other dates as well that I had failed to reschedule outside of the 24 hours. I tried to clarify that that was incorrect but she was dismissive and I ended the conversation very frustrated. I went back into my bank statements and found that I had been charged for the apt that I 'no showed' (because I absolutely did have my dog groomed that day). I also went back in my phone records and have documentation from the confirmation call the day before my apts, and the call after the apt when my dog was ready to be picked up. I never cancelled or no-showed any apt. Aside from this, a strike against me when I am unwell and unable to bring my dog seems harsh and there should definitely be some circumstances when the '3 strikes' model is not implemented. I'm not sure if this is a clerical error on their end or what happened but it is beyond frustrating to be told I have been delinquent when this is obviously not the case. I've always been very happy with their services so this is a very disappointing interaction. read more

On Tuesday my Boarder Collie and Pomchi were FINALLY able to get pampered!!!! Well, I'm sooo sad to report this was so subpar! There are dicey cuts everywhere, long hairs throughout both of them and it's like they forgot the collies tail completely! We are so happy with the wonderful job the groomer did for our big fluffy Samoyed! Our dog went in with some extra long, thick and not as white as it could have been hair. Charlie has anxiety with vet visits and grooming sessions so most pick ups end up with the groomers complaining or shaming Charlie for her uneasiness. The Yuppy Puppy said she did fantastic. Apparently, a new policy was put into place with very poor communication. Very disappointing, as it's important to me me to support local businesses. Just took our dog to Yuppy Puppy for a quick nail trim. Lobby was packed with other dogs waiting patiently in line and you could tell the discomfort of owners as our dog was yelping in the background. As soon as she came out you could tell she was in distress and wanted to get out (pulling on her leash towards the door, wheezing/choking on her collar). The trim took less than 5 minutes. Nails look inconsistent and unkempt. This was only our second experience at Yuppy Puppy. The first time we were pleased with how staff tended to her. This time, there seemed to be a huge discrepancy in comparison to the first. We have left feeling nothing but discomfort as our dog was timid the entire ride home. Due to this experience, I feel more comfortable with myself learning to complete all grooming needs and not trusting a stranger. A simple improvement would be to allow owners in the back room or install a window so they can see what is occurring. read more

They made the grooming experience super easy and as stress free as possible. The staff was friendly and super helpful. My husband and I started researching dog food for our puppy well before we even got him. So we started at Yuppy Puppy and never looked back. Aquila, the owner, is incredible. She patiently answered our deluge of questions about dog food for months. We finally made a decision, with Aquila's help, about which food (Nulo, in case anyone is curious) to start feeding our puppy. Fast forward a couple of months and now we have our very handsome Doberman puppy and we were interested in the doggy day care to help with his socialization. The staff and Aquila all put our minds at ease as they gave us a tour of the day care and explained the whole process to us. We left him there for his first day and couldn't have been more thrilled with the feedback when we returned. The day care workers (angels in disguise) are always super friendly and nice. They give you a "report card" of the events of the day- who your dog played with, what they did, etc. Fantastic and very cute way to stay connected and assure owners that their dog is being well taken care of! YP also has self-serve dog washing stations. It's so awesome. You literally get to take your dog, use all of YP's materials (everything from brushes to shampoo/conditioner to towels!) and then leave your mess there. How is that not the best deal ever?? All of the groomers, front-end, day-care, and everyone else behind the scenes makes the difference between feeling like just another customer to feeling like family. Aquila has done an incredible job of offering holistic, healthy food options as well as a good variety of toys and other products. Her prices are competitive and well worth supporting a local business. Her ability to appreciate her staff is thoroughly shown with how wonderful and kind they all are as soon as you walk in the door. The tubs and stations were clean but the girl at the desk was quite rude. She kept making comments that the dog I had doesn't belong in a store and should be on a farm. There's none where we live & we have a big dog, they were all over the place in our former state of residence. They really are a lifesaver on your back! At Doggy Daycare, The Yuppy Puppy crew let my puppy get attacked and then allowed him to bleed from both legs and his jaw, alone and scared in a "time out room". His injuries resulted in a vet bill and a trauma diagnosis to his neck. All of this with no phone call to us to come pick him up early and their excuse was that they had too many un neutered dogs together. When asked to review the cameras I was told that is against their policy by the manager Danielle. Lastly, no Business owner should say f*%* every other word in front of their customers and not expect the same behavior in return. Do not recommend go here! read more

I can go on and on about how much we love The Yuppy Puppy! We have a 7 year old husky who LOVES daycare! We are so grateful to have found a place who loves our dog and treats her so well. We have also left her for a week while we were away, and she was not the easiest dog to watch (so we found out when we picked her up), but they took such great care of her and let us have our vacation time without interrupting us or making us feel bad about her behavior. They handled everything SO well. And we just had her groomed there recently, and it's the best grooming our dog has ever had! Overall such an amazing place with wonderful staff and friendly owner.
