My request was simple: CHUNKY balayage. CHUNKYYYY. I had pictures to show what I wanted. Mostly warm highlights with some cool sprinkled in. I also asked to add texture to my hair but keep the length (it was below my bra line). Nope... goodbye 6 inches I didn't ask to lose (now it's just below my shoulders). I had THICK voluminous hair, and now it's like I have the Rachel haircut. They foiled my hair to death and I ended up almost platinum blonde when the foils came out, and then to add insult to injury, you could clearly see the lines where the highlights began where it looks almost burnt at the edges?? We went back in for another TWO hours to make it warmer, but by that time my hair was fried, and now I have a bald spot I didn't have before. He offered to fix it in another few weeks after my hair has had time to settle, but I'm never letting anyone there touch my head again. I'm too nice of a person and still managed to crack a semi smile when it was finally done, but now I'm left with tears and silent screaming to hold back my utter horror at what they left me with. If you didn't get the memo: I don't recommend them. Even after everything, he still had the audacity to charge me $250 (discounted) and said I didn't need to leave a tip. Umm, thanks? God only knows how long this is going to take to fix... Should've gone to Fluff Bar. Thanh, you should've comp'd it and ask I not leave a bad review, which I totally would've said yes to not doing. Lesson learned? Was the juice really worth the squeeze? Looks like I'm not the only one who's had this happen to them? Ladies or gents: If you want balayage or any kind of coloring service, do NOT go here. This is NOT their specialty. Run. UPDATE: Went to a highly reviewed salon a few days after my visit with Vo where I had two pros look at my hair to assess the situation (and probability of me somehow getting what I originally wanted), and both agreed that what Vo did to my hair was "pretty bad" and unprofessional. All I heard, as they were slowly combing and lifting through my hair, were soft whispers and gasps of horror with the occasional, "Girl look at this... omg..." After hearing what they could do to fix the mess Vo left me with (weeks of painstaking piece meal work and god-knows-how-much-money) I ultimately decided to have them take me back to my original brown so I could start over from square one. THAT'S how bad it was. All that time and money just to go back to brown and have my hair be short and thin instead of long and thick. God I could scream. I appreciate you offering to fix the mess you left me with, Thanh, but no thanks. I would much rather you spend the time you would've taken on fixing my hair to spending it on some coloring courses instead. Just because you own a salon doesn't mean you've mastered the art of hair. The other guy whom you trained on the fly with me has a lot of learning to do also. I could tell he didn't know what he was doing and yet you still let him touch my hair while you juggled two other clients. Unacceptable service. On top of that, neither you or the other guy ever made small talk with me, which I've never experienced at a salon in all my life. Like, not a single word or question about my day or even my name. I have struggled to maintain and make my curls look "bouncy" and shiny the way it looks after I visit a salon. Andrea was very patient and thorough when explaining to me what products and oils I could use and demonstrated the techniques on my hair so I knew how to replicate this myself once I got home. I was going to an awards dinner this particular evening and requested a blowout but I appreciated that she helped me cut my natural curls first so I could see and know what to expect once I wore my hair natural again (I don't think any hairdresser has taken the time to do this for me). The blow out looked great too and it was nice to have Andrea take so much time to show me both styles and explain both to me. She always paused to ask how I was liking the cut and getting my feedback. I'm pretty low maintenance but it was lovely to have her be so detailed. From the beginning, even prior to our appointment, she was very communicative and even texted me a few days before I went to the salon to make sure I had full transparency on price, expectations, and she also had me share photos of my hair so she could be prepared. She texted me the day after my appointment as well to check in with me and said she would be available with any follow up questions I might have. The haircut aside, Andrea is just such a lovely and wonderful human being! The conversations we had were the absolute highlight of my week. Two years ago, I was the maid of honor for my mother's wedding and I witnessed my mom be absolutely treated like crap on her wedding day. This artist was contracted with Clementine's and her name was Cierra. She made comments to my mom about how her face was "asymmetrical " and she straight up said in front of everyone said loudly "your skin is aged". Everyone in the room was super uncomfortable with Cierra and she made my mom cry on her wedding day. Then Cierra showing a pic to Steph talking literal crap about my mom and all the bridesmaids heard it and she was literally laughing. Any comment my mom would ask her to fix she would just insult her and not fix it. Fast forward, this company gets an email from my mom who is upset and all they offer to do is "pass it on" to the stylist and that it "broke her heart" but offered nothing to make up for this terrible experience. You can look at all my Yelp reviews, I NEVER leave small businesses bad reviews but this is so unacceptable and unprofessional and I want to prevent any bride from experiencing this on their wedding day. As a business after hearing this you would think you would think you would work to fix it and make your clients who spent hundreds of dollars something to make up for this. NOT THIS PLACE. Future brides, please pick another salon that will make you feel special on your wedding day.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel others should be aware of my experience…read more I paid for a consult with Nikki the owner and we decided on low lights and a haircut. i was contacted by the salon and asked to reschedule my appointment to a day that was better for Nikki, at which time i was quoted a significantly lower amount than what I was ultimately charged. My final bill was around $700--roughly double what I had been told over the phone. After I contacted the owner about the discrepancy, I was refunded $150, but I still paid far more than I expected. Unfortunately, the service itself did not meet my expectations. To make matters worse, during my appointment, one of my expensive earrings went missing. Despite bringing this to the salon's attention immediately, I was not reimbursed for the lost earring, and the owner has since stopped responding to my calls and messages about the situation. The combination of being charged much more than quoted, receiving disappointing service, losing a valuable personal item, and then having difficulty getting a response afterward has been extremely frustrating. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this salon.
