I have had quite a few services completed from live-well dentistry. Unlike some of the reviews of…read morethis business, mine are genuine. I've had teeth capped, a root canal, fillings and cosmetic procedures. I have lived in many states and overseas. This dentistry is the best. Latest technology and professional from reception to services to billing. Dentistry has evolved and costs have increased. They are competitive and always upfront with pricing. I'm very happy with every person at Live-well to include the hygienist who harps about me getting a water pic..... and she is absolutely right. So right, I now have one. lol.

Nearly a year after my appointment, I received a statement from them because "they didn't receive payment from my insurer." I immediately knew something was wrong since I only received a routine dental cleaning with X-rays. I worked with my insurance and figured out that they did not submit a claim to the correct insurance since there were no claims on my file. I had to re-send the office my correct insurance information so they could re-file, but at this point, it was way over the 1 year filing limit, so my insurance denied the claim. Now I'm stuck with a $200 bill since they couldn't do their job properly and timely.

On August 28, I called this office twice to confirm that they accepted the Aetna Vital Savings plan since they were listed on Aetna's site as an in network provider. The receptionist told me that if they were listed online, then the plan should be accepted. I relied on that information and enrolled my father in the plan that same afternoon. I then called back and provided his membership number before scheduling his next visit. At the appointment on September 17, I was surprised with a full price bill. No one notified me that the plan was not accepted even though the office had his membership ID on file. Their staff later confirmed that they were not in network. Strangely, the provider listing is still incorrect on Aetna's website even now. I sent a detailed and respectful letter explaining what happened along with full payment. They cashed the check and did not reply at all. I am sharing this so other caregivers understand what to expect. When someone calls ahead and asks directly about coverage, it is reasonable to expect accurate information. For patients like my father, who have cognitive impairment and almost no spending money, unexpected bills are extremely difficult. This whole situation could have been avoided with clear communication.
