I've noticed many positive reviews about dental implants, but they often lack detail, merely expressing satisfaction. My goal is to paint a complete picture of my experience, in hopes of assisting others who are contemplating a similar path. Like many, I faced dental issues significant enough to consider dentures. Prior to visiting Smiles, I had consulted with three other dental services in the area. Each experience felt more like a transaction at a car dealership than a medical consultation. These companies assured me my jawbone was suitable for full mouth implants. Interestingly, one of these practitioners was an oral surgeon. My discovery of Smiles was pure luck, prompted by a simple Google search. Their glowing online reviews piqued my curiosity, leading me to schedule a consultation. From the initial phone call, the staff at Smiles distinguished themselves with their warmth and professionalism, a stark contrast to the sales-like approach I had previously encountered. I remember feeling impressed upon entering their office for my first appointment. The environment was immaculate and welcoming, a refreshing change from the typical dental office vibe. The technician, Frankie, was instrumental in guiding me through the process. She introduced me to two implant options: Stabili Teeth with acrylic teeth, and Express Teeth featuring Zirconia teeth. Frankie detailed the strengths and drawbacks of each, emphasizing the durability of Zirconia. Though unsure if I required the extra strength of Zirconia, the flexible upgrade option of Stabili Teeth to Zirconia at a later stage, with only the difference in cost, was appealing. Thus, I opted for Stabili Teeth, comforted by the five-year warranty and the potential for an upgrade if needed. Dr. Faust's consultation was a game-changer. His approachable demeanor and expertise were evident. He approved my lower jaw for immediate implantation but was cautious about the upper jaw due to existing abscesses and past root canals. His suggestion to delay upper jaw implants for optimal conditions, although initially disappointing, highlighted his commitment to the best possible outcome. This meant wearing a temporary top denture, a small concession for long-term success. Price, while a consideration, wasn't my primary concern. Dr. Faust's candid advice about my upper jaw, which no other dentist had mentioned, solidified my trust in him. The cost for the Stabili Teeth option, including extractions, was 21K - a significant amount, but relatively reasonable compared to other quotes I had received. The transparency and confidence displayed by the team at Smiles were the deciding factors for me. I scheduled my procedures on 10/11/23, with the mold creation set for 10/17/23 and the surgery on 11/16/23. The timing was close to the holidays, which was a concern, but the staff reassured me about the recovery timeline and diet requirements. The mold appointment on 10/17/23 further solidified my confidence in my choice. The attention to detail and patient care were exceptional. Dr. Faust's meticulous approach to ensuring a natural smile was reassuring, although I remained apprehensive about the upcoming surgery. On 11/16/23, the day of the surgery, my anxiety was at its peak. The thought of undergoing multiple extractions was daunting. However, the procedure went smoothly, exceeding my expectations. Dr. Faust successfully placed the implants in my lower jaw and performed a bone graft on the upper jaw. Post-surgery, the pain was manageable, and the care I received was outstanding. For those considering dental implants, I can't recommend Smile Dental, Dr. Foust, and Frankie enough. Their expertise, patient care, and transparency throughout the process have been exceptional. Smile Dental Center of Gibsonia, PA is AMAZING! I called the office hoping to make an appointment for a consultation concerning some dental work I needed to have done. Mindy answered the phone quickly and was so helpful. She listened to my questions and concerns and was able to schedule me for that evening with Dr. Foust! When I went into the office Lauren greeted me; although she was on the phone helping another patient she made sure to acknowledge me, which is a great first impression! After waiting only a few minutes, Tyler, the Clinical Manager, took me back to the examining room and started the exam. Tyler is great, he's very personable and definitely up to date on the latest dental techniques. He is a critical part of the "Smile Team". He did the initial exam and took X-rays. I then met Dr. Foust, who is an incredible dentist! (Believe me, I've had my share of dentists over the years!). Dr. Foust is very knowledgeable and has fantastic "bedside" manner. He explains things in a concise manner, giving the patient options and allowing them to make their own decisions. After hearing my options, I decided to have the necessary fillings done that same evening instead of waiting. I am so glad I did. My mouth is glad I did! No amount of words can express the gratitude and happiness I feel thanks to the incredible, kind, dedicated & talented staff at Smile! Dr. Faust is so genuine and caring and puts all your fears aside after one meeting with him. I have been TERRIFIED of dentists my entire life and thanks to Dr. Faust I'm not only no longer afraid but I was able to receive the life changing care & work I so badly needed. I cannot say enough kind things about Dr. Faust, Bre and the rest of the staff in the office. If you're unsure about whether or not to visit the office just know that I travel 6hrs from Philadelphia for my appointments because THAT is how great they truly are. That alone should be enough to convince you to make the call. Seriously stop delaying and get the life back that you deserve. Your teeth are important and can make or break one's self confidence. Being a person with anxiety over seeing the dentist coupled with a high gag reflex, I have often had gaps between visits to the dentist resulting in longer cleaning sessions and ultimately some tooth decay. Smile! Dental was recommended to me by a friend with similar anxieties. The best decision I've made was to schedule an appointment at the Gibsonia facility. From the time I entered, I felt welcomed. Megan was my hygienist, and after explaining my anxiety and gag reflex, all Megan asked of me was to trust her...which I did. This was the first dental visit in my 53 years where I was not only not terribly anxious but also where my gag reflex was NEVER engaged. Megan was patient, encouraging, and as excited as I was that the experience was so smooth. I am now looking forward to my next cleaning and my next annual check up! I have been seeing Dr. Foust and his team for about 2 years now. I have had not the best experiences in the past with my previous dentist and am happy to say I found a team I can trust! I originally went to Dr. Foust for a dental implant, since my dentist at the time did not perform them. From the very beginning at my first consultation, I knew I was in good hands. Him and his team did an amazing job assisting me every step of the way getting my dental implant done and did everything to ensure I would not have any issues afterwards. I did have a few minor issues that can potentially happen, but they immediately got me in and took care of me! Cannot say enough good things about Smile Dental Center and Dr. Foust specifically! The office is simply beautiful and very clean. Each room is set up with a large TV and great music always plays throughout the entire office. Dr. Foust even sings sometimes, which definitely lightens the mood of the entire experience!!! The staff are friendly and accommodating, especially with small children. The equipment is state of the art, and you can be sure if there is any new digital technology available to upgrade your dental experience, Smile Dental will be using it sooner than later! First i need to be clear on this, i hated going to the dentist when i was younger so as i got older i stopped going, which is why i had to come here. Today was jus a check up on the implant i had done around 2 years ago. this whole experience has been amazing from the original meeting and discussion about what i needed done to the actual surgery and the after care has really changed the way i view the dentist. even with an emergency situation, i broke a screw while eating a hot dog of all things, they got me right in and took care of me. I have been a patient here almost since they opened. The reason I first came there was my former dentist was just too busy and hard to get into. I thought I would never find anybody that I liked as much but I was wrong. The staff at Smile is top-notch. They are professional and very skilled. Smile! Dental Center is very appropriately named: I am greeted by smiling staff members and I am smiling as well during and after my visits. From the neat and clean waiting area to the treatment rooms that feel like a day spa (complete with music and/or TVs), it is a far cry from what I experienced with dentistry not so long ago. Who likes going to the dentist? You will. Everyone in this practice tucked away in a small strip mall in Gibsonia is professional, fun and just good at what they do. I don't think I've ever had to wait more than a couple minutes from my appointment time to be in the chair being taken care of by one of their staff. I do not usually do "reviews" but wanted to for Dr. Jarrett Foust at SmilePgh, Gibbsonia, PA. I've had two appointments with last one having three (3) extractions. I'm older and of course was a bit nervous. However, I found Dr. Jarrett, kind, patient and very knowledgeable. The office staff is also very kind and accommodating. Smile Dental Center was recommended to me by my neighbor when I had a very bad tooth ache and my former dentist was out of town. Although I was not a patient, they took me in for an examine the day I called. Within 48 hours of that examine a had a root canal done per their recommendation and all was taken care of. Today I went back to their office for a crown prep and Dr, Greg and staff were great. I had a wisdom tooth extracted and Dr. Foist was very considerate of my issues with TMJ and neck arthritis and gentle. The staff is awesome and so kind. Great dental care I was seen for what I thought was a piece of filling that washed away but instead was pleasantly surprised to find out I had a piece of vineer that was lodged between two teeth from a previous dentists' work . X-rays we're taken and no problem noted . The charge for the visit was included In my dental insurance! It was a win, win ! read more
