From the moment I walked in I was greeted right away. I was offered hot tea or water while I waited. The gentlemen at the front desk was really nice and welcoming. I scheduled a facial with Jackelyn and a massage with Mahubie. I had them booked on two separate days because of my schedule. The massage was so relaxing. Even though it was a half hour I didn't feel like it was rushed at all. Mahubie took her time and really made sure I was comfortable and super relaxed. I booked it on a Tuesday unaware they have a special going on that day. It's a half hour massage for $25. You can't beat that! When I came back for my facial I was so excited. Roxanne is amazing! I've had other facials before and this one was the best. On both visits I felt pampered and at ease. I even scheduled my husband for a massage and he loved it as well! read more

Was looking forward to my massage/facial combo appointment for some self care time. When, unfortunately they called and cancelled a HALF HOUR before the appointment. Now had i done that, I would've been charged the full amount ($165). So, I called and rescheduled my appointment, letting them know the major inconvenience this cancellation had caused me. I also gave them the benefit of the doubt to resolve the issue and was not credited anything nor addressed by the owner. The services were great but handling of the situation on the business side was done poorly. We had a couples message recently as a gift from our daughters. The atmosphere was soothing and we enjoyed our session. Afterwards, there was a foul up with the gift certificate and we were asked to pay another $85. Not wanting to be confrontational, we paid the difference. As a result, I wrote a poor review based upon that experience. Since then, the owner has reached out to us and offered to refund the payment. This spa feels like home away from home--or should I say a vacation away from home! I feel myself (comfortable) and carefree here; positive vibes from both the staff and the environment. At my first visit, I've had the opportunity to have Victoria, the aesthetician, do my pre-natal massage & facial. The experience was awesome! Throughout the facial, she mentions the product she uses. FYI: they customize the line of products they use for your skin's needs (i.e. redness, oiliness, acne). With that note, if you really like a product that they used on you at that moment, write it down! The spa only uses the Eminence skin care line, which is an organic line. And these products are wonderful: texture, smell, & results! So my second visit was just to purchase a product from this line. Another aesthetician, Steffanie, was very courteous and PATIENT as she assisted me to pick out the right products. I emphasize on "patient" because she literally answered all my questions & took the time to go over the products I was curious about, then lead me into another direction into products that will correctly treat my skin. She also showed me the tester line of the Éminence products and even demonstrated the use of it in front of me--she literally took the product and put it on her face! Ok, I don't know about you but she sold me when she applied that product on her face! The whole time she talked to me about the products, I did not feel pressured to purchase and she did welcome me to play w/the testers & to try on the samples before I committed to purchasing. I loved how genuine our conversation was. Even the lady at the front desk, who I first made an interaction with over the phone, she was lovely & heart-warming when she answered my questions & scheduled my appointment. I definitely will be using their services again and started using Éminence's skin care products. I did not feel at all discriminated like I have felt before in different spas I have been to. This place lives up to its name - my experience was truly blissful. I went in for the Blissful Touch Signature Massage with Mahubie and it was heavenly. She performed a full-body Swedish style massage and incorporated gentle stretching of my larger muscles and joints. I left feeling relaxed and tension-free, slept wonderfully that night, and woke up without my usual achy neck and back. I'll definitely be returning for regular massages now. The room was private, had soft lighting, peaceful music, and was the perfect temperature. The scented oil was not overly strong. Even the reception room was decorated beautifully and created a tranquil environment. I felt safe the entire time and everything from the restroom to the massage table were clean and sanitary. The only issue could be parking. I recommend NOT scheduling anything around 3pm on a school day because of the building's proximity to Fresno High. Other than that, you should be fine. read more

I was looking forward to my facial after seeing so many great reviews online. I got to my appointment and all the employees were in the back being really loud. It wasn't quiet and calm like other places I had been to. I stood there at the front desk for about 6 minutes until someone came up and acknowledged me. When I finally went back I really like how the rooms were private and dark. The music was nice but it was a bit too loud to where it was actually kind of disturbing. The girl then started my facial and was very gentle but spent a lot of time with the products behind her. Just seemed like she hardly even touched my face, and to make things worse she didn't even massage me. I was just so confused. By the time I knew it it was over! $75 down the drain. I have gotten multiple services at Sheer Bliss including a Lomi Lomi massage by Alonzo and a facial and multiple waxes by Jackelyn. While my massage was out of this world amazing, I'd like to concentrate this review to the services provided by Jackelyn. She is an absolute gem and so talented. The first and only facial I have ever had left me feeling like I'd been missing something magical all my life. She took the time to personalize the treatment to my particular skin type and explained her process along the way. I felt truly informed about how my skin was being treated and my skin was literally glowing when we finished! I am incredibly picky about who waxes my eyebrows, usually only visiting estheticians once and leaving disappointed by the result. Jackelyn is now the only person I trust to wax them. She also has amazing brows herself, so that helps:) She is professional, prompt, and her prices are very reasonable. I recommend her to everyone and I swear, if you go see her for your facial and skin care, you will NOT be sorry! The spa is also a local neighborhood business and I am so happy I live 5 mins away! I am pretty picky about facial *anything*. I used to be in the beauty industry, and know more about products, service and the business than most clients would....and I have to say I was super-impressed with the facial I got from Stephanie at Sheer Bliss today. I bought an "Organiclicious" 60-minute facial through an online coupon, and wasn't sure what I was in for. I was pleasantly surprised, and both the service and the products used exceeded my expectations. The organic products are WONDERFUL, and I left with glowing, hydrated skin. One of the things I noticed most was that Stephanie applied many, many different treatments during the course of my facial, and she also did extractions, so I felt like I got a LOT for my $$. One of the best parts was the massage. It was AWESOME. Stephanie mentioned that she studied massage in Thailand for a month, and it really shows when it comes to that part of the service. She worked on my shoulders, neck, upper back and arms for like 30 minutes - and I mean she WORKED it!! I felt like I almost got two services in one. Stephanie is very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and friendly. When I mentioned I was out of moisturizer, she offered me samples to try for a week instead of trying to sell me something right away. Cheryl gave me a wonderful 60 minute deep tissue massage. She encouraged me to communicate with her about the amount of pressure I prefer and was quick to make me comfortable. I am looking forward to my next experience with her! On a side note, the spa is small but comfortable, earthy and beautiful. The space consists of 3 service rooms and a small waiting area. Restrooms are located nearby outside of the suite. Coil yoga is directly across, which makes for a potential great afternoon. Yoga followed up with a massage. Ahhhhhhhhh :) Please be aware that currently major construction is going on in the building. This is something that the businesses occupying the building have no immediate control over. If you're easily annoyed, distracted, etc do yourself a favor and wait to enjoy your experience here. Construction should clear up quickly. read more

I was given a gift certificate from my boyfriend for my birthday. I was already having a stressful day, barely made it to my appointment on time and once I walked in and was greeted by Stephanie, I knew my day was about to change. Sheer Bliss is located in a very cool old building with a lot of history. Their shop is very clean and very relaxing. It had been about 8 months since my last massage and I explained to her that I had knots everywhere and I also have Fibromyalgia. When it was time to get started, the massage table was THE most comfortable one I've ever been on as they have memory foam on it! Stephanie was very attentive to my troubled areas and had just enough pressure to get the knots out but make it still relaxing. The best massage of my life!!! Now I understand their name. I can't quite explain the feels I had during this massage other than sheer bliss. First of all the studio is decorated absolutely stunning. The treatment rooms are dim and relaxing. I love her elements of nature and Bohemian zen style. As for the massage...the amount of pressure was perfect. She used so many techniques: hands, elbows, on top of the table, hot rocks, arm and leg stretches, warm damp towels on my face and feet, wonderful relaxing aromas, soothing music. It turned out to be a great experience. Mary was very good and did not use any strong fragrances that could easily cause me to have a headache.
