One of the only places to experience heaven on earth! My husband and I come here probably every 1 - 2 months when running errands in Clovis. We've become obsessed (as financially feasible as we can get at least) with thai massages since visiting Thailand in 2023. Let's just say that we enjoy Northern Thai as much as some of the massages we've had in Thailand. There are 4 options for massages - Thai massage which is stretching + massaging with no oil, Swedish which is a relaxing oil massage, Thai-Swedish a mix of the two, and Swedish deep tissue with oil and lots of elbow/forearm for pressure. At this point, I've had them all and highly recommend for starters the combination Thai-Swedish which is a nice mixture of assisted stretching into yoga-like poses with relaxing kneading/gliding of Swedish massage. The masseuses, though tiny in stature, pack a lot of strength and are able to expertly navigate the tight spots that need the most attention. One nice bonus is that they also have heated massage table pads which felt extremely nice during this cold winter afternoon. Be sure to call ahead for an appointment. I've hardly had issues getting a same day appointment. The only negative about Northern Thai is that they have noisy barber shop neighbors, so I recommend ear buds or plugs so that you can really enjoy the massage in peace. read more

Stopped by to purchase two gift certificates for a lovely couple, and I was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming the experience was. The front lobby felt calm, relaxing, and peaceful. The front desk employee assisted me right away, she was kind, polite, and spoke with a soft voice that instantly put me at ease. The gift certificates themselves looked well made (high quality paper) and even came with elegant envelopes. I needed deeeep tissue massage to where I would be in pain because my head, upper back, and legs were super tight and hurting from working out and camping. $60 for 1 hour deep tissue massage. So worth it. My masseuse took her time and went over and over again on my tight muscles. Vibe is quiet and calm. One of my favorite massage places in Fresno/Clovis. The prices are reasonable and they do a great job, no funny business. I just wish they had more availability for drop ins. One star just because Yelp doesn't allow you to post a review with zero. Not sure if the Lady up front was having a bad day, didn't want us there or both but, she instantly said "we're busy" with an annoyed face. I asked "if we can come back?" Replies "yeah, sure...." Like she was in a rush to get us out of the lobby. Gave my number and she said she'll call in an hour.....*fast forward 4 hours later* and we already went elsewhere AND had food without a call. Nobody can control how busy it is but, you can control your customer service. This was a great example of what NOT to do working up front. The Yelp reviews were so good, I had to see for myself. Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience. The massage beds were hard and the towels they spread on them were rough and uncomfortable. The massage itself was inconsistent from one side to the other and I was disappointed that she didn't spend much time on my trouble spots even though I specifically told her where I was having issues. I didn't feel like the tension in my neck and shoulders was relieved when the massage was over. My mom wanted to come to this place specifically because she heard they stepped on your back during the massage. However, I realized half way through that this was probably not going to happen so I had to ask on her behalf for them to do it. The other Thai massage places I've been to always stepped on my back without me having to ask so I thought it was a standard practice. When I got home, I noticed a huge rash on my chest. I didn't think too much of it at first and assumed it would go away but it didn't. Instead, little itchy red bumps started to form all over my body. I'll post a picture of what my forearm looks like. I'm not sure if it was a reaction to the sheets and towels they used or if I had a reaction to their oils. Believe the hype with Wan Pen!! Good lord that woman packs a punch! She is STRONG! I opted for the full 60-minute Thai massage. She asked me if I was ok with deep tissue and of course, I said YES! She dug deep into my soul and took out the knots, tension, and tired limbs. She knew just where the sore spots were too!! She would get to a spot and say, does this hurt, and I would say just a bit and she said, you're really right there. LOL. She definitely knows her stuff! She stretched out my hips, shoulders, and back. It was the perfect pressure! After the initial stretch, she used oil and worked out my shoulders and arms, an area I asked her to focus on. Focus she did and she worked it all out. It felt so good when she was stretching and working out the knots. I just felt refreshed as she conquered one knot after the other after the other! She also knew all of the pressure points and muscle attachment sites which really helped to work out the entire muscle and not just the area. It's $60 an hour and well worth it! Most of us don't stretch regularly and ignore our body. Don't! Treat yourself once to a Thai massage. Let her stretch your body and relax your muscles. Unbelievable!! This was the best massage my body has EVER experienced. My husband and I called and scheduled a couples massage. We did not have to wait and were escorted to room 3 with two beds. They explained the procedure and asked us what area we wanted them to focus on. They assured us they would ask regarding our preference on pressure along the way which they did. I asked for a deep tissue maternity massage and the lady did not do a very good job. She was hitting my trigger points but not enough pressure applied, it was very minimum. She said she didn't want to apply too much pressure to my trigger points on my shoulder and both lower extremity bc she didn't want to hurt me since I was pregnant. That is a lame excuse because I had deep tissue maternity massage before and they never said anything like that (in a different area). Also my trigger points where I wanted her to focus isn't near my pelvic or stomach area, so I don't see why she can't apply deep tissue massage to my shoulder and both lower extremity. I came here due to the high ratings but it was not a good experience. I'm not sure how they received such high ratings but I would not recommend you to come here for a maternity massage or deep tissue massage. read more

Mimi just gave me the best Thai massage I've had in the U.S. maybe even best overall! She used her knees, legs, arms & elbows to work out my knots and stretch the muscles. I especially love Thai massage for the stretching and the way they put your arms & legs into different positions as they work on them to massage all sides of each muscle. I walk out with better range of motion and just better ability to move. Northern Thai massage is clean, quiet, everything you want for massage therapy. Worst massage I've ever had! And I've had tons of thai massages. Inconsistent she felt like a beginner. She used her elbow the entire time one arm at a time I had to ask her to move around she stood in one spot for 5 mins straight. I booked a 90 minute massage and wanted to get off the table 45 mins into it. But I toughed it out hoping it would get better. It didn't. She barely used her hands and she only walked on me for a few minutes I had to ask her to get back on and walk on me some more! She didn't do any of the usual techniques they do every where else! Or hit the spots my regular masseuse hits. And she ignored my feet and hands!! I could have stood home and made my husband massage me he sucks almost as bad as her but I would have saved a $110 bucks ! I still tipped because I was raised right but I will never go back again and I think you should not waste your money here especially if you're in real pain and need the massage. Me and my girlfriend have gotten couples massages here twice so far and I can say that the ladies (I'm bad w names) that gave us our 1hr thai/Swedish deep tissue massage really know how to dig deep and get into those tough knots. It literally hurts so good. 100% recommend if your back and legs are sore or tight. The strength these women have still trips me out lol. They're also really good at taking walk ins too. Fantastic customer service! The masseurs here are more than nice, they offer you water and tea while they massage you. I went in for the 60 minute deep tissue massage and was told that I should come one time a month to help alleviate any tense muscles and knots that I may have.
