Dear Friends, I truly believe sugar is a part of my . It instantly invokes joy and reminds me of happy memories. I recently went to visit @Sheila's for my latest sugar rush and like always Sheila and her magical crew didn't disappoint. Sheila's is a bakery located in beautiful downtown North Augusta where you'll have the urge to visit all the shops because they are all specially curated to fit the desires of families, pals night out, and solo travelers. I ordered my goodies in advance because if you know anything about these pastries they go no matter how hard they try to keep them stocked. They always have great options ready to purchase in store but I've had the unfortunate luck of being one customer shy of getting some of my favorites. While you're enjoying your visit, be sure to grab a cup of the main and seasonal drink options. This time I tried a lavender and honey latte and it was delicious treat as I usually drink black boring coffee. @Sheilas is truly a North Augusta Gem. Group Suggestions: It's quaint but is a great meetup spot for 2-4 patrons. You can enjoy sitting inside or outside and enjoying the beautiful sights of North Augusta. This is also a great spot to grab a snack before or after taking a class @arworkshop on a Saturday morning. Solo Suggestions: This is a solo travelers dream. There is seating inside and outside to accommodate you and the new friends that you'll meet while enjoying your treat. They also participate in Third Thursday's for those of you who can't make it to the shop in the morning. Best apple fritters! Delicious donuts (and pastries) and great coffee! Love that there is a donut shop with homemade pastries in NA!

I absolutely love this Bakery. This has to be one of the best spots to find fritters especially if it's blueberry fritters. I had no idea how delicious they were until I finally got a chance to bite into one and I can tell you it tasted like heaven. It was so worth coming here honestly I have not been able to find many bakeries or shops that actually sell fritters where I live at but I'm glad to finally find one even if it is a bit far away from home. read more

I've had my fair share of local donuts and Shelia's Donuts is in my top three---EASY! Possibly #1 THE PIÑA COLADA DONUT: The dough of each donut is suuuuper soft and pillowy. I dont know if this place is ran by Mennonites but may bc their dough reminds me of Lil' Dutch Bakery which is Mennonite owned. Anyway, the piña colada has a dehidrated thinly sliced super delicious pineapple on tip and is covered with coconut shavings...I absolutely despise of coconut anything EXCEPT ON THIS DONUT..the icing even has a delicate pineappley flavor....#perfection THE APPLE FRITTER Lightly fried perfectly iced with plenty of apples (thank you Shelia!!)..this fritter is everything! slightly crisp on the outside with a soft doughy inside...cant get any better than this! The Boyfriend enjoyed it too! THE MAPLE BACON DONUT: This donut is giving me waking up Saturday morning in a log cabin in November vibes! It's fun and just screams autumn breakfast! I really enjoyed this one! The maple pairs perfectly with the bacon...which is REAL BACON might I add. If you're into salty sweet this one is a must try! This is one of my favorite local bakeries. They have a large variety of baked goods, both savory and sweet! My favorite is the caramelli. It's basically a fluffier cinnamon roll and it's delicious. They're primarily opened in the morning to early afternoon, so you have to get there a little earlier to get your baked goods! I definitely recommend checking out this place if you're having any sweets cravings. read more

For my first time ordering takeout since March, it had to be Sheila's. I didn't know she had a new storefront and shuttered the food truck temporarily so I went into semi-panic mode for the one week the truck was not parked in its usual spot and grumbled until I saw the updates. This lady knows her doughnuts and pastries. She doesn't do a crazy selection but what she does do, she does very well. It's better than any other local bakery I've frequented over the past decade and it really hits the spot on a dreary morning with a cup of coffee. read more

The famous Sheila has finally opened up a donut shop in North Augusta! Add it to your favorites! I cannot begin to express just how good these are. Let's just say all who know me well, know that it is very rare to see me eat sweets. Sheilas donuts are to die for! People will stand in line in the freezing cold for her donut truck...trust me, we have! and we'd continue to do it and so would others. Thankfully she's been blessed enough to be able to open up her own shop! Good for her and extra good for us! I cannot wait to frequent her new establishment! I will now be working toward new fitness goals to stay in even better shape just to fulfill my need to eat her delicious pastries as often as I can. Wonderful desserts friendly staff, tiny location but with a good atmosphere. LOVED the Mexican Hot Chocolate cinnamon roll!

So this is hands down one of the best bakeries I've gone too. The donut reminded me of an airy bagel like in New York (iykyk). It's fluffy but slightly dense at the same time. And the icing is not too sweet, just right. The klobasnek kolache is great. The smoked sausage snaps as you bite it and the dough around it is awesome. The best kolache I've had. They have a great take on the traditional cinnamon roll as well, the Mexican chocolate. The coffee is also really good and smooth. You can feel the freshness in this bakery, from icing to the donuts and everything else. The service was also friendly and knowledgeable, helped us sort through our cravings. I would definitely come back and send my friends. Great addition to the CSRA. read more

My dad continued to ask me about Shelia's everyday, so today I brought him and he was like a child in a candy store. I tried the fritters that was live at first taste for him and I give it 2 thumbs up! The taste is perfect and consistent in each bite! My nephew loved the doughnuts and how big they were! Conveniently located on Georgia avenue the opposite end from Your Pie, Sheila's is adding a lovely, local option for North Augusta residents and visitors alike. Sheila's offers some regular staples like glazed yeast, chocolate sprinkle, orange glazed twist, and cinnamon rolls. My favorite is trying their rotating options. I've had strawberry (my daughters favorite), lemon dream, blueberry (delicious!), peanut butter explosion (if a PB cup were a donut), the lavender roll, caramelli, and some kind of delicious peach cheese pastry (my favorite!). They now offer fresh pretzels on Thursdays. Having lived in Germany, I haven't found a place stateside that even compares - I'll be going this Thursday and I'll let you know! read more

I came there around 12 pm and they were almost practically sold out on their pastries. I definitely recommend go there early on if you want to have lots of options to choose from. I had gotten the fruit kolache and it was good! I liked the tartness that the raspberry gave to the kolache and it was soft and not dry. The pastries are great, as are the doughnuts and coffee. I simply with the staff was friendlier. Each morning that I stop, the staff is very cold and almost condescending to customers. Perhaps the front counter staff could show a little more "southern hospitality." I'm not typically a high rater; to get 5 stars, knock my socks. 4 stars is good. Sheila's is a good, local bakery. They often have specials which help with not getting in too much of a pastry rut! It is a small shop and often gets crowded (and some specials sell out). There is outside seating which helps. Pastries are good. They aren't a coffee venue, so their coffee offerings aren't great; acceptable is the best I can do for that. For good pastries, expect to pay more than you do at Dunkin! read more

Wow this place has the best doughnuts that I have ever eaten. I am so glad they have a shop now as I used to see them on Washington road (near Tip Top Beers) on certain weekends but every time I tried to get a pastry I wanted they were sold out. That alone speaks volumes on how good their pastries are. I am also glad they are located in North Augusta as that is a 25-30 min drive from me because this place can be dangerous for your waistline. It's is that good that you will crave it more then once a week. We had their caramel and gingerbread lattes which were so smooth and delicious. Not overly sweet and complemented the pastries and kolache very well. The klobasnek kolache (sausage with jalapeños on top) were divine! The dough was so soft and the sausage was savory. Took 3 more home for my daughters so they can enjoy. The cinnamon rolls looked delicious as well so we brought 3 different types (Mexican hot chocolate cinnamon roll, sticky bun, and regular cinnamon roll) home with us. The service was 5 stars and the location and establishment itself is great as well! They do have one gender neutral bathroom. It's worth a visit! I drive from Grovetown on a Saturday morning (6:45AM) just to get there when they open to make sure I get them fresh and before it all goes out later in the day. The customer service is very welcoming. The food...Kolaches - AMAZING. Klobasniky - Savory favorite. So many different varieties. There's an almond cream tart that is wonderful. The wife likes to hit this place up. Their apple fritter is top-shelf; their donuts are OK and probably rank high compared to other non-mass produced bakeries in the area. Fresh Market offers pretty good baked goods - apple fritters, apple pies, and muffins. Never had their donuts. Sprouts makes a better pecan pie. read more
