Decided to stop in to this fairly new breakfast place. We got an Asiago bagel with cream cheese. It was great with just the right amount of chew. This is a truly hidden gem, partly because they are only open one morning of one day a week (Saturday), so they aren't widely well known. However, their dedicated customer base means that they sell out of everything basically by lunch time, and the really popular items within just an hour or two. Their bagels are fantastic, and i love how many different and varied flavours they offer. I'm a sucker for a good savoury bagel, and they have so many great options: Asiago cheese, cheddar and jalapeño, old bay, "low country," the list goes on! They also have savoury scones which are fantastic. Their sweet offerings, both in bagels and pastries, shouldn't be missed either. The service is on par with the excellent food, and you can really tell that they love their job and their customers. There's always a smile behind the counter, even at the crazy busiest time, and the owners are often outside greeting people and getting to know their customers. The store gets the job done, but it's not as cozy as you might expect or want for the best bakery in Aiken. If they could make it a warmer feel with big plush armchairs I'm not sure I'd ever leave. read more

The Amie Stelle Bakery makes fresh bagels! I feel as though that's all I should have to say, as they are the only locally-owned and operated bakery that makes fresh bagels in south Aiken. They also have pies, turnovers and muffins on occasion. The owner is out front greeting and bagging baked goods for customers. He's very friendly and happy to recommend goodies to you. The restaurant is fully furnished, but lacks cozy frills. Once it is open added hours, it may acquire frills to make it even more welcoming. read more

Scones!!! Bacon cheddar jalapeño scone was amazing!! Not dry like some scones, full of flavor. Save room for some Cinnamon rolls that were amazing!! Also got a loaf of Sourdough bread that made the best sandwiches! Staff were very friendly and not rushing you to make a decision. Will be back for sure! Noticed as I was leaving they had a giving wall where you can order something for a person who might need a little help. I had the salt and pepper bagel with garlic and onion cream cheese. Toasted of course! Delightful! Cannot wait to go back and try the Salmon lox and perhaps an everything bagel? I got there right near closing today so I fully expect to have more choices in selections the next time I go! Great and friendly service. Nothing gets past Aiken residents and so within the first 1-2 weeks that this business has been open a following has already formed. Right now they're only open on Saturday from 8 am-2 pm until they get more hands. You can't lose with homemade baked goods: bagels and scones. The service is good and the owners very much feel like "real people". Definitely check them out! read more

The worst part about this place is that they're only open one day a week (Saturday) and once they're out of something they're OUT, and there won't be any more til the next Saturday. But those are some pretty good cons. We went mainly to try bagels but they were also hosting an animal rescue with some puppies in the extra space next door, so it was an eventful morning for us. We tried the Lowcountry bagel (it has cheese, old bay seasoning, and something else reminiscent of a lowcountry boil) and the special cheese, herbs, and garlic bagel. We were boring and just got plain cream cheese but they were great bagels. I wish they'd been slightly bigger but for the price I really cannot complain. The Lowcountry bagel was extra tasty (a little heat!) and a unique flavor that I appreciate (though I love a good everything bagel too). They also have bagel sandwiches and I think next time we go I'll try that. I ordered an orange cinnamon roll (a special for Easter weekend) but the cashier seemed to be new and a bit confused so it somehow fell through the cracks in the transfer from cashier to food prepper, and by the time we got our order and sat down (after looking at the puppies) realizing it was missing, they had sold out. The owner felt bad and gave us a rain check for it. I'm still bummed, I really needed a cinnamon roll! But such is the way of food and bev, the trainees have a tough time as it is. Hopefully they will smooth out the wrinkles soon to avoid errors like that in the future. Otherwise, they have a great space set up with plenty of seating and bright and open, as well as clean large bathrooms. read more

Our whole family enthusiastically looks forward to our Saturday (and sometimes Friday) Oh Mie Stella visits. We all have our favorites, and we like to try the new and seasonal treats. So I can across a mention of this place in an FB group about Aiken. And funnily enough I'd just spoken to new neighbor from New York bellyaching about how there are no bagel places in Aiken, saying "they don't know what a bagel is." In any case, I'm not a huge bagel eater (way way way too many carbs), but being from the North, when I wanted a bagel, it was usually only a 5-minute drive to one. Then Oh Mie Stelle opened AND it was my birthday, so I said, why not? I knew I'd hit on something by the long line in the place. But I was skeptical because it is truly just a counter and a kitchen. In any case, I got my usual cinnamon raisin toasted with butter (also bought some Asiago chips...hey, it was my birthday!). When I tell you that was the most divine bagel! OMG. So soft and perfect, not dry, not gummy, just heaven. The chips were good as well. So, now Aiken has an authentic bagel shop. Go there, you will not be disappointed. Well, you may be disappointed if you go too late because they run out of the most popular flavors fast. p.s. Super sweet staff too! :) read more
