Nick responded within minutes letting us know that his evening class is full, but that we could drop by and do the WOD. He runs an open gym during off hours, so the timing was actually better than his class times. Nick was super friendly, experienced, and passionate about fitness. The gym is only a few months old, but he's not a noob to CrossFit and has valuable coaching experience at one of the leading boxes in New England. Shelburne is lucky to have a great place like this and not have to drive through Burlington. The facilities are clean, the space is small but well arranged, and they have access to the indoor courts. You can't beat having a Crossfit Gym in Vermont where you can run indoors! Next time we're in town we will be back over there.

There isn't a weight room per se; you work with different instructors and trainers and use the weights, TRX, cables, punching bags, etc. available. There are numerous group fitness classes for all interests from times ranging as early as 7am to 7pm: TRX, TRX Strong, TRX Bootcamp, TRX Express, H.I.T.T., F.I.T., Strength and Conditioning, Total Body ABC (Arms, Butt, Core), Box Fit, HIITBox, CoreBox, Total Body Circuit Training, ETHOS Bootcamp, Yoga. There are also certified massage therapists on site that do various massage modalities and therapies, including the Grafton Technique, trigger-point therapy, Swedish, and cupping. I've taken several classes with Anna Bohen Judge. Anna Bohen Judge is a yoga, TRX fitness instructor, and personal trainer that is one of several instructors at Ethos. I've attended her TRX and yoga and even had some personal training from her. Anna is extremely patient and kind, offering help with form and making modifications for those with physical limitations. Her TRX class is pretty awesome, using Tabatas in H.I.T.T. format as part of the program. Her restorative yoga class takes away stress and any aches and pains. I also went to massage therapist Joy Snow for help with my chronic shoulder issue and arm. She not only worked out the issue, but also explained to me why it may have happened and exercises to do in order to prevent it in the future. Ethos offers an excellent array of classes and services. There are several different membership offerings, plus punch cards that are highly reasonable. I highly recommend this gym for your fitness needs.

I'm sure the Middlebury location is great but for a Vergennes/Ferrisburgh resident, it would be nice to get a gym visit in without having to cross like four town lines. It's a missed opportunity to not provide this service.

The instructor was very friendly and everyone was pleasant and welcoming. I felt right at home. The instructor paid close attention to me, to be sure I was doing the moves properly and safe. Yesterday Bill taught the best yoga class I've ever had. Here's why it was the best. Gentle,…read moremeditative warm-up, gradual transition into poses. Bill is always teaching, softly weaving his explanations into the movements and poses. He started with Cat-Cow and creatively returned to that sequence in several advancing iterations as the class progressed. It was imaginative, interesting and my body loved the progressions. He taught a whole class once using the anatomy and physiology of the fascia as the theme, yet never "lecturing". I learned so much! He knows so much about the history and practice of yoga. This was a Level 1 class, other Levels are more advanced and active. There is a Restorative Yoga class I love, taught by Kelly. Lot of choices! The Studio is easy to get to in Burlington, with lots of parking. Staff is helpful and friendly, there's an easy atmosphere that is warm and welcoming. The studio is well-kept with large, open space. The heat is wonderful, not too much but enough to help bring a light sweat. I regularly recommend the studio to friends.

The floors are all bamboo, the colors are soothing and soft. There are 3 different studio spaces, and each follows it's own color pattern, but it all works together. I've only taken a few classes here, but they've been great - just what I needed. I have not had need for the physical therapy services, but I've heard from others that they are gifted practitioners. Highly recommended.
