What a find! On our way back to Arizona from Cali (with two toddlers and a dog) we stumbled upon Shelees Travel Center and couldn't have been more pleased with our stop! It's never easy finding a pace to stop on a road trip, but this place has it all. Plenty of gas pumps, a little dog park area, the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen at a gas station, an incredible selection of healthy, salty, sweet, indulgent treats/snacks/food/drinks, and a safe and comfortable place for our whole family to get out of the car and stretch our legs. Shelees is easy to get to right off the freeway, can be a long or quick stop depending on your needs and then you're all filled up, refreshed and ready to hit the road again. We will be frequent visitors on our Cali road trips from now on. read more

Sheelee's Travel Center is one of the better gas stations in this area for snacks and restrooms. You won't find too much of a crowd here because you do have to veer of the 10 freeway a bit and go about 1 exit towards the Sultan Sea to get here. If you're going east, don't make a right out of Shelee's because Google maps will have you take the 10 west and flip you back around. Now that we know that, we'll probably stop by this exit again during our road trips out of CA. The facilities are really clean and they have a gourmet coffee shop inside. Glad that I stopped to fill up! From the outside, this travel center doesn't look particularly grand, but stepping inside is a totally different story--it's surprisingly spacious, clean, and upscale for a gas station. The pumps are well-spaced, so fueling up is stress-free and never congested. Inside, the store is a delight: an awesome selection of candy, snacks, fresh coffee, and even gadgets and clothing you don't usually see on the road. Everything is organized perfectly, making browsing a joy. The service is just as impressive. Danary, the cashier, was fantastic--friendly, welcoming, and full of genuine compliments, which was especially appreciated since I felt like a total hot mess that day. Her energy made the visit feel personal and memorable. The coffee shop/ snack restaurant inside added an extra layer of comfort, making this stop not just convenient for fuel, but a place to grab a bite or a coffee and recharge before hitting the road again. I stopped here at Shelee's Travel Center for the first time this past week. This place is an oasis for fueling up, grab a snack, drink, meal, or just browse the aisles to purchase interesting Knacks and Knicks at a travel station. There are over 50+ gas pumps. Yes, it's true, there is virtually no waiting. This oasis is not only a relief for car travelers driving east or west on the Columbus Christopher Highway (10 Interstate), it is a lux truck stop for tired drivers to fuel up their big-rigs, rest, and freshen-up. The friendly cashier advised me that location is on Native land. Shelee, the tortoise is the tribe's beloved mascot/symbol. The aesthetic is fun, casual, clean, and extra welcoming. The beer cave near the cashier/counter is in intriguing. I was off to grab early dinner (take-out), so I did not saunter into the beer cave. Next time! This place is more than a gas station. I had a great visit to Shelee's for my first visit. First of all I was greeted by two different very pleasant employees. They have a super organized store and had snacks, trucker supplies and even some goodies for my puppy. They have a small counter for coffee, not trick so style, but go up to a counter and order. I loved that because they had a huge variety of options. The restrooms were so clean. I got gasoline and a small bag of dog bones. I will be back, it is easy to access off the freeway. They always compete with Morongo for the absolute CHEAPEST GAS AROUND ! Shelees is so much easier to stop and return to the highway tho ! Lots of gas pumps and SUPER CLEAN RESTROOMS . We stopped here since they had higher rating than a nearby competitor. I must say, glad we went here instead! OMG the automatic seat cover replacement on toilets was genius! Had never been to a Shelees to know their cleanliness reputation. Love the RV fuel island. Long enough to fuel my truck and my 40ft at the same time. The Rv dump site could be better which they have 3 but when you have a long set up and the guy in front takes two spots it's pointless. I would suggest a pull thru dump. It's only $10 for dumping . The 29 Palms Band of Mission Indians have set the bar very high for the other guys. So, what's so great? Layout is wide open with great pavement. Separate RV / Toy fueling islands. Pricing is aggressive : $4.059 for diesel 4/7/25. Cash/ credit are the same price. The pumps have up to date touch screens that work properly. The store and restrooms are spotless. Stopped in to check out this new travel center that just opened in town! And man this place was huge and all bright, modern looking and clean. They had an awesome selection of snacks, drinks, fresh food a beer freezer and actual coffee shop inside! Shelees is a rare find. Super clean and friendly staff. Huge selection of snacks and drinks but they also have a nice little deli area too. They have easy access from Dillon Rd and a few semi truck parking spaces fairly close to the convenience store. They also have access to the casino next to them that has more truck spaces too. It is situated next to a larger name truck stop but this place is much nicer. Though I don't know if they have showers and laundry for us truckers. read more

This is a really nice gas station and travel stop. There are a ton of gas pumps for cars and trucks. The restrooms are super clean. Very modern with automatic water and soap dispensers at the sinks. Ok as I walk in beautiful display and coffee shop. Looked like I was walking Into a grocery store. Next I went to the restroom and nobody was inside about 15 stalls and automatic toilet cleaners. The sink was spotless and automatic, no water on counter. The didn't have the chips/popcorn I wanted but maybe we didn't look hard enough. Customer service excellent. We went to our car and forgot something so the lady that helped us the first time had no problem with us coming back again. I paid $10 for a chorizo burrito and it was absolutely disgusting. I took one bite and I almost threw up. It's like they got pork chops and just put it in a blender.
