First time visiting Palm Desert and my wife had a random non-negotiable craving: fried chicken. After some Reddit digging, Towers Market kept popping up. I'll be honest--gas station food usually lives somewhere in my college survival era memories, so I was skeptical... but I'm always open to try something new. Right when we walked in, we were greeted warmly and treated with genuine friendliness and respect, which already set a good tone. Just to be clear, I'm writing this review purely based on the fried chicken and the service related to getting it. I didn't come for gas or anything else, so please keep that in mind. I am not the type of person who likes to complain or leave bad reviews. I also work in customer service as a waiter, so I know that there are days when it is very difficult to deal with difficult customers. This gas station in Palm Desert--the Tower Market located on Highway 111--used to be one of the stations closest to my home. Consequently, it was perfectly convenient for filling up my work truck, grabbing my fresh coffee, and picking up the burritos or sandwiches they had been offering lately. However, I have repeatedly encountered a sarcastic attitude from the manager whenever I ask about food items that have run out and want to know if they will be making more. In fact, I have even called ahead of time to order burgers or pastrami sandwiches, but it seems like they always get annoyed when I ask for those specific items. Furthermore, when the line gets too long early in the morning, there is invariably only one cashier working--even though you can see the manager sitting right next to the computers, right beside that sole cashier. It stands to reason that if there are more than 5 or 7 people waiting in line to pay, she should step in to help them. As a result, by the time you finally get to the front to pay, the cashier is already in an authoritarian and rude mood. They definitely need to take a closer look at the employees at this gas station and provide them with proper training on how to serve customers; after all, we are the ones spending our money there, and we deserve at least a little bit of empathy and a friendly greeting. In conclusion, I have stopped going to this gas station and will be returning to the Sinclair station located just two blocks away, where the customer service is much better!I read more

Stopped in to grab a beverage and use the ladies room, and being that it was my first time I was a little nervous. Public restrooms can either make your day...or break it! I was delighted to find the restroom to be single use AND clean as a whistle - I mean, look at that perfectly clean tile! The entire snack shop was aesthetically pleasing in the display and had more than you'd expect for a gas station mart. I am often shopping in this area and will make sure to stop in for gas, nibbles and for sure if I need a five star restroom. read more

Just plan on a 10-15 minute wait for a gas and a bag of chips. Service is great if you want a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or a corndog that seems to be their priority. Typical market with quick goods while gassing up. I needed a bottle of water so went inside and grabbed a 99 cent bottle. When I went to pay it was $1.49. I said, that seems like a lot of tax? The clerk said "oh we charge 45 cents to use a debit card". I paid by cash, instead. I find it hard to believe that a chain like this pays 45 cents per transaction. And for a purchase of $1.00 it should be waived. I thought this wasn't okay in California. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can weigh in? read more

I have never gotten gas here but my girlfriend told me about the fried chicken. I was told to only call on Saturday morning and order extra spicy fried chicken to go. It is sooo delicious and very reasonable too! It takes about an hour to call head. Ask to talk to the girls who make it is the only way to get it extra spicy or you can always order the regular chicken made fresh for pick up. That way you are only getting it freshly made and not sitting in the case. I have only been to the one on 111 in palm desert.. I have also gotten dates and produce as well. I just had the worst fried chicken that you can imagine from here on Sept. 4th 2025! I purchased a breast and a wing and both were dry as could be! They definitely must have been sitting there for quite some time! I have had fried chicken from this location in the past and had found it to be quite good... being flavorful, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. NOT THIS TIME though... it was terrible tasting plus it's not cheap costing by any means!!! I would say be very careful should you buy any cooked food from here. They can expect someone to become very sick from their worker's lack of due diligence with their food. read more

At 6 PM every evening you're walking to this market in the middle of Palm Desert, which is a dinner time there is no chicken available and then whatever left over they have they wanna shove it down your throat by charging you for three dollars for a piece it is unacceptable and making money. This way is immoral because you are pushing people to pay more by not being ready when the dinner should be ready. Do not ever shop at any tower market again Because there is no sincerity and it's not good business. It is shady. read more

They had a sign on the pump to pay inside. I gave them $40 cash and someone pumped my gas and they would not give me the gas I paid for or reimburse me. I will boycott the location on Monterey and suggest you do the same. read more

What am I stupid?! The attitude on this young girl is foul. She treats customers with pure disrespect. When you are on the clock you absolutely have a time when you have to be authoritative but you don't pull that card out when it's not necessary. I usually don't have high expectations when visiting a gas station market, but this place had it all! This market has sweet little items you could buy as fun gifts, such as specialty drinking glasses, candles, cosmetic bags, etc. I saw a large selection of sodas and ice creams. Some fried food was available in a heated display case, which is typical, but I also say various items on the shelves that were healthier products you might find in a health food store as well. Incredibly clean and fresh, feels very safe during this zombie apocalypse. Has a really great selection. It is more of a miniature supermarket than the typical gas station, with things such as produce and interesting selection of frozen and fresh meals. Nice stores it's just too bad a significant portion of their profit stems from listing one price on the shelf, while charging 20-30% more to unaware customers at the register. I have the vintage shop a few doors down and I live in the neighborhood and would come here for water, wine or snacks. But since Chef Tanya started selling her plant based dishes here this week I have been coming for lunch picking up a salad or sandwich. I am so grateful they have healthier choices for a quick grab. Nice, brand new gas station & market. I drove by this site 4-5 times a day during construction and it was a very well run project. The contractor should be proud of himself. The facility is sparkly new with quality gas at Arco prices. The market is fantastic! It's a mini grocery store with shopping carts and aisles. They have an entire aisle of hard alcohol and at least a 500 square foot walk in freezing cold beer cooler which is nice. Lots of good products at normal prices. Icee machine, cappuccino & shake machine, lots of coffee and pastries, fried chicken, pizza & burritos, beautiful floors and a great addition to the neighborhood. OK so I live on L Paseo and 111 I went to the Tower market tonight as I am a regular there for gasoline and sometimes the occasional bottle of wine. I purchased a bottle of Absolut vodka for the party that we're having at our house tonight I had $300 on me in $100 bills. The total amount was $22.77 the asshole behind the counter said he didn't have change for $100 bill I came in after searching my car for $.77 and gave him $22.77. I proceeded to ask for a bag he said that will be another $.10 I said all I have are large bills He refused to give me a $.10 bag I had to ask a customer behind me for a dime to buy the bag. The cashier then said to me it's not my problem that you don't have any money he was completely arrogant inconsiderate and uneducated and not worthy of a job. I intend to follow up tomorrow as this is my regular gas station I will be telling all of my friends about my experience tonight as most of them are at my party tonight. He was completely disrespectful not even courteous or kind I had more than enough money to pay for a bag he just didn't have the change and humiliated me and five other people in line.
