Most random location in the world for vegan fast food. It's fast, cheap, and shockingly good. In a town that is truly hard to find value this is my secret get away. Patio setting in the summer, and tons of setting inside as well. Helpful hint, go before noon or after 12:30. College students frequent during lunch and line can be a bit long, still very very fast. read more

I would like to clarify that it's a vegetarian service not vegan, the food definitely has cheese in it. That being said the food is amazing, the service is just as great, and there are lots of seat in arrangements available. read more

This place is fantastic, You would never realize they have such great burgers here until you try one. I finally tried the Yogi the other day for the first time and it blew my mind. Really good food, and a ton of fun. Like Mike said, most random location in the world for vegan fast food but it works really well, and it is cheap and amazingly good. I keep going back for more. Next on the try list will be the reuben, I've heard it's amazing, although it will be hard for me to not get a Yogi again because it's so good. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed the food at The Express while I was a student at Walla Walla University. Now I'm back in town after completing more education, and the Express is even better with an expanded seating area and a larger menu. I love their yogi burger and the huge range of flavors they offer for soft-serve ice cream and milkshakes. Recently they have added several types of smoothie as well... mmmmmmmm. read more

Not a fan of this place. Having a multiple gas stations in College Place is nice but it's not like it's cheaper then most. My problem with this store is that it's way over priced and they upped the price too. I have gotten the haystack before, because it's bigger, so I feel like I get a better deal. But when I looked at my receipt this time it was more then what the menu said. When I asked about it, they said they had changed prices on friday and that they can do that because of the little disclaimer saying prices can change without notice. Can they do that? Sure, but to add, the manager had an attitude, and lectured me about it. Both times I've gone here I had the haystack and it wasn't great. It was a mix of store bought preprocess stuff and the only redeeming part was the Doritos. Cost like $8+. The only reason I see it still being open is because it's run by WWU and college students don't want to always leave campus so they accept getting overpriced stuff so they don't have to drive for 2 mins to Walmart. I wonder if the burgers are better but everything is so pricey I don't want to waste the money to find out. read more

Go there for gas or quick meal, the vegetarian burger is worth trying - on whole wheat bun of course! The building has been revamped and expanded to include a better seating area and public restrooms. Operated by Walla Walla University, the building used to be a dairy, which made its own cottage cheese and ice cream sandwiches. Gone are the cows, so gone is the dairy. What remains is a pleasant place to grab those convenience food items while traveling thru College Place. read more

This Shell station is owned by Walla Walla University and operated by business majors and student employees. It offers a convenience store and some vegetarian fast food. My favorites are the Chicken "Yogi" Burger, a pseudo chicken sandwich with mozerella and gresh veggies, and the breakfast sandwich, which is a fried egg sandwich with vegetarian bacon and American cheese. You can also get vegetarian corn dogs, hamburgers, and rueben sandwiches as well as potato wedges, curly fries, and cheese-filled tater tots. The convenience store is pretty standard except due to the religious beliefs of the school, no tobacco products, alcohol, or lottery tickets are sold there. For the same religious reasons, the store is closed on Friday evening until Saturday evening for Sabbath observation, but gasoline is available to those who need it and are paying with credit or debit cards. There is an incredible selection of other beverages and I frequently find new ones to try. If you're brave go for a Reed's Ginger Brew, with 17g of ginger in every bottle; I prefer the raspberry one because the sweet berry taste lessens the bite a little. There are no customer restrooms at the station, but customers may go across the street to the university if they have to. One of the nearby buildings there is open the same hours as the station and has public restrooms on the ground floor. The reasoning for this is that the county won't allow customers to use the restroom where it is located, probably due to food handling concerns. There have been discussions of rebuilding the station to include more seating and to offer more food choices, but I haven't heard anything on timeframe for these changes. read more
