I'm disappointed that andy's market has essentially "sold out" to giant corporate interests. A grocery store built on the premise of healthy options now sells mostly main stream junk food products from the mega corporation Pepsico which uses very manipulative advertising and false claims. Their cereal is mostly sugar based, same effect on the brain as cocaine and proven to cause brain rot. There are few to no organic options I buy such as hummus, cereal, chips, non sweetened fruit, bread, unprocessed protein options, and milk. Personally I don't like being "served", I think required politeness and civility hurts workers by emotionally enslaving them and isn't authentic to the history of the products, how they are made, and what they really are. Instead of processing the history of products they are selling empty emotional transactional "vibes" essentially trying to emotionally own the transaction. Payment shouldn't be a value The bulk food section is an option with a wide selection though not as many organic options as I'd prefer. The vitamin selection is adequate though I'd prefer to buy medicinal tinctures in larger quantities than available. The vegetarian processed food is too expensive to buy on a budget, non organic, and have way too much oil and salt in them. Most of the brands sold are lecherous and emotionally manipulative. I know they are trying to process their "biblical" beliefs but "killer" bread, "love" cereal, "gold" milk, "Morningstar" vege food, is just garbage. read more

Rather limited selection of fresh produce. (Perhaps this is due to COVID measures.) We visit Walla Walla quite often and are always hoping to find a grocery with a good selection of fresh organic and/or local produce. Andy's is a small step in that direction, but was below our modest expectations. read more

Great bulk section. Great Vegetarian Selection. Mediocre (but slowly getting better) Vegan section. HUGE section of vitamins and supplements. Great frozen Vegetarian selection. Produce is cheap, but the Organic section is almost non-existent. Suggestions: Increase organic offerings. Decrease crappy, unhealthy offerings. I wish they would aim for a whole foods type atmosphere, they've got a great start. read more

Best place to buy produce for both the freshness & price. They buy locally when they can. Great variety of bulk bin spices, flours, pasta, etc. Store focuses on veg*n, organic and gluten-free alternatives. No butcher aisle or alcohol (unless you count kombucha :P) . There are 5% discount days - Tuesdays or Thursdays, I think. And their outdoor vegetable & herb plants are usually the best condition for the best price as well. Not sure if they have the same vendor each year for xmas trees, but they have been great at Andy's, though a bit pricey. Anything prepackaged/frozen/canned is usually over-priced, so I usually only go there for the produce & bulk bins. They also seem to carry more specialty ethnic ingredients than other local stores. read more

Andy's is always a treat to shop at since their bulk selection is so inexpensive and expansive! It's a great resource if you're trying new recipes and don't want to buy a 2lb bag of quinoa flour etc. There's also a great section for Hispanic food and ingredients. read more

Did some shopping while in the CP area, Andy's always has those great things I am looking for, organic local walnuts, Daiya Cheese Cake, Gardein Chicken Tenders (vegan).... Amazing vegetarian selection. This market sits in a somewhat religious part of town and many of the locals follow a vege diet. Just my luck. Andy's should be called "all foods vegetarian and organic." This place has a better selection of veg food than the big 'ol Fred Meyer in Seattle. And the prices... I almost cried tears of joy when I saw my bill. For example, $5 and some odd change per pound for a lovely assortment of salted deluxe mixed nuts. Good nuts. Yummy nuts. Screw you Seattle and your ten dollars a pound! Stick your over-priced nuts where the sun don't shine. Thank you Andy's. You're just one more reason I'm so content with my new life in Walla Walla. I shop at Andys for the local produce with great prices, the bulk food section, and the options for ethnic cooking ingredients - lots of items you can't find at Walmart! Also love that they include a small high quality meat section, and the natural health center for supplements is the best place to go anywhere in Walla Walla Valley. Love Andy's. The produce is fresh, local when in season. The bulk food is the best in this area. Dry beans? Pasta? Flour....sure.....wheat, rice and even buckwheat flour. Where can you buy pecans for $3.00, someting per pound, pine nuts for $12.00 per pound. Nuts and grains , dried and fresh fruit for the best prices in town. They have a vitamin section. No meat counter, but do have frozen fish, chicken and Hamburger. Try the veggie meat. When you need toilet paper, or cleaning supplies, go to WalMART. Best food in town. read more

If you haven't been to Andy's Market in College Place, you are paying far too much for produce. The store is always clean, they have very fresh produce and don't forget to check out the bulk section. Possibly the best bulk section in WallaWalla. Everything from dried fruits and grains to granola, pasta, nuts, flour, sugars, salts and everything in-between, like dried fruits. I can't tell you all they have in bulk, but very economical. The downside is this store is owned by Seventh-Day Adventist (not a bad thing), so therefore does not carry any meat. but you can find canned tuna and lots of veggie meat. They also close at least an hour before sundown on Fri, are closed on Sat. Word to the wise....DO NOT GO on Fri afternoon. It can get crazy in there. read more

Andy's is the best natural foods-type market in Eastern Washington. They have an outstanding bulk foods section and if you're searching for a weird ingredient for a vegetarian recipe, they probably stock it. They won't have the primo stock of a big city market, but they're the best things we've got out here in the boonies. This place is also run by Seventh Day Adventists, so they're closed on Saturdays and their hours vary based on the season. read more

Andy's has everything going for it except for the fact that it closes early on Fridays and stays shut over the weekend, but I guess that's how Seventh Day Aventists do things. Produce is cheap and often very, very good, and I've yet to find something I needed for a vegetarian or vegan recipe that they didn't have here. The bulk foods section is enormous, bafflingly inexpensive, and serves as a comprehensive index of fringe ingredients one might need for fake meats or baked goods, and the spices are both fantastic, come in enormous jars, and helped me quickly reintroduce things with multisyllabic names into my cooking after a summer of loathing, confusion, overpriced avocados and this awful peanut sauce dish I made, found terrible, and ate for four days in a 105-degree heat-induced haze. read more

In my book, Andy's gets a 4/5 only because they dont have a meat counter. They do sell nearly everything else. Despite a previous poster that said they do not sell meat, I disagree you can find meat products there, just not fresh. This is the best and most affordable place in Walla Walla to buy your fresh produce. Plus they have double ad Wednesdays - you get the bonus of the prior and current sale ad. This place also has the best service of any grocer in town. I have seen people buying produce by the cases. Love it! They save us a ton of money. read more

Looking for healthful eating items for your table, Andy's is the place to shop. They bring in fresh produce and have an excellent vitamin/herbal/supplement section where clerks greet you & point you right to what you are inquiring about. The store is big enough to carry all that you might need, yet small enough that you don't have to walk a mile to get just two items. On a diet to lose weight? The price of fresh produce and ability to obtain nuts and grains in bulk is a real plus and so easy on the budget. A downside might be that they are closed Friday evening to Saturday evening for biblical reasons, but as I have shopped there since the building was built many years ago, I'm used to it. read more

Andy's is an interesting grocery store. It's got a wide variety of bulk foods arranged in a quirky sometimes non-sensical manner. It's often hard to spot which bulk foods are organic because the labeling is cryptic. But I don't mean to complain because I do adore Andy's. You see, you can get all kinds of fabulous vegetarian foods there, but it's not technically a "natural" foods store. These folks have absolutely no fear of sugar or processed foods! You can get bulk organic brown rice, and you can get brain-numbing donuts, all in one stop! Also, the prices are good at Andy's. They typically have the most reasonable prices on organic foods. In addition, they offer 5% off on customer appreciation days, Tuesdays and Thursdays. All in all, I trust Andy's more than any other store not to overcharge me. I love Andy's. I've lived in Walla Walla for 15 years and it is the place to go for groceries. Sure their processed foods are a little more than other grocery stores, but that just gives me more incentive not to buy them when I go to the grocery store! Bulk and produce sections are awesome and by far the best in town as far as price/selection/quality. The addition of their small fresh meat cooler is perfect too. I do occasionally still go to other grocery stores to get some things, but Andy's is my go to place. read more

this grocery store has got to be the best health foods grocery store in walla walla. in fact, it's so good, i would take it back with me to california. they have the most vegetarian food i have seen in any single american grocery store. and the amount of healthy foods they offer is unbelievable. they sell food in bulk, gluten-free products, vegetarian meat substitutes, fresh veggies and fruits, supplements, lunches. some of the products are a pricey, but to have them all offered in one place, it's worth it. and plus, they sell their items in bulk, so if you eat a lot, host a party, or own a restaurant, it's a great deal. :) read more
