I stopped here on my way up to Monterey because they advertised clean restrooms. It's up a hill and desolate so you can get in and out quick and yes, the restrooms were clean and also very spacious. Absolutely terrible experience at this gas station. The cashier was unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and acted like customers had no common sense while he was the one creating confusion. Bathroom is big enough for three or four stalls and clean. It did not feel gross like many restrooms. The guy working at the station was smiling and kind. Lots of variety of snacks. The attendant, whom I politely told I was going to leave my motorcycle t the pump while I ate a burrito from the food truck in the parking lot, said why don't you move it? The thing about driving long distance is that you can't avoid peeing. You just can't!! There's no way you can last a 6-7 hour drive without stopping once to pee.... well, maybe YOU can, but *I* can't. I've stopped at some nasty ass gas stations driving to Vegas and back and of course, from LA to SF and back. It's a crap shoot which gas station you chance upon because who knows what your bladder plans to do en route. Anyway, if you're able to plan it, Mercy Springs Shell is a good place to stop. It is located next to a fruit/nut stand and the bathrooms are clean. It is small though and doesn't carry a lot of stuff in terms of drinks or snacks, but, if you just want the regular stuff like Coke or coffee, then it'll suffice. Next to the fruit stand there is an open piece of empty land space where I saw parents let their children out of their minivans and run around for a while before embarking on their trip again. For me, as long as the restrooms are clean, I'm a happy camper. read more

This place is getting 5 stars because their women's bathroom is a godsend for the weary female traveller. They have 4 decently clean stalls. 4!!!! I also like the tacos that are nearby. Not sure about the experience at the actual gas station because I always just went straight to the bathroom. I also don't feel guilty not buying anything (they don't have the "bathroom for paying customers only" plastered anywhere (well at least from what I noticed)). read more

I walked in the store and grabbed a drink I heard the lady say we need to put the sign In Spanish so people can read it so I look over to the door and there was a sign that said (no mask no service) I guess I didn't see it when I walked in so I go up to pay and she told me i need a mask in order to buy the drink so I go out side and grab some food another guy try's to go in with no mask and the don't let him in after grabbing my food I see a guy walk out the store with no mask and he had bought some goodies so I decide to walk in the store and ask why he was able to purchase items with no mask and the lady says "I can't fucken believe this bull shit" and the other employee says "well he walked in with his shirt over his mouth" I guess you can use your shirt as a mask now! read more

My boyfriend and I have gone to Disneyland three times since we have been together. This is always our first stop on the trip from San Jose. The restrooms are always very clean and they have a spacious lot is it is always nice to walk around for a bit to stretch the legs. I skipped breakfast this morning so I grabbed some jerky to tide me over till lunch. About 7.50 for a larger bag which is pretty normal I suppose for jerky. The food inside wasn't stale so that's good! read more

What is confusing is that it is located on Mercy Springs Road... and Mercey Springs is not even close to this gas station... I know... we drove to it from here! Oh wait... that is a bit confusing.... Pulled over here yesterday for gas/restroom break on the way back from a road trip. The nice thing about this location is that there is plenty of parking space in the adjacent lot (next to the fruit stand) and the attendant was quiet friendly. Other than that, there are not many other perks here: the station and mini-market are really small (about 6 gas pumps & limited variety of food/snacks) while the restrooms were cramped and very dirty. To top it off, the price for unleaded gas ($4.39/gal) was 10 cents higher than the next closest gas station (Chevron: $4.29/gal). My recommendation is to try the Chevron on the next exit: you'll save some change on gas and there's a good chance the restroom facilities will be cleaner. For southbound travelers: continue south on I-5 for another 6 miles/5 minutes and exit Ness Avenue to get to the Chevron. read more

It's a lonely little Shell station next to the freeway. At night you might see its lit sign all by itself. The Mercey Springs Rd exit is seemingly dedicated just to this Shell (not really, the road goes off the other way, but there's nothing else around). Prices are, as you'd expect, higher than locations where there's some competition. There's a convenience store attached to the station. I stopped there last night and walked/peed the dog (no grass, just weeds, and concrete and mud). There was a hose lying around where I watered the dog. But the best thing was... the taco truck.
