Never thought I'd rate a gas station, 10/10 bathroom that's it. Just a great clean bathroom.

Conveniently located gas station when coming from thee south where it feels like the middle of nowhere for miles. Gas is $5.09 per gallon today which seems high. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I always pump gas at Shell and the fact that I was treated in this manner truly bummed me out. Not only was I cussed out but I also had to go to the gas station next door to pump gas as a result. L employee. Sad situation. read more

Disgusting customer service from the worker not sure what her name was but she was skinny with black hair. Parked at a pump and was sitting in my car for not even 5 minutes before she came out yelling at another car to leave because other customers needed the pump as there were Multiple other pumps open. She came to my car screaming to "get the f out of here" that she had proof of me being there for 15 minutes as I asked for proof she ignored me. calling me a "bitch" as she was walking away. do not not recommend going there especially considering those gas prices. read more

I use this gas station when getting discounts with RALPHS Rewards points, I was traveling out of the country and noticed a $80.00 dollar charge on my credit card that was in my possession, contacted the bank and they cancelled my card (very inconvenient when traveling!). read more

It's on the way home back to Daygo, and the last gas station before getting to Oceanside, I repeat!! it's the LAST gas station headed south before the stretch- San Clemente to Oceanside, Not sure how many miles but it's NOT just a few. I've been nerved racked going through it with thinking" am I gonna make it ..." so trust me, just get gas here! I give this gas station a zero. I spent my money putting gas at this station and they have no empathy for the elderly or anyone who is in need. I stopped by and decided to use the restroom. A lady spent more than 30 minutes stating she was disinfecting the bathroom. Her name is Gina and was very rude stating she is unable to let anyone in. An elderly woman said she was waiting for more than 30 minutes, I waited an additional 15 and still was unable to use it. Gas is gas but just based on that type of inconvenience I will discourage anyone from spending their money at this station. read more

Let's be real here, it's a gas station, but I have been here to snap a picture for Yelp. Nothing too fancy here, but they do sell firewood and ice if you're going camping and you're in a bind! The bathrooms aren't horrible (as long as you're a guy and not taking a dump), decent enough to change in as long as your feet don't touch the floor. read more

This serves as a quick stop when I was driving back to LA. I was in need of a restroom break, and some water. I drove up, bough a gallon of water. I stood in line for the restroom for less then a minute. The place was clean: both the convenience store and the restrooms were on point. Just about all other patrons were in and out, no bad characters hanging around. It's an alright gas station that served its purpose well. read more

Their pumps repeatedly don't work, won't read your credit card or rewards card. The Shell-Ralph's rewards program is great but the payment machines here use up your reward points and doesn't apply the discount to your fuel. Go somewhere else. read more

They don't have card machine in their gas pumps, so you have to pay inside to do it. You can't do a complete fill up unless you know how much it will cost you. They want a specific amount before you pump. And if you don't use it all, then you have to wait for the money to be credited to your account. Very inconvenient for customers. Won't be coming back. We should boycott this place. My 66 GTO broke down today around 11, I was able to move it into a parking spot here at this POS gas station. I went inside and asked very nicely if it was okay parked there until we could get it towed. She said yes but make sure it gone by tonight. Okay- I went home, made arrangements for a tow with AAA, we show up and the car is GONE. This a-hole had it towed for no reason. Even after saying it was okay- I arrive at 4 (not even evening) and they towed it! Talk about mean and just a an overall terrible person with nothing better to do than to get a kickback from a towing company and charge us $300 to pick it up. I will NEVER go here again and neither should you. We are San Clemente locals and have lived here our whole lives- why treat your neighbors/fellow small business owners like this? I drive from San Diego to Orange County everyday and sometimes I have to stop at this gas station for gas and the bathrooms are never open. And the jack in the back next door ha the same thing! Do not gas your car here. My car doesn't hold more than 14 gallons of gas but they charged me for over 22 gallons ($99) and despite many phone calls wouldn't refund or help in any way. I suspect this is a fraudulent operation and they are hoping that you don't check your credit card statement. read more

Well i hate writing bad reviews...unless it's a blatantly unfair, horrible experience. Hoping and praying that it might help in some small significant way...to make this a better world. Now, I can see that it might not make much of a difference if this place has horrible reviews from the past as things don't seem to change. Last night we where coming from visiting family in Ensenada, when our car started to loose power. It was extremely scary because our car almost turned off at the freeway exit with no lights and no hazard lights to warn exiting traffic that we were at the exit turn...I could almost feel the impact of an unsuspecting car hitting us because we were not very visible. By a small miracle our car got a small bust of power and we were able to exit the off ramp and pull into the first lighted area we could find, before our car died. We managed to pull into a parking spot, out of the way, at this gas station. We asked for help from the Boricuan attendant, but she couldn't help us, and that was ok...that's how this world is now a days, nothing new. Long story short...when our AAA guy came to help us within a couple of minutes she came out and started yelling at him to move his truck out of the way. That it was bad enough that we where already taking up the parking space with our situation and now he was blocking the costumers that were trying to fill up. That was a lie... he was somewhat blocking some spots...but many more where easily accessible and even those spots where able to be accessed from the other side. At this point we just wanted to get out ASAP, not like we where there because we wanted to be there at 12:30 in the morning and chit chat. I wouldn't have written any type of review if it wasn't for the last straw...she actually called the Sherif's department. Really!?!? We had 4 kids with us where is the compassion in this world anymore? We didn't even go in to use the bathroom. Little did she know that my sister in law works for the Sheriff's department in that area. So we weren't worried. What exactly did we do wrong?! As it was mentioned before when you need gas you need gas! We don't normally check on gas station reviews...so this review might not make any changing impact, but we have to speak out when unjust things happen in this world! read more

Just a quick stop off of Highway five. I was so pleasantly surprised to have a perfectly clean bathroom, fully stocked with seat covers and toilet paper. They had fresh fruit inside and a good variety of drinks including diet Dr Pepper. Yay. The cashier was very personable and helpful. Thank you so much! read more

Not too many gas stations around, so they can charge any price they wish. This location is run down, but if you need gas this will do. If you want a nicer and safer location, see if you have enough gas to fill-up in Irvine. read more

Stopped here for gas on our way along the 5. Had to fill up and use the restroom too, which I HATE doing at a gas station. Also, the restrooms are outside rather than inside, which usually makes it worse! But... to my pleasant surprise, the restrooms were spotless. Not a scrap of paper on the floor and it smelled good to boot. Came here to use the restroom and get some chips.. one restroom was being used and the other I wasn't sure if they were cleaning it or were done cleaning it. None the less an employee by the name of Elsa came out and rudly said the cones are there for a reason so get out. Then she goes on to tell me to go on a diet and loose some weight. I accidentally spilled the gas from the nozzle the car in front of me was very close and had to park little bit far away from the gas pump. This gas station is small and yea I know it's my fault that I spilled the gas but, the register lady couldn't speak or use English well and earned bad customer service. Plus the gas price is expensive compared to other place, so be careful! (Especially the Hispanic lady register because she can't and doesn't even try to communicate with you. Also watch out for the pump #1 because pump 1 is in a narrow spot.) read more

I absolutely refuse to use shell unless the situation is absolutely calling for it. I would drive my tank to E to get to the next station instead. none the less, this place was horrible. Service is very slow, workers are either mean, negligent, or unaware you are at the register. Parking is always horrible and there are tons of cracks and potholes all over the place. That and they charge you to use a debit or credit card to fill up. complete B.S. if you can avoid the san clemente shell stations be sure that you do. I work graveyard shift and have caught employee's sleeping on the job. No judgement I just knocked and woke the guy up but I needed desperately to put gas to drive myself home. Ok - I can see some of the lower ratings due to the in/out situation. That's not easy. But - this service station has the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen. Gas is reasonable for the area. The store is small but has the basics. The owner operator is as nice as can be. If you need a stop along the way I recommend you try it. read more

DO NOT GET GAS HERE. If you do so, you're doing so at your own risk. Gas station botched my transaction and I was liable for it. Staff was utterly useless and said that they did not keep receipts. I didn't really want to write a review but I just had to because I felt like the cashier was racist. I just wanted to buy some sunflower seeds and the guy behind the counter, (old guy with white hair and white beard) charged me 7 freakin dollars. Seriously looked at him and then looked at the register to see that it was a misc. sale. I used to work in retail and when you change a price, it usually goes under misc. sale. Even the guy behind me said, " Damn man that is the most expensive batch of sunflower seeds I have ever seen." I looked at the cashier and just told him to cancel my transaction, put the seeds back and said," Really 7 bucks, there's something wrong here and walked out." It really sucks when you have to deal with this when you shouldn't have to. I saw a liquor store down the street and bought the seeds at 1.69. Really makes you wonder. Yes, I did fill up my tank there too. Oh well, I guess that's the last time I will get gas there. read more
